❶ 🅓🅐🅨 TO END OF THE WORLD + TAGGED (AGAIN)

Why . . .

Why does the world work like that?

When is it decided that the life of someone has been led to it's fullest point, that it shouldn't continue any longer?

Who decides who lives and who dies?

Is everything really always up to chance, or does someone of a much greater power control this game in which we all are living board pieces in?

Does everything really always happen for a reason? Is that reason because somebody with this god-like tier of importance and power rolls a dice and decides what happens to someone?

Are we or are we not all just pawns in this realistic game of life?

Who really controls the world and what happens to it?

Who decides who will feel pain and who will feel anger and happiness?

Are we all just created as some trophies for somebody else to admire and stash away for another one of their games?

Really . . . Who is in control of the world?

Why was the world ending?

Everyone capable of controlling thoughts all had that question in their minds. Why, in January of A.D. 1990, would all the people die on the planet Earth? Was there simply nothing left for the race of humankind to accomplish, to set for as a goal, to even consider thinking about creating for others? Were the humans simply cut short of any remaining luck, and the weather randomly started to become aggressive, along with the air soon to be completely drained because of a hole in the atmosphere?

Why would that happen? Why did it have to be that way? Nobody knew. It was just the way the rulers above wanted their fates to be.

But what if there was a reason for Earth's demise?

What if these characters known as Jotaro Kujo and Noriaki Kakyoin were solely the most important characters of a game? What if the player has waited ever since this game started for these two specific characters to be released into the game? The player would also have favorite side characters: Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo's grandfather; Muhammad Avdol, introduced by Joseph Joestar; Jean Pierre Polnareff, introduced while the crusaders were in Hong Kong; Iggy, brought to the crusaders by two members of the SPW Foundation. Of course, the player had other favorites, too, but from different time periods. These six characters were known as "the crusaders" from the named chapter known as "Stardust Crusaders." There were many people on Earth, billions, in fact, but these six were some of the most special of all.

In this game, the player's job was to observe what happens to these billions of people on planet Earth. The player watched over every single human and living organsim, observing their thoughts, actions, feelings and conversations. It was an endless game that once started, you could never back out. You had to play it until you decided that the world should end. The only thing the player controls is when a character will die and what happens to Earth. All weather and other things involving the Earth's natural cycles were within the player's grasp of control.

For the player, playing the game both a job and a chosen activity. They didn't have fun playing, nor did they ever get bored of it; it was simply something the player felt they had to do. The game would end only when the player felt that the world had liven up to it's full potential. There was only one rule, though: the player could not make selfish actions in any form or shape possible. Of course, every player always has their own personal favorite characters, but they couldn't make decisions based on their own thoughts. Unless the player wanted to release serious weather or wanted to toggle with the Earth's safety and otherwise end the world, would they affect what happens to a character.

This was the case for the characters known as Jotaro Kujo and Noriaki Kakyoin. The player has been waiting millions of years for these two characters to be released, and has now finally been able to observe their lives. The player didn't know why those two were their favorite characters; it simply felt right. It was their destiny that the player would make sure the two character's lives were built to perfection.

This player was smarter than most. They had other ways of making sure their favorite character's lives were perfectly led, even if they had to end the world to do so, a strategy that most players didn't follow. Most would lead their own games on for millions more years so they would be satisfied with their work, but this player thought differently.

Why was this player unleashing weather that would destroy the world, thus ending their game that has lasted for millions of years?

It was simple: the player knew in their heart that it was the right choice. It wasn't selfish that they were deciding the planet known commonly as Earth would end. They knew all too well—it was time for Earth to end, even though they were sad about it.

And so, the player started to release hazardous weather, slowly ending the lives of everyone on Earth. The characters Jotaro Kujo and Noriaki Kakyoin would be some of the last to go. And, unexpectedly, they got together. All it took was a life-ending situation, and they found eachother. The player knew they held strong feelings for one another, but couldn't do anything to help them figure it out. The only solution was to end the world. The player ended the world only because they knew it was time, but at the same time put the two characters together. It was solely a side bonus for the player about to complete the game.

