SOPA Picnic

The day had finally come their school picnic day. All the students were quite hyped and were running towards the school campus. They were extremely excited about their first high-school picnic.

"Park Chaeyoung and Lalisa Manoban if you two-run, I will kill you," Jisoo warned as both of them smiled lightly towards their unnie as they walked towards his school.

"Bye unnie," they chorused as they entered the school campus. Lisa went towards her class as Chae went towards her and saw some students already there. She saw Chan Mi sitting with Dasom and Aeri with Hana and Yera sitting alone.

By this time Lisa was pretty much over Jeong Ho and had accepted Hana as his girlfriend, they were even friends. So, Chae also didn't have much anger over them anymore.

"Hey Yera," Chae greeted as Yera grinned at her. They chatted for a while before the teacher came in and asked them to make a proper line.

Chae slung her duffel bag over her shoulder as she made her way towards the line.

They stood there for a while before their class was told to board the bus.

"Back seat, let's go," Yera whispered as Chae hurried towards it. Soon they were all seated as the teacher took an attendance check.

The bus started as they sat quietly in their seats. Yera asked Chaeyoung, "Chae, do you like Jeongguk that much?" "I do, I like him that much," Chaeyoung confirmed as Yera sighed. Yera was older than Chae and by some means, she was of course, more mature.

And her maturity and conscience told her that she needed to stop Chaeyoung from falling. Because right now Chaeyoung was on the edge of the cliff and was dangling from it. If Yera doesn't stop her she will get hurt, severely.

"Please leave the topic for today Yera, I beg you," Chae said as Yera nodded understandingly. They were sitting silently until one of the students asked the teacher to turn on the music.

As soon as the music was turned on, people started getting up from their seats and dancing inside the bus. Needless to say, other people outside the bus were staring at them.

After much noise and laughter and the teacher having two possible mental breakdowns, they reached a beautiful spot for a picnic.

They all got down from the bus and ran inside like six-year-olds even though they were double that age. Chan Mi, Aeri, Dasom, Yera and Chaeyoung found a spot to keep their bags in as they started to look around the place.

"Hey, want to play UNO?" Yera asked and they all eagerly nodded. Lisa caught up with them along with a few other of their friends.

After a few moments, Chae started laughing like mad side-eyeing Yera as she stared at her. "I swear to god if you gave a plus-four and colour change card, I am going to unfriend you."

"No, you won't," Chaeyoung laughed as she put the exact cards out giving a colour change and plus four at once.

"You bitch," Yera screamed and ran behind a laughing Chaeyoung as she ran ahead.

They came back as Yera was grasping a laughing Chaeyoung and Yera said, "Honestly, fuck you." "You can't honey," Chae smirked and Yera just rolled her eyes at her dirty friend.

After some time they were given lunch which was ramyeon and Kimchi Jeon. Well, that was very tasty.

The day came to an end as they boarded the bus to get back to school and be escorted by their guardians or go home themselves after showing an escort letter.

After getting seated in the bus Jeong Ho said, "Jeongguk didn't come," to Chaeyoung and she replied curtly, "Yeah I noticed that Ho."

"Well, aren't you curious why he didn't come?" Hwang Do smirked as Chae looked down towards the bus floor. The last thing she wanted to do today was answering those shit questions.

"No, I am not," Chaeyoung lied through her gritted teeth as Yera looked at her. Half of Yera wanted to punch Jeong Ho and Hwang Do in their faces and half of her wanted to hear what they were saying to listen to them so that she could know their plan.

"Well, of course, he didn't come because he feared you might marry him," Hwang Do laughed out loud along with Byung Ho. Jeong Ho however kept quiet.

Chaeyoung ignored Hwang Do and looked out the window and let the cool January breeze hit her face as she stared out.

Yera suddenly asked her, "Are you going to propose to him?" and Chaeyoung shook her head to a no. she never had the courage to propose to anyone at all.

"No, I don't have the courage," she sighed and Yera nodded understandingly before becoming silent again.

"Hey Chae, do you want me to tell Jeongguk about your feelings?" Jeong Ho asked and Chae rapidly nodded her head. It was not that she didn't trust the boy, she did. He wasn't necessarily a bad person, just a victim of teenage feelings. Also, they had been friends for so long now.

But still, she refused. She didn't want others to dabble with her feelings.

So she said no.

But then she thought she could confirm something. She could confirm if Jeongguk has a crush on her or not. She could be sure of his feelings, she would be sure if her feelings were reciprocated.

Then she could propose. Maybe. She didn't know that yet.

She turned to Yera and whispered, "Should I ask him to ask Jeon if he likes me or not?" Yera became confused, partly she thought it was a bad idea and part of her thought it was alright.

"I don't know, do what you feel right," Yera stuttered out as Chae nodded equally confused. She didn't know what to do, her mind was in splits right now.

Finally, she made up her mind and turned towards Jeong Ho and said, "Hey, can you ask Jeongguk if he likes me back?" "I- I can," Jeong Ho stuttered feeling sad for the girl knowing what was about to come.

For those who forgot, Lisa used to like Jeong Ho but Jeong Ho said he liked Lisa too, and Chae had to bring them together. But then Jeong Ho suddenly started dating Hana.

God, I miss school picnics so much. Also, I felt like writing about Yera because I miss AG taekrokosmos_ like Tae misses Jimin.
