"Team, gather in the mission room," Robin's voice comes through the cave's speakers.

The twins immediately teleport to his side. BB comes in next in cheetah form, turning to normal once there. Batman is on one of the pulled up screens.

"What's up?" Beast Boy asks.

"I'll announce everything once the others arrive," Batman sighs from the computer screen, obviously annoyed at something.

Greta teleports into the room. Wally skids to a stop from running. Slowly all the others show up.

"So, what is it you needed me to call everyone for?" Robin asks.

"You're gaining two new team members," Batman sighs. "Captain Marvel shared his powers with his two best friends and now they have powers exactly like him. The only reason they are joining you is because they are still children when they call upon their powers, unlike Captain Marvel. The two will be there soon without Captain Marvel as he is out on a mission."

"Yes!" Spook cheers. "Initiation time!"

"I've been raring to go!" Greta swells, punching her palm.

"They're already in the system, Robin," Batman says. "Don't go overboard."

The three ghosts salute before Batman's face disappears off the screen.

"Recognized: Lieutenant Marvel, B17. Sergeant Marvel, B18."

The three ghosts become invisible before the two materialize and fly up above everyone. Out from the zeta-tubes is a boy and a girl. Both dressed in their suits. The girl is wearing a feminine form of Captain Marvel's suit and the boy is wearing a blue version of CM's suit.

"Wow, you guys are the famous team we've heard so much about!" the girl squeaks. "Hi, I'm Mary Bromfield!"

"I'm Freddy Freeman," the boy says. "I'm Lieutenant Marvel."

"I'm Sergeant Marvel," Mary says.

"Wally aka Kid Flash."

"Robin."

"Aqualad, but my real name is Kaldur'ahm though my friends call me Kaldur. I'm the leader of this team."

"Artemis."

"Zatanna."

"Raquel aka Rocket."

"Conner or Superboy. This is my pet, Wolf."

"Miss Martian. My real name is M'gann M'orzz, but my human name is Megan Morse."

"Beast Boy or BB. Real name's Garfield."

Spook nudges the two other ghosts, telling them she's going to make her appearance. She floats down to just above the team's heads but still behind them. She makes herself visible for a few seconds as she moves behind them then disappears.

"Whoa! D-did you see that?!" Mary shrieks, hiding behind Freddy.

"See what?" BB asks.

"T-there was a girl with white h-hair that just flew behind you guys above your heads..." Freddy stutters.

"Really?" Conner asks. "I didn't hear anything."

"Supey here should know, he has super hearing. Being Supes son and all," Wally says.

"But we both saw the girl!" Mary claims.

"Then you're both delusional?" Artemis suggests with a not really sorry hand gesture.

Phantom decides it's his turn to make an appearance and floats along the floor behind the team.

"Turn around!" Mary shouts. "There's another one! A b-boy this time!"

Phantom disappears into the wall before the team turns around.

"He disappeared into a wall!" Freddy claims.

"Uh, huh..." Robin scoffs. "Well, anyway in a few weeks, we will test you. Basically it's an initiation ritual to see if you'll fit in with this team."

"We give a week to prepare," Wally continues.

"In order to be on this team, you have to spar against one of the original members," Kaldur says.

"Which is Robin, Wally, Kaldur, Artemis, M'gann, or me," Conner says.

"We let you choose who you want to go up against," Artemis says.

"Then we'll decide if you belong on the team or not," Megan finishes.

"And if we d-don't?" Mary asks.

"Then the league will figure out what to do with you," Artemis answers, causing them to shiver.

"So, how about we show them the cave," Zatanna perks up.

"Yeah, follow us," BB smiles. "Zatanna, Conner, M'gann, and I all live here."

"You live in a place with g-ghosts?" Mary asks. "No thanks..."

"We've never seen any ghosts," BB says. "Have you, big sis?"

"Not one," Megan answers.

"Well, anyway," Zatanna says. "This is the mission room. This is where we practice sparring and get missions from Batman."

"Come on, this way! Let's show you the living room!" BB cheers, rushing down the hallway.

The rest of the team follow behind, leaving the two newbies to be caboose. Enough space is put between them and Greta takes her chance. Moving down to phase through the floor. Mary and Freddy let out large squeals and fall backward. The ghosts give silent cackles as they huddle back together above everyone.

"Freddy? Mary?" Megan calls out. "Are you two okay?"

"We just saw another ghost!" they shout.

Spook moves up to Garfield to whisper in his ear about the rest of the plan. He nods silently. Greta teleports to the boiler room.

"Are you two trying to scare us?" BB asks. "Because it's kind of working."

"You should be ashamed if you're doing a prank on us," Megan fakingly scolds. "Garfield is only 8 years old."

"W-we promise we're not kidding!" the two shout, puffing their cheeks out in annoyance.

Phantom and Spook appear behind the team, looking straight at Mary and Freddy.

"Mary..." Spook hauntingly calls out.

"Freddy..." Phantom creepily moans.

The two squeak. "Did you guys hear that?"

"Hear what?" Wally asks.

"How could you not hear them just call out our names?" Freddy shouts, pointing to the twins. "They're standing right there!"

Everyone turns and the twins disappear.

"We swear we aren't making this up!" Mary yells, watching them get strange looks on their faces.

"You two must of gotten hit in the head really hard or somethin'," Raquel huffs, crossing her arms. "I don't like someone trying to scare me. Especially, not some punk little kids either."

Suddenly all the lights go off, causing not just the two newbies but also Garfield, Wally, Megan, and Raquel to shriek.