. . . Was that all a metaphor?

. . . Was it really all "what ifs" and "maybes?"

More or less, yes, it was. Nobody knew for sure who controlled the world, or if everything really was left up to the dice of chance.

But, what if for a split second, you believed that was how the world really worked?

Was it all just . . . A game?

[FEBRUARY 16TH, 1990]

[MORNING - 11:00 A.M.]

[11 MONTHS UNTIL END OF THE WORLD]

— • —

It's been a month since the defeat of DIO.

Jotaro was almost finished with his recovery, but Kakyoin on the other hand still had a long way to go. Of course, Jotaro wasn't all the way healed, but as far as his bone fractures went, they didn't stop him from going back to his normal life for too long. They only kept him in the hospital for a month, and he was good to go after.

Kakyoin, depending on how active and hard-working he was when he would wake up, would be in the hospital for about a year. If he put in extra work into getting his body back into fully functional shape, as Jotaro expected he would, he would only stay in the hospital for around ten months.

But nobody knew when he would wake up. It could be a few days, months, or even years. Jotaro hoped it wasn't the latter of the three. The SPW Foundation was willing to go very far for Kakyoin to get well again, but if it took years to do so, it may have just been a lost cause to begin with. If Kakyoin showed no signs of waking up within a year, the SPW Foundation may very well consider taking him off life support.

Today was the day that Jotaro would be released from the hospital. They were not in Cairo anymore, and had been moved to Tokyo, Japan, just a week ago. Polnareff also had been on critical condition, but his wounds were nowhere near as serious as Kakyoin's. He, as well as Joseph, came along with the SPW Foundation, and began to stay at Holly's house. Polnareff and Joseph didn't plan on staying too long, as they had their own countries to go back to.

"Jotaro~!"

Holly swept her arms around her son, burying her face in his chest. Jotaro scowled in embarrassed, as well as wince when a sharp pain radiated from his ribs.

"Ow . . . Mom, let go. Don't forget that I literally just got my ribs broken only a month ago."

Holly stepped back. "Sorry! I just can't hold myself back from hugging my only son that is just about to be released from the hospital after an entire month~!"

Behind her stood Joseph, smirking at Jotaro. One of his arms were thrown over Polnareff's shoulders, who was currently using crutches to get around. He was almost done with the crutches, but decided to use them for a little bit longer just in case.

Holly was discharging out Jotaro from the hospital. They were at the front desk, Holly just now talking to an attendant. It would take a few minutes for her to completely remove Jotaro from the hospital with all of his needed medication and instructions on what to do until his fractures fully healed.

"Hey, Jotaro," Joseph began, "have you gotten anymore news about Kakyoin?"

"Ah . . . No. I check on him everyday and always ask about his condition. Everytime, it's always the same exact dumb shit: "Sorry, Mr. Jotaro, nothing new yet", "Sorry dear, no more information on Kakyoin regarding his condition", that sort of stuff."

"Well . . . Did you want to visit him again before we leave?"

Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes. Jotaro wished he could stay with Kakyoin until the day he woke up from his coma. He wanted to stay in that same room with Kakyoin, talk to him about everything, even though he knew that Kakyoin wouldn't answer back. It hurt Jotaro every time when he looked at Kakyoin, then thought about his own condition.

Why couldn't it have been Jotaro that had a hole in his chest?

Why did someone as innocent and caring and gentle as Kakyoin have to go and get the most major wound of all four of them? Why did he have to suffer when Jotaro was the one DIO was really out to kill in the first place? Why did he ever have to get involved with the other crusaders and risk his life on their journey to Egypt?

. . . Why did he even volunteer to go in the first place?

Then again . . . Why did Jotaro save Kakyoin from staying DIO's subordinate?

