"I need five minutes to get ready."
"Soo, we are getting late, just come already," her mother yelled as the girl put on the final touches of the light lipstick she was wearing. She was aware that her suitcase was already taken and thus slinging the bag over her shoulders she made her way towards the door.
"I thought you hired makeup artists to do your makeup," her dad said sarcastically due to the long time she spent after changing her clothes and Jisoo narrowed her eyes at her father's attempts. Truth was, a new episode of her show was released and she got stuck watching it.
She couldn't finish it anyway, she had to wait till they got to the airport where she could sit and watch it peacefully. Getting up in the rental car, she checked once again if she had brought everything.
The drive to the airport was surrounded by silence sometimes and sometimes her mom and dad chatted on various topics. She didn't take much interest in their conversation but looked out the window at the sunny sky.
She loved this kind of weather, the sunny day that comes just after a rainy day and the weather is not too hot or cold but just a soothing temperature. A cool breeze blows making everything nicer than it already is and the best part is your mind becomes naturally happy.
Getting down to the airport Jisoo got down to bring a luggage cart and suddenly was tapped by someone on the shoulder. Turning around she was met by Hana who faked her annoyance saying "Did you forget who I am?"
"What? No!" Jisoo laughed before hugging her saying, "Ah unnie, I missed you." "I missed you too," she replied before looking up and down at Jisoo.
"Are you done checking me out?" she asked quirking an eyebrow and Hana replied, "Hey, I am allowed to appreciate people looking good."
They both laughed about some other matters and got inside the airport to wait for the third family to arrive. "Wait, I just realised you will be meeting Jin for the first time after his confession," Hana said wiggling her eyebrows at Jisoo who just brushed it off.
"He said it is a joke, let it go already," she whined at the older who shook her head not believing a single word of it. "Hey, our MVP has arrived," Jisoo heard her father laugh and looking behind she saw the family of three walking in.
Jin walked over to the two of them before giving a lopsided grin saying, "Hi." "Hi, little bro," Hana said patting his shoulders as Jisoo casually waved her hand at him.
Jin awkwardly waved back as Hana watched these two amused at their behaviour but decided to let it go, It is a seven-day tour officially, and she has plenty of time to tease the lovebirds.
"The golden trio is officially complete," Hana cheered as the other two groaned realising that they had to deal with an over-hyped Hana for the tour.
Getting up on the aeroplane Hana and Jisoo sat together while Jin sat with his father in the front. Behind them were their dads and parallel to them were their moms sitting.
After losing a round of rock-papers-scissors Jisoo sat in the aisle seat as Hana got the window seat.
The plane journey was again very uneventful as Hana slept through most of it and Jisoo spent it watching the show on Netflix she had borrowed from her brother without her parents knowing.
After the flight landed in Jeju they checked into their hotel and spent some time in their own rooms. Jisoo laid around in her bed texting Jennie who had already started teasing her.
"First snow equals first love," Jisoo read slowly Jennie's last message as she rolled her eyes at the phone screen. They had gone to the hilly parts of Jeju, which is a volcanic island. It would probably snow in a few days since today was December 22.
Time passed slowly when people wanted it to go fast and that was the same case for Jisoo. After scrolling through her phone for a few minutes before she got scolded about being glued to her phone always and now she was lying down and staring at the ceiling blankly.
But some things were bugging her mind. She noticed Jin was giving more attention to Hana from the beginning of the tour, which was obviously a few hours back. She would lie if she said that she didn't feel a little jealous. She knew it was a stupid reason but her heart couldn't make any sense out of that.
She hated how she would always get cut off by Jin asking for Hana's opinion on everything and she hated she felt like it. Hana was a great person, so why did she have a tinge of pain in her heart every time Jin would listen to Hana more?
She decided to leave it because otherwise she would start overthinking again and that was the last thing she wanted because it would ruin the Christmas merriment.
Jisoo went out to the room balcony and stood silently inhaling the cold weather.
She liked cold but never really loved it because she gets cold very fast. Pulling her hat down to properly cover her ears she rubbed her hands which were gloved.
She looked around at the mountains in the view with their snowed caps. The blue sky, the green trees and the brown mountains with white tops made it look the most ethereal and the sunlight just added to the beauty.
She smiled softly thinking of various things she had read in love stories. She imagined how it would be if she would be standing with her lover here with two cups of warm coffee when she had grown up.
They would back hug and just stare, no words passed in between enjoying every little moment. But somewhere in the back of her mind, she knew who she was thinking of, Jin!
That boy who never left her mind, she was aware teenage love doesn't last, but what if the universe made it different for her? She wished it would.
Well, I am sorry for these late updates, it is because I don't have much time and I am managing my Instagram writing account as well as this. So sorry!
