In green hills .. everyone went to fight Robotnik , shadow fights with his chaos powers , amy with her piko piko hammer , knuckles with his knowledge of punching , and tails his with a machine fighter that he created 

But .. Sonic .. He isn't even able to protect him self .. if eggman knew where there base is..All of the team "freedom Heroes" are fighting eggman will all the strength but eggman found the base's location by some of his morobug robots that he sent before he went to destroy and start fighting ...

The base's alarm system went crazy of sensing about that there's a near threat is coming .. sonic tried to shut it down but it's too late because eggman's giant robot came to destroy the base and along with Sonic... 

Sonic is trying to press anything that could attack the giant robot but unfortunately ... they don't affect the robot ... so it grabbed the base's roof and tried to grab sonic from above .. eggman then had a chat with sonic by a microphone he put in the giant robot's chest ...

Eggman: Well well well ... who do we have here

Sonic: Let go of me egghead!!! *trying to escape from the giant robots hand*

Eggman: oh ho ho ho ho~ no no no my dear arch nemesis enemy ... you're not going anywhere 

Sonic: UGHHH LET GO OF ME YOU'RE HURTING ME!!! *coughing*

Eggman ohhh~ Well if that's hurting you then ... why don't we have some fun and try to HURT you more HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!

The freedom heroes noticed that eggman's robots are escaping like he don't want them to attack anymore ... but it actually was .. eggman wanted his robots to come to him where he's with sonic trying to beat him up ... And the gang were helping who where in green hills and got attacked ...

No one was noticing that sonic is under attack ... and unable to reach them and tell them to come .. "only" one person who noticed ... that person after he knew about that eggman was distracting them to reach to the base and attack sonic he felt ... rage ... Revenge .. and Wants to attack eggman SO BAD ...

That person we talk quickly to the base ... leaving his gang to help who was hurt and attacked ... When that person came to the base ... he saw that the base is half of it is destroyed ... and Sonic wasn't inside ... But then he knew that eggman went to his "base" and alongside taking sonic with him ... That person went by using "chaos control" and then he found eggman in front of him surrounded by a lot of robots to protect him and using a robot control to control the giant robot and "squeezing" Sonic until he say "I give up and you won" 

That person came during eggman is having his fun with sonic and saying:

LEAVE MY BROTHER ALONE NOW!!!!
