The rain slowly dripped through the car's window glass making small patterns decoratively on the glass, the dark sky with grey clouds contrasted and fascinated the teen Chaeyoung. She had always loved rainy days more than sunny ones, she feels that rain can express more emotion than the sun.
She got down from the car, as they reached the familiar building, in a white shirt and black skirt with a yellow coat, and entered the premises. Rainy days usually have fewer students and fewer teachers which results in lots of free periods and fun.

Chaeyoung happily skipped her steps as she went to sit beside her regular bench-mate Chan Mi, the class topper but she was no less. "Hey Chan, how you doing?" Chaeng asked as Chan Mi high-fived her and put a thumbs up. "I heard that the teacher will fix our seats and also since the system of school has changed we will be sitting with fixed people.

"What?" Chae snapped and Chan Mi rolled her eyes, their class teacher had the reputation for being chill and all but if anyone breaks her formation or rules you are done for. Chaeng pursed her lips, already due to school rules, she and Lisa were in different sections, since their classes were a lot different. According to school rules students studying the same subjects would be in one particular section and teachers will come to teach whoever is assigned but students don't have to change the classroom, just take a book from your locker or carry them at once.

Dasom, Year, Sora, and Aeri entered flashing each other's smiles they say, Sora and Yera in front of them and Dasom and Aeri on the bench parallel to them. The usual boys' group entered, Byung Ho along with Hwang Do first followed by Dae Jung, Jeong Ho, and Seong Jin. All except Jeong Guk and Dong Hyun. "He won't come today! And Dong Hyun is transferred to another section, the one in which Lisa is." Hwang Do said as he sat down.

"Good Morning class" Eun Tak, their class teacher entered, "and as you know we have changed our school policy and thus I will be fixing seats today."

"What are we, second graders?" Aeri muttered to which Eun Tak answered, "No I am pretty sure you all are in ninth grade but as you can see you all too need some discipline." Aeri bowed her head down. The girls and boys chuckled as she pouted.

"Okay, so Aeri beside Dae Jung." Miss Eun Tak started and slowly the rest of the class got arranged and even this small group except Jeon Guk. Yera beside Hwang Do, Dasom beside Byung Ho, Sora beside Jeong Ho. Finally, Chan Mi, Seong Jin, Yugyeom, and Chaeyoung were left.

"Seong Jin sit alone, Jeon Guk beside Chaeyoung, oh he is absent, fine Yugyeom can sit beside her, oh okay then Chan Mi sit alone Gguk can sit beside you later, tomorrow." Miss Eun Tak stated as Dasom pursed her lips at Chaeyoung's facial expression when Yugyeom sat beside her and started his stupid personality.

"Okay, please stop talking and let me concentrate please, oh my god," Chaeyoung whispered smacking her head. Just to think that the whole year would be spent sitting beside him itself is tiring. Chaeyoung rolled her eyes- this is going to be one heck of a year. She loved Yugyeom as a friend but he brings serious consequences to people due to his weird nature.

28th

"What the fu-, I mean what just happened to the class?" Gguk asked the next day. "Oh nothing much, just if you were paying attention you would know that we have fixed seats for the rest of the year." Byung Ho smirked. "Huh, look who's talking?" Aeri snickered. "Oh, so I heard I am sitting beside Chaeyoung." Gguk grinned when Chan Mi said, "No you were absent yesterday so Yugyeom is sitting beside her you are beside me."

"You know I find her really annoying, smart as hell but always working for herself and taking advantage of others," Lisa whispered to Chae as she softly hit her believing Chan is nothing like that. "Okay", Gguk placed his bag and went to his usual 'boy group'. "Just saying, I don't know, not too close to her, I just don't like her." Lisa pouted. "Do you not like her or are you just protective of me?" Chae chuckled. "You know what, get lost!" Lisa rolled her eyes and left. Chae chuckled at her best friend as she left for her section. Although 9A and 9B were in classrooms opposite to each other still everyone has to return to their respective classrooms by the warning bell.

Their class teacher Eun Tak entered and everyone stood up to greet her and after the daily prayer, she took their attendance. The periods went on fluently the teachers coming and going and in a way, the new way was better, all you had to do is take out the required book and copy and sit till the teacher comes- no extra work of going to various classes and worrying about your seatmates. Chaeyoung got used to Yugyeom's stupid blabbering and weird hand movements while he would talk. It didn't go unnoticed by her the light flirtatious voice Chan Mi would use while talking to Gguk, but she didn't care- her life was her choice anyway.

"Hey, Chae want to play a prank?" Jeon smirked as Chaeyoung nodded her head in affirmation slightly grinning at the thought. "Chewing gum under Yugyeom?" Chaeyoung asked as they evilly high-fived and Gguk took out the brown-coloured chewing gum sticking it on the wooden chair beside Chae's. 

Yugyeom dramatically entered the class the students shaking their heads and sighing- they would all know his stupidity and without even checking the seat he sat down. Chae and Gguk did their usual handshake as they fulfilled the mission of sticking gum under Yugyeom. 

"Yah, Yugyeom and Jeongguk get your butts here, we got to talk about tomorrow's game plan. As soon as Yugyeom got up he sat back stumbling realizing he was stuck. "Yah" he screamed as Chae and Jeon laughed their asses off at his condition while the others joined in. Let's say the day was pretty long.

I tried to change the school system to mine as much as possible, so it would be easier to understand, and yes people I played that prank on my friend, if only you had seen his face that time lol. Also, I recently rewatched Goblin and thus Eun Tak was the name that came first to my mind, I cry every time I watch it.
