Fifty Five

Jimin sat at his desk on Monday morning staring at the screen on his phone. Taehyung, Jungkook and Hoseok were squabbling next to him, ignoring the fact Jimin was quieter than usual.

He scrolled up and down his messages with Yoongi, well more like the messages with himself.

All weekend, Jimin had been texting Yoongi like usual, sending him cute good morning messages and asking him whether he ate lunch.
Yoongi never replies though, never even read them.

Jimin didn't know whether he was worried or annoyed.

Was Yoongi ignoring him on purpose?

Surely not.

Jimin frowned a bit before he put his phone away and silently listened to his friends conversations.

Taehyung had his arm around Jungkook while the younger held his hand. Hoseok punched Taehyungs arm for saying something silly and they all laughed. Jimin wasn't listening.

He was busy wondering whether he did something wrong over the weekend. Or maybe at the cinema? Did he say something bad?

Or was Jimin too annoying for Yoongi to talk to all the time?

Surely not.

"Hey guys"

The four of them looked towards the three other boys that greeted them. Namjoon, Seokjin and Yoongi joined the group and a new conversation was brought up. Yoongi walked around and stood behind Jimins chair, placing his hands on the youngers shoulders.

Leaning down, Yoongi whispered a small "Hey" close to the boy's ear.

"Hey" Jimin muttered back, not turning to acknowledge his boyfriend.

You're being petty, he thought to himself.

He'll say something.

Yoongi doesn't say anything else to him. The bell for first period rings and the seven boys spread out, sitting in their individual seats.

Jimin rested his chin in his palm as he stared into the back of Yoongis head.

Sadly, Jimin had a problem of overthinking. Sometimes he thinks of the worst possible situation. Jimin had been trying to fix his excessive worrying, and since he had been with Yoongi, it had improved. Yoongi was often good with reassuring him with his worries and the younger boy felt like he could trust him no matter what. Sometimes Jimin wondered if he relied on Yoongi too much.

Right now, he was finding it hard to control his over thinking.

But ever so often there's a voice in his head that reasons with him, reminding himself he's thinking too much too quickly.

He'll explain later.

There's a reason.

Remember what happened last time when you jumped to conclusions.

Oh yeah.

Jimin was more than glad when the teacher walked through the door, holding folders. There was finally something to distract him; maths. Maybe that would send him to sleep instead.

"Are you ok?"

The rehearsal inside Jimins head was quickly disrupted when Yoongi approached him in the lunch queue. He glanced over his shoulder before back to the food laid out behind the glass.

Lie or tell him the truth?

"Yeah, I'm ok" Jimin said half heartedly. It took him a moment to ask back. "You?"

He noticed Yoongis small pause before answering. "Yeah. You seem quiet though, are you sure you're ok?"

Jimin doesn't even get a chance to reply as they are interrupted by Taehyung jumping into the queue, in between them. The girl lining up behind Yoongi muttered something about pushing in but whether Taehyung hears it or not doesn't matter, the boy sniggered and said "you didn't see a thing. I've been here all along". Jimin just rolled his eyes.

After ordering his lunch, Jimin grabbed his tray and left, heading for the table his friends sat on. He felt Yoongi watch him as he did so.

He sat down next to Namjoon and began eating as he listening in to what they were talking about.

"I'm telling you, reading a book is just staring at a dead piece of wood and hallucinating"

Namjoon pinched the bridge of his nose while seokjin laughed and Jungkook stops eating. "Hoseok that's officially the stupidest thing you've ever said"

"Tell me I'm wrong though"

Taehyung puts his tray down in the space next to Jungkook, who is too busy having an internal debate with himself over Hoseoks words.

"Are wraps just cold pancakes?" Taehyung asked, turning everyone's attention to him.

"How the hell did you hear the conversation from over there?"

"What conversation?" Taehyung looked blankly towards Namjoon as he took his seat. "I was just thinking that as I walked over. Actually I've been thinking that all weekend. I need an answer."

While Namjoon lectures Taehyung on how the two are not the same (to which Tae does argue his case, but just not very well), Yoongi eventually joined and sat down next to Jimin with his lunch.

The couple eat quietly next to each other but somewhere along the way, Yoongi nudges the you get with his elbow.
"Jimin, can we talk for a moment?"

Jimin faced his boyfriend and tried to read his expression.
"Outside?" Yoongi added.

"Sure" he replied, though it didn't sound too enthusiastic.

The older out his cutlery down on the tray and stood up, despite not being finished. A little surprised that Yoongi meant straightaway, Jimin had to quickly swallow the last bite of his lunch before he put down his cutlery and followed Yoongi out the lunch hall, explaining to Taehyung where he was going on the way.
He lead him around the corner until they were stood in the hallway, out of the way from the sea of students.

"Is this about what I think it's about?" Yoongi asked as soon as he turned to meet eyes.

Jimin was a little confused. "What?"

"You're mad at me aren't you?"

"No.."

"Baby, you know you're a bad liar right? Especially when you pout like that" The older chuckled but Jimin just frowned. "Did you send me any messages over the weekend?"

Jimin hesitates, scraping his foot on the floor. "Just a few.."

Yoongi smiled softly. Jimin furrowed his eyebrows.

"But... you didn't answer..." he muttered.

"Yeah. I purposely ignored you for two days for absolutely no reason but to annoy you"

The younger shot him a narrow look, frowning even further. Yoongi just laughed before h ruffled the boy's hair, earning a glare from the blonde. "I'm kidding. You really think I'd do that? I'm shocked."

Wait. Huh?

Mouth opening and closing, Jimin isn't sure if he had missed something. "Then.. why..?"

"I didn't really want to have to explain this but... my parents took my phone off me. Pretty embarrassing. They say I'm an adult but then don't treat me like one."

