What is going on? My heart was pounding. This is some form of torture I just know it. Hell's tricks never seem to end. I see Karou, Sano, Megumi, and Yahiko jump out of the fog. Is this really true? My eyes widen. 

"Kenshin! Finally!" Sano yells.

"What happened? Those scars..." Megumi yells.

"Kenshin!" Yahiko yells.

"We... you're alright. You're here." Karou smiles.

I turn.

"Kenshin? What's wrong?" Karou asks.

"Hell is very good at illusions." I say.

"Isn't it? It tortures you the most, these... these illusions." He waves his hand.

"Illusions?! Why you calling illusions you pointy bastard?!" Sano yells.

"See? Illusions and deceptions." He pokes my head.

"I know. Hell is forever." I keep walking.

"Kenshin! Stop." I feel something grab my hand.

I jump. I see Karou holding my hand. I look at her with wide eyes.

"Do not be fooled Battosai, these are the nasty tricks of Hell. I shouldn't have to remind you of these tricks. We are near the sixth gate." Tshuyu says.

"Kenshin, it's us, please believe me." Karou says.

"Yeah Kenshin! We're here to get you out of here!" Sano yells.

I feel Tshuyu grab me. He throws me back. I slam into the ground. 

"Kenshin!" Karou yells.

"Leave him alone you pointy eared bastard!" Sano charges.

Tshuyu raises his staff. I feel lightning shoot down on me. I let out a scream of pain. I feel swarms of a thousand bees' course through my veins. I fall to the ground harder and feel it chaining me.

"Kenshin! Stop it!" Karou yells at Tshuyu.

He lowers his staff. I feel the lightning burn out. I see smoke covering my arms and rising. I let out a cough. My lungs feel like they've been grilled on an open fire. I let out a breath as I stand up. I brush myself off.

"Feel better Battosai?" Tshuyu asks.

"Yes. Despite the pain I feel the illusions voices have diminished." I say.

He raises his head up. For the first time I see his eyes glow golden yellow. I feel a type of energy pour down my veins. One that's soothing and sinister at the same time. I feel like the voices have stopped. At long last, there's silence.
