Three

The next day Jimin woke up later than usual, at least half an hour later. Which in his terms was not good, he never liked to turn up late to his classes. So Jimin threw off his quilts and rushed to get dressed and freshen up at the same time. He could only hope his bag was full with the right subject textbooks because as he ran out the door, without even eating breakfast may I add, he simply swung it onto his back and left the house.

Jimin practically ran to school (or at least half of the way there). When he checked his phone at the entrance to the building, he was just on time; in another few minutes the bell would ring.

He jogged down the hallways until he found his classroom and kicked it open with his foot. When he stepped inside, more or less everyone was in there already and gathered around desks to talk to their friends. By Jimins seat was Taehyung and Jungkook. The younger was sat on the desk Taehyung was at as he gazed lovingly into the boy's eyes. Ew.

Jimin took a deep breath and calmed his facial expression before walking up to his chair and sitting down without a word. Taehyung and Jungkook perked up when they saw him and move closer.

"Good mornin'" Jungkook said with a smile.

"Morning" Jimin replied back without any tone to his voice.

"Jiminnie~ come on cheer up" Taehyung poked his arm and gave a hopeful smile.

"I'm not in the mood" he grumbled back.
Jimin bagan pulling out his textbooks and pencil case ready for his lessons. The bell rang a second later, making Taehyung and Jungkook return to their seats.

Jimin lifted his head and looked around until he found Yoongi's seat. The boy was sat with his head down on the desk. I guess we're both tired.
He then remembered his first lesson was Korean literature and that he always kept that book pretty much always in his draw underneath his desk. He pulled out the draw and saw his textbook... but just with another surprise on top.

"Wha-?" Jimin mumbled under his breath.

Jimin picked up what was laying on top of his textbook; a samgak kimbap.
He twirled It around in his hands to see if there was any note or evidence as to who left it there.

Did Taehyung put this here?

Ugh I bet he did this just to try and make up for what he's done. He knows I love these...

"He ain't tricking me" he said to himself as he shoved it back into the draw and put it to the very back. When he gets out of this classroom, he planned to put it straight in the bin. I just have to resist the urge to eat it..

---

Jimin sat with his head resting on his hands at his usual lunch table. Of course, Taehyung and Jungkook were with him, across from him, laughing and talking sweetly to each other. Jungkook found everything the boy said funny. Jimin was at that point where it was sort of sickening.

Occasionally Taehyung would ask "did you hear that Jimin?" And then follow it up with something about what Jungkook can do.

It's not interesting anymore... we all know he can do anything.

"Jimin" Jungkook called and the said boy turns his head every so slightly to face him. The youngest takes that as a signal to continue. "Taehyungie said you're really good at drawing"

"Oh.." Jimin straightened his posture a bit and licked his lips. "I mean... sure, I'm okay"

"I really like drawing too!" He said with a wide grin, leading to Jimin slumping back down on his hands again.

"Of course you do"

"What?"

Jimin laughed nervously "Oh nothing" he abruptly stood up and announced "im going to get food"

"Wait, we'll come—"

Before Taehyung could finish, Jimin walked off, hoping he wouldn't actually follow. Jimin joined the queue at the canteen and gripped on to his hair in temptation to pull it out at any moment.

Why is this happening to me?

"Stressed?"

Jimin jumped out of his skin hearing the deep voice right beside his ear. He nearly tripped over someone's foot and almost knocked over another's tray but luckily he was caught in someone's arms. That someone being Yoongi.

Yoongi pushed him up and back in his place in the queue without any other words.

Jimin knew a few people saw him make a small fool out of himself and mentally cursed both him and Yoongi. Is he like some ninja or something..

"Are you following me?" Jimin said with annoyance in his voice.

"No." Yoongi replied simply. "I'm here to get my lunch."

Jimin rolled his eyes and patted his arm down where Yoongi had grabbed hold of and stopped him from falling. He turned back around and moved forward in the queue.

