I turn.

"Lan Zhan?" I ask.

"Your wounds are still fresh, try not to move." He says.

I let out a breath.

"Are...we...still friends?" I turn to him.

He looks at me.

"My... memories are still a little blurry." I say.

He takes my hand.

"More than that." He nods.

"... I'll have to figure out what that means later." I say.

"You should eat something." He says.

He places down a bowl of soup. I wince as I try to sit up.

"...You told me not to move!" I yelp.

"I know." He helps me up.

"You're..." I start.

He takes it up. It was a clear broth. He puts it too my mouth.

"Drink." He orders.

I nod and I start sipping it down.

"Go slow." He says.

I nod. 

"Awww.... love is a beautiful thing." A voice says.

I jump. Lan Zhan turns. I see this woman with nothing on her beside the bed.

"This is adorable." She leans in.

"What are you doing here?" Lan Zhan asks.

"I tried to stop her." A voice says.

I turn my eyes.

"Nuwa." I say.

"Apprentice." Nuwa nods. 

Lan Zhan glares again.

"Hey, you should thank me. I saved his life." Meng Lu says.

"Yeah right. I did all the work." Nuwa says.

"But I helped a little." Meng Lu points out.

I nod.

"...what exactly happened?" I wince.

I feel blood coming down my mouth again. Lan Zhan wipes it.

"You both are in love." Meng Lu chuckles.

Lan Zhan throws a fan at her. She shoots back. 

"Fine! I know where I'm not wanted!" Meng Lu calls.

"Rest now little wolf." Numa turns and walk out the room.

"Is this...?" I ask.

"Cloud Recess." Lan Zhan says.

"...." I try to speak.

"Don't think too hard on it, my friend." Lan Zhan smiles.
