Deep Within K' Mind

K POV

Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I felt the familiar embrace of being alone as I quickly realized I was essentially asleep. I was used to this.

Freedom. I felt relief as I made my way through the woods that surrounded me. The moonlight shined beautifully between the small cracks of the trees. I walked for a few minutes when I heard someone fall into step with me. "あなたは全く読めないようですね、K。 私がいるからですか？" (You seem completely unreadable, K. Is it because of my presence ?)

This was a complicated question masked with innocence from Enmei. He seemed very intrigued by me being as calm as I was. I assume he's dealt with the others by now as well. "Why ? Should I be more anxious ?", my response was harsh & truthful. Did I have to feel any type of way because he decided to walk with me ?

Once I finally looked at who was beside me I was confused. It was a wolfblood. It's normally yellow eyes taking on a light lavender shade & the smile slightly made me uneasy. However, it still was a stranger to me no less. "No need to be rude. I am not going to harm you, K. I won't harm any of you."

Harm ? Why could this mysterious person easily tell that I had some doubt about their intentions right away ? "What do you want ? I refuse to play any of your mind games." The smirk & the laughter that followed mimicked an old tale my father used tell me as a pup. It talked of the Heavens & the inner politics of gods & why are what they are.

"確かにあなたは思ったより頑固ですね。 しかし、あなたは私のルールに従うことを望まないので、運命を避けることはできません。" (You certainly are more stubborn than I expected. However you can't avoid your fate because you don't wish to play by my rules.) This was true. Fate had plans for the nine wolfbloods, as they need to fulfill their prophecy. There was a bigger picture at play. A game where they unknowingly were mere pawns to the Heavens.

"Prophecy ? What are you saying ?" I stopped in my tracks as we barely made it out of the clearing. I knew this was my mind, but I even feared that I was confusing myself. That none of this conversation is real. This is when I got another smile as the person next to me looked up at the moon.

I wasn't interested in whoever it was. So I never asked for a name or a reason. I was more worried I was clearly driving myself crazy. This is when I heard a simple whisper. It was quiet, but confident. Like there was some unspoken belief in me.

"Wake up, K..."