When he reached the front to be served, Jimin gathered his food in his tray and left. He sort of wished he could of sat with Yoongi on his table just to avoid the two people on his but 1) Jimin didn't know Yoongi or his friends enough to even sit with them let alone make conversations with them and 2)he felt somewhat guilty that he was rejecting Taehyung so much.

Once he took his seat back at their lunch table, he watched Yoongi walk over to his not far away from his own. Yoongi smiled his way as he crossed the canteen.

"You guys wait here I'm going to get us something" Jungkook said as he got up and walked away.

Us? Jimin resisted the urge to say.

Taehyung smiled at Jungkook as he left, Causing Jimin to narrow his eyes at him.
A sudden feeling of jealousy gushed over him as Jimin thinks back on how Taehyung handles been acting around Jungkook lately, ever since he found out the youngest likes him. Something clicked inside his head and Jimin couldn't stop replaying the moments where Taehyung is quieter and much more shy around the boy, sending thoughts buzzing through his head. No. No. Nononono–he can't, he wouldn't... but...

He does...

Oh my god, he does!

"Ugh!" He blurted out. "You like him back don't you!"

Taehyungs head snapped towards him and his eyes had never been bigger. He shook his hands in front of Jimin's face repeating the word "No"

Jimin smacked his forehead with his own hands as it was so obviously bound to happen eventually— he just never expected so soon! You only neede to see how Taehyung looked at him and it's clear as day.

"Goddamnit Tae!"

"No, this isn't what you think!"

"What is it then?!"

"I.. I- it's just—it's nothing I promise"

"Tae I know when you're lying, you... y-you ass!" Jimin flew to his feet and stormed out the canteen, his jerker catching the side of his lunch tray, flipping it onto the floor. Students around them stopped and stared as the angry boy ran out.

Jimin ran straight to the classroom and sat in his seat just like yesterday. Jimin, being Jimin, began to cry once again and chucked himself forward onto his desk. He shoved his head in between his arms, feeling the puddle that soon filled up underneath his nose.

How could he?

After another five minutes of sobbing, the door slid open and in someone came. All Jimin hoped was that it wasn't Taehyung.

He stayed still and listened the best he could to who had walked in. Definitely not Taehyung— he doesn't walk like that. His ear was pressed against his arm so his hearing wasn't the best it could be but he knew for a fact it wasn't his best friend. For a sudden moment Jimin had the idea that it was Jungkook and sat up faster than he has even sat up in his life.

"Oh" was all Jimin said when he saw Yoongi standing above him. "It's you"

"Thanks" Yoongi replied and sat on the chair next to him.
"What's up buttercup"

"Everything" the younger groaned and lay back down onto his desk.

"You stormed out pretty wildly there"

"You saw? Oh god"

"Yeah, quite a lot of people saw actually"

"I'm such an idiot"

Yoongi laughed. "Maybe" when Jimin sent daggers with his eyes, the boy closed his mouth.

The room became silent apart from the small sniffles coming from the younger. Yoongi watched him, wondering what he could say next.

"Do you still have the tissues I gave you?"

"Um... yeah, yeah I do" Jimin shyly reached into his pocket and pulled out the pack.

"Dry your eyes with them. That's what they're for."

Jimin sat up and nodded. He took a tissue from the pack and looked the other way while he dabbed his eyes. Why does he have to watch me do everything?

"Better?" Yoongi asked when he turned back round.

"Yeah.." Jimin nodded. "Thanks"

"How come you like this guy so much anyway?"
Jimin frowned at his words and stared at him like he had asked the most stupidest question on earth. "Just wondering"

"Because he's... he's just perfect isn't he?" Says in a matter-of-fact kind of way. "He's hot damn attractive, he's pretty intelligent too—"

" I mean, he's not the best at maths though..." Yoongi interrupted

"Well, that's ok, everyone has flaws it's—"

"So then he's not perfect?"