Neither of them knew the answer to those questions. They didn't know what their reasons were, but felt in their hearts that it would be the right decisions for the outcome.

But there was another question that had crossed Jotaro's mind many of times during his stay at the hospital.

Why was Kakyoin still alive?

Jotaro knew it was impossible. He read Kakyoin's health records, his papers that clearly stated his health stats in how critical his condition was. He lost too much blood, lost consciousness for the longest amount of time with a gaping hole in his stomach area, and regained his heartbeat after a long time of being left alone, stuck in a water tower, bleeding to death.

Why did this miracle happen?

Jotaro thought about it constantly, only to find no answer. Maybe Kakyoin had been kept alive for a reason. Nobody knew for sure how it was possible.

"Yeah . . . I'd like that."

A minute later they arrived at Kakyoin's room. Inside, it was still as ever. The rising and falling of Kakyoin's chest, as well as the lines and numbers from his hearbeat monitor, were the only signs of movement in the entire room. The endless buzz of machines repeatedly went off, an orchestra of sounds Jotaro had grown to dislike greatly during his time in the hospital.

Kakyoin was pale as ever, eyes fully closed, lips slightly parted, revealing a small portion of his front teeth. His usually bright hair had grown dull in the pale room, having not been groomed in over a month. The visible muscle mass in his arms had shrunk a bit away from lack of use. It still pained Jotaro to do so much as look at Kakyoin in his coma-induced state.

The three men took a seat on either side of Kakyoin's bed, Joseph sitting next to Jotaro and Polnareff sitting by himself. Their eyes focused on everything but Kakyoin's unmoving body.

"So, you came in here everyday to check up on Kakyoin?" Joseph asked, averting his gaze to Jotaro. Jotaro lowered the bill of his hat, suddenly not in the mood for talking. Lips pulled into a sudden scowl, he replied: "Yeah, I did. Why do you care?"

"Just curious."

Jotaro scoffed, crossing his arms. Why did they come up to Kakyoin's room again? It was complete waste of time. Jotaro visited Kakyoin every day for the past month, only to be met with the same results of silence each time. Today wouldn't be any different.

Or so he thought, until Kakyoin's violet eyes popped open.

[JANUARY 15TH, 1990]

[EVENING - 7:00 P.M.]

[1 DAY UNTIL END OF THE WORLD]

— • —

Many things happened last night.

Jotaro and Kakyoin had the most serious mental breakdowns that one could ever possibly imagine. Their Stands had drawn themselves out, trying to calm down their users as well as they could. Jotaro had even went so far as to punch a hole in the wall, and Star Platinum had restrained him after that.

Joseph, Holly, Polnareff and Suzie Q were now likely dead due freezing to death, the cause of the two Japanese men's breakdowns. And Jotaro knew for sure that they were gone; his only reasoning was because he didn't get a daily phone call from his mother. He cried about that, too, earlier today.

Another thing that happened:

They had sex.

(A/N Dec 30, 2020: Jesus Christ, I never realized how freaking embarrassing this was until recently. Then again, I really only did it to see what reactions I would get from writing so straightforward like this. It was 100% my intention to make this funny, actually. :))

What the reason was for, they assumed it was because they were in such a vulnerable, mournful position. They were more than blinded by sadness at the time. They needed something to calm themselves down or make them more relaxed. It certainly wasn't something neither of them thought about doing anytime soon, but there wasn't a better possible time to do it.

". . . J-JoJo?" Kakyoin whispered, teeth clacking together loudly.

"Y-Y-Yeah, Nori?"

"Can we . . . U-um . . . D-Do it?"

"You mean . . . Have sex?"

"Yeah . . ." Kakyoin looked away, equally as embarrassed as Jotaro at the mention of doing "it."

"Only if you want to."

"Then . . . Can we?"

"Yeah."

Wouldn't anyone else want to have sex at least one time before they died?

