"Well, look whose bleeding." Gremory takes my arm.
"What are you doing here Gremory??" Mephisto takes up his staff.
"A little bird told me what was going on. I came to offer my services for the right price." She looks at me.
"Why is eating my heart so important to you?" I ask Gremory.
"Because I want to see how it tastes!" Gremory yells in excitement.
"You are hopeless." I sigh.
"I'm a devoted blood sucking demon." Gremory hisses.
"Right..." I roll my eyes.
"Just let me taste the blood." Gremory licks her lips.
"Hang on!" Mephisto picks up a broom.
"What? Ow!" Gremory yelps.
Mephisto starts chasing her with a broom. I let out a breath. I run my fingers over. The one I killed. The nail. Hold on, I think I've seen it before. I pull out an ancient book by Plato. I run through the pages. There. The ancient black nail. The one where the serpents tie and evil lies. A demon who speaks in rhyme till the end of time. The words pool into my head.
"Ow! Ow! Ow!" Gremory cries.
"Be gone demon! Be gone!" Mephisto yells.
"Will you two be quiet?" I ask looking up.
They halt to a stop.
"Thank you." I look back at my book.
A demon old as time who speaks in rhyme. Wings like a raven, black as the abyss of Hell. What does it mean? The answer is right in front of me, I know it. I move my hand down the codex. Closely related to... to... I snap my fingers.
"Found it." I say.
"Huh? Found what?" Mephisto and Gremory both say.
"Mephisto look into the Minster's home and motives." I say.
"Hold on, where are you going?" Mephisto asks.
"I'm going to summon the Black Angel." I say.
"Huh? Wait!" Mephisto calls.