"What? No, well I mean he is but—"
Before Yoongi could say anything else Jimin let out a deep sigh. "Ok ok whatever I get it."

"What about you?" Jimin questioned. He hates the fact Yoongi knew so much about him and his love life when Jimin knew nothing about him. Especially because Every time Yoongi saw him, they ended up talking about the Jungkook problem.
"Don't you like anyone? Anyone at all? Isn't there someone you find perfect?" Yoongi shrugged. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Yoongi!!" The door came flying open and three male students walked in. "Good news!"

Both Jimin and Yoongi looked to the door, it was the olders friends. The one who had spoke was leaping around, his light fluffy brown hair bouncing up and down as he did so— this guy was radiating energy like it was nothing. Jimin knew his name. It was Jung Hoseok, he was known for being this lively and he certainly lived up to these standards. Beside him was Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin. Jimin knew them too, of course, I mean how could you have not heard of the most smartest and handsome boy in school. Namjoons previously dyed blonde hair had now turned a grayish blonde due to his natural dark tone but somehow the guy pulled it off. Seokjin didn't need to dye his hair to look amazing. Seokjin was purely well known in this school for his looks, and Jimin really could see why. Then, obviously, there was Yoongi who was also apart of their group. You could sort of see why, all four of them were popular among students whereas Jimin, on the other hand, was on the side where most forgot about. Not that he minded.

"Oh hey" Namjoon waved to Jimin, who was surprised at this action.

"Hi" Jimin said shyly, attempting a small wave back however it wasn't really much. Yoongi chuckled at him.

"Yo Jimin, wassup" Hoseok grinned towards him. The younger almost panicked thinking of how to answer him but fortunately Hoseok moved on without a thought.
"Yoongi as I was saying- concert, tickets, us three, you in?"

Yoongi's face lit up at the words. "Hell yes"

Jimin watched him as he spoke. It was quite funny in a way. And cute. He thought. He can be pretty cute sometimes.

"Who's concert are you seeing?" Jimin asked out of interest.

"Kanye west!" Hoseok replied excitedly. "I can't wait"

"He's pretty cool" Jimin smiled

"Ummm, you mean more than cool!"

"It's gonna be awesome" Namjoon said.

Jimin laughed with the three of them but somehow missed Taehyung. He wished Taehyung was standing with him right now. Maybe I should go and find him and apologise??

Yoongis friends moved on to their seats and sat around together in the middle of the classroom while Yoongi himself stayed with Jimin.

Jimins smile slowly faded and soon turned into a frown when began thinking about how rude he was to his best friend. Why was he so weak? Why couldn't he be angry with his best friend for long?!

"Hey, I saw that" Yoongi interrupted his thoughts.

"You saw what?" He rolled his eyes.

"Your smile fell off."

"So..?"

"So pick it back up" Yoongi stood up and pushed his chair in. The bell was about to go any minute. "Frowning's not good. Do you want wrinkles?"

That's so stupid. Jimin thought... despite the fact he was laughing.

I don't know how many people have heard this news... probably all of you by now...

I'm sorry if you didn't want to hear this again, because I certainly know I wouldn't but I felt like it wouldn't be right if I didn't say it on here.

If there are any other shawols here that are reading this, I can't believe the news that was released today. I still feel emotionally distraught and heartbroken and actually surprised that I even managed to post today because it's been really hard after hearing about it... I don't know about anyone else but that's just how it's been for me. Apparently it was confirmed so it broke my heart even further to know that it was true and it wasn't just a fake rumour. SHINee was the first group I ever listened to when I got into this music so they will always stick in my mind as one of my favourites and most loved. I will forever love him. I hope that he knew that each and everyone of his fans, family, and members loved him and cherished the time they had together. Just at the age of 27 he made such a difference to everyone, he made people happy with his music and I'm sure that is what he hoped to achieve. I truly and most sincerely wish for the best for his family and friends, I can't imagine what it would feel like for them.

Rest in Peace