Of course, they took turns taking the respectful submissive and dominate positions. It may have been more enjoyable if the two hadn't been in such a depressing mood, but they still liked the experience of it all. They didn't talk much during those fragile moments, and cried even more during their long love-making session. More tears had been shed than words had been spoken.

That was last night, January 14th. Now they were at the beach, doing whatever they felt like doing.

It was cold, yes, but that didn't stop an ocean-lover like Jotaro Kujo from stripping off to only his swimming trucks and splashing around in the water. He shivered the whole time while in the translucent blue liquid, but enjoyed it nonetheless. He smiled the entire time, submerging his hands underwater and grazing the scales of whatever fish swam close to him.

Kakyoin stayed at shore, preferring not to get wet and chilly like his boyfriend. He had set up his wooden easel and the canvas he had been working on for a few weeks now; it was the painting of him and Jotaro, the one he wanted to originally come out to him with; one of his many excuses for not confessing to Jotaro sooner. He was almost done touching it up, and had honestly forgotten about it when the two of them had spent every waking moment with one another.

"Hey, JoJo! Come here real quick! I've got something to show you~!"

Jotaro had been studying a seashell and turned his body to face Kakyoin. He shoved the seashell in his pocket and ran hurriedly over to Kakyoin.

"What is it? Did you finish the painting that you begged for me not to look at until you made sure it looked 100% perfect?"

Kakyoin nodded, sitting up and turning the easel over for Jotaro to see.

What had been created on the 60 x 72 inch canvas was nothing less than a masterpiece. Jotaro sat on a cube of nothingness, which was the same dark gray color as the background, his knees bent at the normal angle if one were to sit in a chair. He wore his usual black gakuran and hat, outlined and detailed with a bright neon blue shine. His left arm sat crossed in his lap, while his right bent a 90° angle to hold Kakyoin's hand.  Kakyoin stood above him, back slightly arched, bright red hair hanging from his head and his largest strand of hair covering a small portion of his face. He, too, wore his own gakuran, dark green outlined in a blinding rose gold. Their two sets of eyes, stunning lavender and oceanic turquoise, stared in opposing directions. Their faces were set in a neutral mood, but screamed loudly with beauty and passion. Not only were the proportions of their bodies perfect, but they were also so realistic they could easily be compared with a camera taken photo.

"Does it look alright?"

"Alright . . ." Jotaro breathed out, running a hand through his spiky black hair. "Noriaki, this . . . Damn, this is a literally a fucking masterpiece. How . . . How the hell do you do that?"

"Do this? All it takes is inspiration, experience and a little bit of paint." Kakyoin smiled at Jotaro, glad to have gotten the reaction he had hoped for. "In this case, my inspiration was you, Jotaro."

Jotaro picked up Kakyoin and swung him around in his arms, all the while showering him with millions of tiny kisses. They shared one last passionate kiss before Jotaro set down Kakyoin, looking suddenly at the waves of water before them and running back towards them. Kakyoin stared confusedly at him and saw Jotaro pick up something in his hands, running back to to Kakyoin immediately after.

"Noriaki, look! Look what I just saw up by the waves! Isn't it amazing? I've never seen a living one before!"

"What are you getting all excited about . . ?" Kakyoin peered closely as Jotaro's hands, seeing what was cupped inside them. It was a dark gray, almost black color, in the shape of a circle. He didn't get too much of a good look at it before he saw it moving around in Jotaro's palms, and Kakyoin jumped back in sudden frightenment.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!"

"Wait, what do you mean? It's a sand dollar, of course! Haven't you ever seen one before?"

"Yes, I have! But sand dollars are . . . Sand dollars are not supposed to MOVE! And I'm pretty sure they are the opposite color of that!"

"Are . . . Are you telling me you didn't know sand dollars are living things? I thought everyone knew that."

"W-What? They . . . They are living things?"

"Well, yeah . . . Like I said, I thought everyone knew that. But now I get to tell you all about them! These are living sand dollars, but when they die they lose their spines and the color from their bodies fade. What you originally thought were just "sand dollars" were actually their skeletons from after they die."

