About a week had passed since the death of the number one and number two heroes, Deku and Ground Zero. As to be expected, Neither Hasumi nor Shimazaki took it well. But Hasumi was trying to handle it better than Shimazaki.

Shimazaki hadn't even cried yet. It seemed only anger fuelled him and the littlest things were made a big deal. But that's because he was trying to bottle up how he felt. He couldn't seem weak. And Bakugou wouldn't have wanted him to cry.

While he had lashed out at you a few times, mainly about bringing up Bakugou, he seemed the calmest around you. So a friend of his, Matsuda, practically begged you to try and talk some sense into him. You accepted and as your luck would have it, he asked if you could stay the night.

Shimazaki offered no explanation but he was close to you so you also accepted. Besides, you could try to talk to him then. Unfortunately, you didn't get far before he shut the conversation down about his father. Night came quickly as you two talked about other things.

It was late at night, probably about midnight and you were still up. You looked over at what you thought was a sleeping Shimazaki. Suddenly, you could of sworn you heard quiet sobbing. That's when you noticed Shimazaki's shoulders shaking and the poor male curl up a bit as if to comfort himself.
