✰ Make the reader's wonder about something!

Eg. I was terrified to go to school that day.
Eg. I wish i never went into the room where it happened..

✰ Start with a problem or conflict.  

Eg. Just as i turned the corner, my bus pulled away leaving me behind.

✰ Introduce the setting.

Eg. It was a lazy summer afternoon under the shade tree in my neighbour's yard.

✰ Introduce the main character.!

Eg. Milton was the meanest kid in school.

(all pretty basic i know, but ahem!!)

Things you could look at for better understanding and ideas would be;

[CHARACTER AND BACKGROUND INTRODUCTIONS]

✰ Nicole's introduction in the game CLASS OF '09! it set her as a character, her life, etc. etc.

✰ Izuku Midoriya (and most other anime characters) have the story background set up.

✰ Kusuo Saiki set up who he was and such.

✰ All the characters + Narrirator from Komi can't communicate.