"Ah, well, that's pleasant to know . . . But, may I ask, why is your hand turning yellow?"

They looked down at Jotaro's palms. The sand dollar still sat flatly on top of them, but the skin on his palms began to turn yellow.

"Oh, this? This is a completely harmless substance that sand dollars normally release. I believe it's called "echinochrome." Do you wanna hold it?"

Kakyoin's face scrunched up briefly at the thought of a living sand dollar laying in his palms. "Um . . . I think I'll pass."

Jotaro finally put the sand dollar back after a few minutes of studying it carefully with his full interest. He joined Kakyoin back on the shore. They were now laying on their backs, staring up at the sky above; a beautiful combination of red, yellow and gold sat before their eyes, along with large patches of light gray that resembled the clouds.

"That cloud looks like Death 13."

"Who?"

"Oh, wait . . . I forgot, you don't remember that Stand."

"I'm pretty sure I'd remember any Stand we fought if I saw it. Could you explain whatever I happen to not know about this "Death 13?""

Kakyoin spent a good ten minutes or so explaining the Stand and it's user to Jotaro.

"Are you sure all that happened?"

"You trust me, right?"

Jotaro suddenly remembered asking Kakyoin that same question five days ago. With a small smile, he gripped Kakyoin's hand in his own and kissed the top of it.

"Of course I do."

They continued to talk about random topics and whatever happened to cross their minds.

"If you had a kid, what would their name be?"

"You have to tell me your answer first."

"Fine. I've never planned on having my own kids, and would rather adopt. Now yours?"

"Um . . . Dunno, I've never really thought about it, but . . . I like the name Jolyne."

"But what if you had a son?"

"I wouldn't allow that to happen."

This earned a few laughs from both of them.

"Why does your hair do that?"

"Do what?"

"Zig-zag whenever you lick cherries."

"Dunno. Why does your hair fuse with your hat?"

"Why does . . . It . . . What?"

"I know the world is ending and all, but . . . If you were to come back as an animal, what would it be?"

"Isn't that obvious? A dolphin, of course."

They went back and forth in their conversation, asking whatever questions they wanted. They finally started to get bored and decided to do something else.

Jotaro hopped up onto the bed of his truck they drove out onto the beach, and jumped back down with a boombox in his arms. Kakyoin flipped through their collection of cassete tapes, picking out one and slipping in inside the boombox.

Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me) quietly started to play. Kakyoin turned up the volume and started to dance along with the song. Jotaro stared at him, an eyebow raised.

"C'mon, Jotaro! I wanna dance with somebody who loves me, and that "somebody" is you!"

Jotaro blushed in utter humiliation, grabbing the bridge of his nose, but he walked towards Kakyoin anyways.

"Okay, now how do I dance?"

"You just move however your body feels like moving! Express yourself in language of dance!"

"U-Uh, a-alright . . ." Jotaro attempted to do many different breakdance moves, his only guide the memory of how he saw other people dance in movies. He mostly failed at all of them, but performed them well enough that Kakyoin could see what dance moves he was trying to mimic. The only dance he succeeded in executing correctly was the Chicken Dance, in which Kakyoin burst out laughing to see somebody like Jotaro doing the silly dance.

The main chorus of the song was just about to play, and Kakyoin pulled Jotaro aside and grabbed both of his hands.

"Oh, I wanna dance with somebody
I wanna feel the heat with somebody
Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody
With somebody who loves me."

Kakyoin sang along with the lyrics, Jotaro trying his absolute best to spin Kakyoin around with one arm, as a couple in a movie would do. They took turns doing this movement, and Kakyoin burst out laughing when Jotaro tripped and fell onto the sand mid-twirl. The sand stuck to his back, arms and legs like glue since he was still wet from swimming. Jotaro smirked, purposely kicking a sandstorm worth of grainy, golden particles on his boyfriend, earning a complaint from the redhead. They resumed their dancing session when the main chorus repeated itself. The second time around, their dance was surprisingly much smoother and well-cordinated than last time.

