The sun rose high up in the sky, and that resulted in the day being colder than others. A cool breeze also blew adding to the chilly weather. Chan Mi clutched her blazer as she headed towards her class through the corridor.

She entered and sat beside Chaeyoung, well Chaeyoung's bag. Chan Mi had to do it today, she had to break up with Yugyeom. Not to get Jeongguk, well for another reason.

Yugyeom was obsessed with her, in a creepy way. Like he could install cameras to stalk her in kind of away. He would throw fits and become insecure and destructive if Chan Mi didn't call him before she went to sleep.

One day she texted that she was sick, she was suffering from fever and thus she couldn't call him. The next day Jeongguk texted her and told her to call Yugyeom and tell him that she was sick. Yugyeom thought she was cheating.

And that day, which was a week before, Chan Mi made her decision. She had to break up, she just can't have such a toxic relationship that too at such a fragile age.

But the worst part was, she learned Jeongguk didn't like Chaeyoung back. And she knew Chaeyoung liked him very much. So, Chan Mi has to find a way now to make Chaeyoung hate Jeongguk.

So that it wouldn't hurt Chaeyoung. Over time, Chan Mi had understood that what she was doing is wrong. And Dasom and Aeri understood too. They weren't those typical school bitches, they were just some confused teenagers.

Chan Mi inhaled sharply when she saw Yugyeom come in with Jeongguk. Yugyeom was not the type of boyfriend who will give her flowers daily but he was the possessive kind, a scary one.

Being possessive is very scary if you do not have control over it. Because possessiveness was a monster that makes you insecure and dangerous at the same time. So you need to have control over that trait.

But Yugyeom didn't, he had zero control over it, and to him, it was just concern for Chan Mi. That is exactly what possessiveness does, it turns you into a monster only in others' eyes.

Chaeyoung entered just after them saying bye to Lisa and Chan Mi breathed out a sigh of relief. Right now, if someone was there while she broke up it would be best.

Chaeyoung grinned looking at Chan Mi as she grinned back. She then inhaled and turned towards Yugyeom and called him. "Yeah?" Yugyeom asked as he hovered over Chan Mi.

"I want to break up," the five words rolled out of Chan Mi's tongue too easily as she closed her eyes waiting for the impact. Yes, she was afraid of the comeback Yugyeom would have.

Yugyeom's fingers balled into a fist and for a moment Chae was scared if he would hit her. But Yugyeom gritted out an "okay, I get it" and stormed out of the class.

Jeongguk stole a last glance at Chan Mi and ran after his friend to calm him down as Chan Mi stood there shaking.

"Chan, take deep breaths," Chae whispered as she embraced the girl and tried to calm her down. Chan Mi was shaking badly as tears trickled out of her eyes.

She was scared of Yugyeom, she now realised and she was scared of this relationship, she was even scared of ending it. She clutched Chae like her like depended on her.

Chaeyoung caressed the girl's back slowly trying to make her calm at any cost. She knew it must have hurt Chan Mi, it hurts anyone to break up.

After a few seconds, Chan Mi's breathing turned from ragged to normal as she successfully calmed herself and sat down on her seat. She had a whole day of school ahead.

Make Chaeyoung hate Jeongguk, the four words ringing in her head like an annoying alarm and for a moment she thought whether she should shut it off, or let it ring or listen to it.

But Chaeyoung always helped her, Chae was her friend, her partner-in-crime. And Chan Mi would kill anyone who would try to hurt that girl. She loved Chae so much, like a little sister.

Over the months she had changed so much, they both have. Chan Mi didn't have a crush on Jeongguk anymore, she didn't feel jealous anymore. And she also didn't want Chae to get hurt, as usual.

Chaeyoung on the other hand, transformed. She became so obsessed with making Jeongguk like her, she changed herself. So much she lost everything just in a nick of time.

Although a small part of Chae's mind told her that she would just get hurt if she continued to run behind Jeongguk. But she liked Jeongguk so much, why would she give up on him, she would always think.

She also knew Jeongguk likes Chan Mi, but a small part of her hoped if she turned like Chan Mi, he would like her back. He would be her boyfriend, probably.

Chaeyoung's head was in splits right now, she had her studies too, which were deteriorating every day. Her mother scolded her for it and she detected something was wrong.

Chaeyoung had lessened her eating, she daydreams a lot, and her mother maybe was aware, even for a bit that something was wrong with her daughter.

Chae's sister has gone back to Australia to complete her higher studies and that has resulted in her mom giving Chae her full attention and knowing something is wrong.

Both Chan Mi's and Chae's thoughts were cut off as the bell rang indicating the beginning of school. Well, they were in for a pretty long day of studies and teenage feelings probably.

"Chaeyoung, Jeongguk doesn't deserve you, please you deserve better," Chan Mi said trying to convince the girl to not go behind Jeongguk anymore.

But Chae thought that maybe Chan Mi likes him and thus she is saying this stuff. She misinterpreted her words and that led to Chae telling her smiling painfully, "Let's see."

Is it becoming too complicated? It has approx. 30,000 words rn. Do you think it is becoming boring? And stupid and not making any sense? Although there will be 15 more chaps, this is just chap 25.

Also, Yugyeom's behaviour will be explained in the future chapter. And don't attack me by saying he can't do this like it is fanfic for god's sake.
