Author's POV

December 1st back in the 90's..

The sky was grey and the cold temperature gave off a melancholic atmosphere. The clouds seemed gloomy. The town a star-crossed girl lived in was silent yet peaceful. It was the definition of harmony.

Young, yet her simple beauty can already be foreseen. She wore cute dresses and a plain white headband, it matched her smooth white skin. Her hair was long, wavy and black. Just like her hair, her eyelashes were long as well. Fitting for her huge hazel eyes that seemed to sparkle. With cherry pink soft lips, she seemed just like a doll.

In a mansion with only a few trusted servants, the girl lived happily along with her parents. She grew up to be a beautiful maiden..

Back to the current timeline..

"Ryuu! Ria! You guys are running late. Where have you been?" Junko, one of Alleria's friends, called out to Alleria and Hakuryuu.

Junko's hair was long, straight and black. Her bangs were sided. She seemed to have a matured face and body despite being highschool students.

"Sup, Uryuu?" Tsuki, another one of their friends greeted. His hair is blond and his eyes are blue. His full name is Takumi Tsukiyomi and he likes takoyakis, his sister is named Tsubaki Tsukiyomi. They are a family of T's and it's ridiculous.

"Hey, it's Haku and Ria." A girl named Azusa said. Her bangs cover her whole forehead and her hair is always tied up in twin tails.

"Ah, Hakuryuu-san, Alleria-san. You're here at last." Nakahara, the dark brown haired girl with glasses greeted them. She seems to be the most serious among the group.

"Seriously. Yuu. Ryuu. Uryuu. How many nicknames do I have?" Hakuryuu said with a smug face.

"Don't complain!" Junko giggled.

"Anyway, a little accident happened. But we're not that late, are we, Takumi?" Hakuryuu smirked.

"Yep!" Tsukiyomi nodded with a smile.

While Alleria is simply out of herself, Nakahara stares at her and so does Junko. "Are you okay?" Azusa poked Alleria. Junko steps forward and touches Alleria's forehead, "You don't seem fine. Maybe we should drop by the clinic first before we go to class." Junko said and Alleria only looked at her in the eye. Junko winks at her and drags her without permission from the others, leaving them out.

Alone in the clinic with Junko

"Looks like no one's here yet." Junko says. "Say, Ria. You put Ryuu in trouble again, didn't you?" Junko asked with a cheeky smile.

Hitting the bull's eye, Alleria couldn't respond.

"It's okay. Ryuu's crazy enough to sacrifice himself for you.." Junko whispered under her breath, it was too low for Alleria to hear. Her serious expression quickly reverted to the one she normally shows, a casual smiling face. "I've been thinking about it.. but so far, even though nothing bad happened to you directly, the bad things that happened to others affects you so much, doesn't it?" Junko asks Alleria.

Alleria's POV

Junko.. she's been like a sister figure to us. She's so straight forward sometimes, that it seemed cruel. Her words are razor sharp, they cut me like a blade. She's been conscious of my "unlucky charm" and she has also suffered from it. Yet, Junko did not turn her back from me. It's just that.. sometimes.. I know, it's pissing her off when others get in trouble because of me.

Hakuryuu.. or Yuu-chin, always fought in fist-fights because of me. Others have begun to bully me and he stood up for me. Every time I am with Takumi-kun he also gets into a lot of bad things. We were just sitting together, but the ball from the baseball team flew towards him and knocked him unconscious. Dogs always barked at and chased him while they ignored. He was robbed while we were walking the streets but I was safe because I was ahead of him. Azusa-chan fell down the stairs while we were going up. The bookshelf in the library collapsed and she got buried with the books while I was not hit by the shelf. Nakahara hurt herself a couple of times during cooking class because I was there. She also got poisoned but she was cured right away. When I met Takumi's sister, she caught a fever afterwards and it didn't go away after a week.

Junko.. Junko is our senior. She sprained her ankle during PE because I was watching her. She got harrassed by men because I was with her. She got framed the next day while I came out clean, she spent a day in jail because of that incident. I don't want to dare to know what else she struggled because of me.

While these thoughts run inside my head, I heard a voice interrupt me but it was not Junko's voice and it felt like I was the only one who heard it.

It said, "Fool"

Me..? Yes, I am a fool.
I am an unlucky charm.