The twins illuminate the hallway with their purple glow, making everyone able to see them. Most fake their shouts and screams, and some actually do so for real.

"W-w-w-we told you!" Freddy shouts.

"I'm outta here!" Mary squeals, turning tail. "I'm going home!"

"Play with us, Mary, Freddy," the twins grin, reaching out to them.

The two scream and they rush back to the mission room. Robin and Wally begin to laugh. A smile graces everyone else's lips.

"Darn, this is as far as we got last time..." Spook complains. "I want to scare a little more."

"Wish granted," Robin says, chasing after the two.

Everyone else follows along.

"Mary! Freddy!" Wally shouts. "We need to stick together!"

They all catch up to the two.

"Where d-did the ghosts go?" Mary shakes, crouching down to the floor with her hands above her head.

"We chased them off for now," Robin says. "We can't leave unless the zeta-tubes are up and running."

"There has to be another exit for when they shut down," Freddy claims.

"We have one that opens underwater, but the electricity has to be on for that," Robin says, pulling up a blueprint of the cave. "We only have one exit, but that's at the very top of the mountain."

"So we have no choice but to turn the electricity back on," Kaldur says. "The main generator is at the very base of the mountain."

"Two floors down," Artemis says.

"We need to stick together," Kaldur says. "We do not know the capabilities of these so called ghosts."

"Communications are down. I can't call the league," Robin huffs, turning his holowatch off and instead uses it as a flashlight.

"Tel ereht eb thgil!" Zatanna chants and a ball of light forms to lead the path.

"Good work, Zatanna," Kaldur comments. "Lead the way, Robin."

They all begin to venture down the hallway to get to the staircase. Phantom grabs Raquel, and she screams, making everyone turn to her direction to find her gone.

"Raquel!" Zatanna shouts.

"We must hurry," Kaldur commands. "In order to save our friends."

"No, get away!" Wally shouts, 'fighting' off Spook.

She teleports him away in a wisp.

"Wally!" Robin shouts. "Dang it!"

They begin to run. Greta appears in front of the group and Robin throws an exploding birdarang, only for Greta to put up a force field. She manages to grab Megan and disappears.

"M'gann!" BB wimpers.

"What's happening to them?!" Freddy shouts.

"I don't know, but we need to hurry. The darkness seems to make them stronger," Robin shouts, ushering everyone along.

"Etaerc a ecrof dleif dnuora su!" Zatanna shouts, an invisible field surrounds them.

They make it to the next floor down. Spook appears, causing everyone to stop. She smirks, blasting away the force field, grabbing Zatanna, and teleports away.

"No, Zatanna!" Robin yells as they become shrouded in darkness once more.

Phantom and Greta appear before the next staircase. Kaldur takes out his water bearers as Robin takes out a few birdarangs.

"You three go ahead, we shall take on these two," Kaldur commands.

BB shifts into a tiger to use nightvision. Wolf walks along side him. The marvel kids drift their hands along their backs for guidance as they find themselves in the boiler room. Upon entry they see each team member surrounded by a purple force field, each hitting it or using their powers to try to get out. All fail miserably.

"Guys!" BB shouts.

"Watch out!" Robin yells.

The four immediately split and a beam of energy hits where they were standing. The three ghosts hover in the air, menacing looks adorned on their faces. Wolf gets covered by a force field.

"Stop!" BB shouts. "Why are you doing this?!"

"This does not involve you," Phantom hauntingly says.

"It does if you're hurting my friends!" BB shouts, turning into a gorilla and jumping straight to Phantom only to phase through him.

Spook puts an invisible force field over BB, so he won't get hurt, and the three begin blasting at him. He turns into a cheetah darting away from each blast.

"Hey!" the two shout, gaining the ghosts attention. "Leave him alone!"

"And what can you do?" Spook scoffs.

"Three against one isn't really nice!" Freddy shouts.

"Strength of Hercules!" Mary shouts, pummeling through Spook and successfully knocking her to the ground.

Spook blasts her off as Freddy takes on Phantom. Spook creepily smirks, knocking down the girl beside Freddy. The lights turn back on, much to the confusion of Freddy and Mary.

"Congratulations," Spook speaks, crossing her arms and hovering to the ground.

The two marvels look up at the ghosts confused as the other members walk up beside the ghosts. They look around at them in shock.

"W-what's going on?" Freddy asks.

"You passed initiation," Phantom says. "Good job."

"Wait, what?!" Mary shouts.

"Nice to meet you," Greta says. "I'm Greta residential ghost aka Secret. These two are my mentors."

"We're only half ghost," Spook says, transforming to her human appearance along with her brother. "The other half is demigod. My name is Spook on missions. My real name is Vanessa. This is my twin brother."

"I'm Phantom but call me Raimundo out of missions."

"We're the last three members of the team," Vanessa says. "It's nice to meet you Mary and Freddy."

"WHAT?!" the two shout.

"Welcome to the team," Kaldur says.

"You people are crazy!" Freddy huffs, falling to his knees.

"You decided to protect us instead of running away when we needed you most," Kaldur says.

"That makes you apart of this team," Robin says. "Though you have a long way to go."

"Recognized: Batman, 02. Captain Marvel, 15."

The ghosts smirk, each grabbing a person, teleporting them all to the mission room at once.

"Aah!" Captain Marvel shouts upon their entrance, quickly acting like he wasn't scared.

"I see initiation is over?" Batman questions.

"Yes, they passed," Kaldur confirms.

"Great job!" Marvel hugs them both.

"Billy!" they both huff.

The team begins to laugh as the two new members pout in embarrassment.