Jimins face softens after realising how much he had 'overthought' the situation. So Yoongi wasn't annoyed with him or getting bored of him and the reason for the lack of messages was because his parents confiscated his phone. That senario is much better.

"Oh" Jimins averted his eyes somewhere else, embarrassed after he made a fool of himself for getting annoyed over nothing. "Why did they take your phone away?"

Yoongi exhaled deeply. "Weelllll" he drawled out, biting his lip slightly. "I may or may not have been grounded"

"Really? Why? Because of our date??" Jimin was shocked, he didn't think Yoongis parents were as strict as his.

"Hmm... maybe or maybe I was already grounded..."

"What?!"

"Yeah... the school called my parents up and told them about what I did to Sungwoon and about the detention so of course they got angry about that. They let me use my phone for most of the day until I sneaked out to meet you. When I came back they were waiting for me and lectured me about doing as I'm told." The older explained, mimicking the way his parents spoke to him on the last sentence. A chuckle escaped Jimins lips but his eyes dropped to his feet where he moved his weight onto once foot and fidgeted with the other.

So I wasn't the only one.

"I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want to worry you and... it's pretty embarrassing too. I think my parents are the only ones who still do that around here."

"Not quite" Jimin mumbled.

"Huh?"

The younger bites on his bottom lip. "I was kinda grounded too" he muttered shyly, with a hint of nervous laughter at the end.

After Jimin had explained the reason why he was grounded too, Yoongi couldn't stop laughing. He actually found it funny that despite being grounded both of them had tried to sneak out just to go on a cinema date. Though, he did  admit he was shocked that Jimins parents were as strict as that, as strict as his. He couldn't imagine them being so harsh on rules, Jimin and his family seem so loving and permissive.

They ended back in the lunch hall, despite there not being much of lunch time left, since they spent most of their time in the hallway. Their chat ended in a tight hug and Yoongi kissing Jimins nose after the younger said he was sorry for a million times.

They joined in with their friends conversation about the right way to eat cereal. However they did regret it.

BONUS

Over the weekend, Taehyung spent the majority of his time with Jungkook.

As soon as School on Friday had ended, the younger had invited him round to play games. Taehyung, of course, couldn't say no to that.

While Jungkooks parents still weren't home, they had fun playing on computer games and watching anime on Jungkooks laptop.  It was only when the two were lying closely together on the boy's bed re-watching naruto shippuden on his laptop that Jungkook suggested something.

"Do you want to stay the night?"

Believe it or not, the two boys hadn't slept over at each other's house before. Even if Taehyung secretly wanted to snuggle up to Jungkook every night he's never mentioned it.

Taehyung said yes. Jungkooks parents didn't mind.

He ended up having to borrow some of Jungkooks shirts and a pair of shorts, which he had utterly no problem with— in fact Taehyung never wanted to take them off. Not only does his boyfriend have the comfiest shirts ever, but it smelt just like Jungkook. It felt like his very own protective layer, a layer of Jungkook. Maybe I can steal this when he's not looking.

Taehyung rejoined Jungkook back on the bed with his fresh set of his boyfriends clothes. The younger closed the laptop and put it down on the floor before laying down next to Taehyung, both their heads facing each other on the pillow. They were both tired but neither of them were planning on sleeping so soon.

"You know if you were born again, would you still date me?" Taehyung asked (like always, speaking his thoughts).

"Hmm, depends"

Jungkook watched as Taehyung knitted his brows. "depends on what?"

"Whether you'd also say yes again"

With a light blush forming, Taehyung couldn't help the smile that tugged on his lips. "I would"

"then yes, no matter how many times I'm born again, no matter where I end up, I'll always come back to find you"

"Sweet talker" Taehyung muttered jokingly, despite feeling the fluttering in his chest. "What if I'm reincarnated as a fish, what would you do then?"

Jungkook hummed as though he was thinking hard about this. "Well, if we truly are fated to be together then I will be a fish too. Then I'll swim and find you, and protect you from the big fish"

"Who says I'll be a small fish? What if I'm a shark?"

"Hm, i don't know, I can see you as a small fish. Sharks are too big and scary. You're too cute and squishy"

"I can be scary!"

"I doubt that"

"I can!"

"Whatever you say"

Taehyung frowned before an idea popped into his head. He pushed Jungkook back and climbed onto the younger until he was on top, pinning the boy down and staring into his wide round eyes.

"W-woah" was all Jungkook said. Taehyungs soft adorable gaze had disappeared, now replaced with a sharp, stern look. His eyes had turned somewhat darker, Jungkook swallowed.

Taehyungs eyes travelled down until they landed on the younger boy's lips, which were slightly parted and just asking to be kissed. He didn't waste a moment into pressing his own against them, moving into a kiss that was somewhat more lustful. Jungkook was shocked, unable to process quickly what was happening. But as soon as Taehyung began pressing deeper into the kiss he couldn't resist letting go.

The younger grabbed onto Taehyung's (well his) shirt and pulled him closer. One hand snaked up to Taehyungs neck and he runs his fingers through the back of the boy's soft hair.

But then Taehyung suddenly pulls away, leaving Jungkook dazed and confused.
The older now has a proud grin on his face as he sits back below Jungkooks hips.

"How was that?" He asked smugly.

Jungkook let a laugh escape from his lips. "Was that you trying to be scary? That wasn't really scary, that was just hot"

Taehyungs cheeks flushed a deep red. "Well I can do it again if you like?" He muttered lowly under his breath, just loud enough for Jungkook to hear.

"Yes, please" Jungkook reaches out and grabbed the boy's shirt again, pulling him back down into a kiss.

"Aren't your parents home?" Taehyung asked, pulling away briefly to only continue leaving kissing along Jungkooks jawline.

"Yeah but they won't disturb us"