They didn't realize it at first, but other people had started to join them as well. Jotaro and Kakyoin did see other people at the beach while driving amongst the coast, but didn't think much about it then. Now those same strangers were shyly dancing along with them, having fun despite their apocalyptic fate that would end them all tomorrow. They were smiling, laughing, and even engaging in conversation with other people. Kakyoin cranked up the music even louder, earning a cheer from everyone around them.

Everyone sang cheerfully in unison, including Kakyoin and Jotaro:

"Oh, I wanna dance with somebody
I wanna feel the heat with somebody
Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody
With somebody who loves me
Oh, I wanna dance with somebody
I wanna feel the heat with somebody
Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody
With somebody who loves me."

Kakyoin stopped Jotaro for a moment, whispering in his ear: "Thanks for dancing with me. I love you, Jotaro."

Jotaro kissed Kakyoin's cheek, touching his nose with his own.

"I love you too, Noriaki."

"Hmph . . . You don't have to remind me of your love for me."

"But don't I?" Jotaro winked at Kakyoin, a charming smirk overtaking his lips.

"You're such a nerd, Jotaro."

"Ha . . . You don't have to remind me of that."

To be continued . . . ——>

This is it, ladies and gentlemen. Only one chapter left, and we'll be done! I'm already getting sad just thinking about writing the next chapter. It's gonna be difficult asf to write.

But BRUH I kinda failed at making this chapter interesting?? Don't worry, next chapter will definitely make up for the action and sadness that this one was missing... 🥺

Next chapter may be a little short, but I promise I will try to write it as best to my ability as I can. It may be only 3000 words or so, but I will deliver it.

Before I begin with the tagging thing, I just wanna get something off my chest: I absolutely HATE the way my brother pronounces Jotaro's name. He says "Jo-TAR-oh", while I respect the Japanese translation and say "Jo-TUH-ro." I hope somebody understands my pain. 😭😭😭

Anyways, I got tagged once again by sinkingwmyships!! She's a talented fellow writer and I freaking love her (no homo obviously tho).

QUESTIONS!!:

1. Who tagged me? My girl above ^^

2. Zodiac? Sagittarius baybayyy~~

3. Fav game? I mean, I've never really had a favorite game?? But if I ever had to pick one, it would be Minecraft. I've been playing it forever and it never fails to entertain me.

4. Fav song/artist? Another one I can't exactly answer! I've never had a favorite artist because I like a mix of different people, but I've always liked PSY and Taylor Swift. I can listen to their songs anytime.

5. Say sth to my fans/followers? Um... I'm not good with expressing my feelings? But  I love all of y'all that have decided to continue to support me, especially those that have wrote me heartwarming comments that always lift my spirits (I'm talking to you sinkingwmyships, Tom_Holland_Is_Cute and wherearethecherriesx). I wouldn't be where I am today without any of y'all supportive peeps. 😔😔🥺🥺💕💗

6. Fav movie/show? I don't know?? I like whatever I'm obsessed with at the time. I don't have any favorite movies, but I love Hightown, Lucifer, Two Broke Girls, Mom, Ninjago (no judging allowed I've always loved that show), Initial D, and JJBA of course.

7. Either say a "did you know" fact or joke? I cannot come up with any jokes to save my life, so, uh.... Did you know that sand dollars are actually living organsims?? I only found out because of a YouTube video, and I got freaked the FuQQ out when I watched it. It was really weirrrd. 😶😶😶

8. Tags?
Well dammit, here we go again ....

HaydenStars, Tom_Holland_Is_Cute, wherearethecherriesx, Kakyoins_lost_cherry.

I'm sorry that I only came up with 4 peoplez. I just can't think of any other writers that I'd wanna tag again??

See ya . . . In the next chapter. ;(
