Cʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 1 : A Sᴀᴄʀᴇᴅ Aᴘᴘʟᴇ ᴀɴᴅ Tʜᴇ Cʀᴏᴄᴏᴅɪʟᴇ-sᴋɪɴ Bᴀɢ

Ash's POV

I'm walking to where my mom and dad live. I was focused on my pocket, speaking with the girls in the team who said that (Y/n) tried seduced someone.

It always made me laugh, because the truth is that she never managed to seduce anyone.

While I was concentrating, voices started shouting in the street, chasing a little boy with blue hair.

He must surely be a child of the Khun family who was born under Edahn's reign. Most of the mothers were expelled from the kingdom because the new head of the family didn't want wives. But that was only a rumour.

As a result, most of the small children are now manipulated by their mothers.

The little boy rushes towards me to hide behind me, clinging to my black vest and I hug him to hold him against me, feeling him tensing up but relaxing after a while.

The guy who was chasing him stops in front of me and starts shouting at me as if I was the one in fault.

"Who the hell are you too ?! Give me that kid, he stole my apples !"

I blink and look at the little boy in bad shape with apples in his bag.

"I'm going to pay you mister wait...—
- I DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT YOUR MONEY ! I WANT MY APPLES AND THAT BOY'S HEAD ON A STICK !"

The little quiver of fear and I squeeze it closer to me, electricity running through my body and gathering around me.

"You will not touch a single hair of his head.
- Stop right there, both of you."

A

dark-haired man approaches, wearing a black shirt with red and white stripes on the side, with faded jeans. His hair is tied up in a short ponytail.

"Let this lady and child go, I'll pay for the apples."

He smiles, but the merchant seems suddenly frightened. The aura of the brown-haired guy is very powerful, it's true. It keeps me from moving myself...

The merchant ends up running away and screaming, terrified.

I look at the man, a little intimidated.

"Thank you for helping us... I should have attacked him if you hadn't come. But why did he run away like that ?
- Hm ? You don't know who I am...? Well, that's good ! Hum... Could you help me too ? To tell the truth... I'm lost."

The dark-haired boy has a big innocent smile on his face, laughing nervously as he admits he's lost. Personally, I can tell that this smile is pretty cute, and I don't feel intimidating anymore.

"I'd like to help you, but as for that little boy...
- From the look of his hair, he's a Khun. My friend is one too, he can help him. Since he must have stolen, he must be alone or manipulated... It's best for him if he doesn't go back to where he came from."

I nod my head and I explain to the boy that I was going to see my family and he smiles at me again, with a big smile shining on his face. He's very handsome when he smiles like that.

"You're Asensio's daughter, Ash Khun ?! I never thought I'd run into you... You're popular in the Khun family, you know ? Well, I'm the 25th Bam !
- It's look familiar... Wait a minute... Bam... BamtheIrregular,BamwhodefeatedJahadandbecamekingfouryearsago ?!"

He laughs and taps my head.

"That's it ! Nice to meet you, Ash !
- But— CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN ME WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING—"

(Y/n)'s POV

I'm with the boy called Khun who's hiding with a black cape, walking in the streets.

"Why are you hiding ? Do people want you dead or something like that ?
- They might.
- Huh ?! But I was just kidding...!"

The man laughs and gives me a look, I can easily see his blue eyes under the shadow of his cape.

"So you're a regular (L/n) ? Your ears remind me of someone... Who was always doing bad things behind my back."

I swallow and laugh nervously. Shit, he had to know someone from the same species than me ! That's not going to make it any easier...

"Oh, really ? There are a few tasteless regulars of our species, excuse them.
- Regular ? She used to be, but she's a ranker now.
- Wha-"

There aren't a lot of ranker in our family, so I guess he's talking about...

"Xiaxia ?
- That's it, you know her ?
-... No, I don't !"

I have a huge innocent smile on my face. I'll don't let him know she's one of the best people I know from the rabbit ears species ! He looks at me suspiciously and grabs me by the ears and lifts me off the floor.

"You're not a good liar, (L/n). It's been a long time since I didn't caught a rabbit like that.
- M-my ears !"

I'm struggling and he drops me to the ground on my ass without warning. I rub my lower back, sniffing sadly. He has no softness !

He's looking up, and when I follow his eyes, I see a yellow lighthouse and an observer. It can only be the two of them. I grind my teeth and behind me I hear a voice calling out to me.

"I'll take all your food ! I have enough to pay for it, so serve it all to me, you little shop turtle !"

Didn't he say he had enough to pay for everything ? I turn around and see a cute little crocodile.

New prey in sight. I'm going to empty his pockets of his money and use him to make me a crocodile skin bag !!

"Sir, are you looking for good food stands around here ? I recommend you the blue jelly stand !
- Blue ? No way ! That reminds me of that stupid blue turtle !!"

What's wrong with that crocodile ?! Is he racist of the blue color ? As he said the words "blue turtle", I saw Khun shiver.

"Oh no, not that stupid gator..."

He just whispered it, but I could hear him easily and I looked at my two prey, or should I say my "future bank".

"Do you two know each other ?"

I ask innocently and the crocodile looks at Khun who looks back at him.

"Stupid blue turtle, you're here ! We were supposed to find black turtle, why are you hanging around with that little rabbit turtle ?!
- He's already giving me a headache..."

Maybe it was a bad idea to ask them that...

Kat's POV

"My lighthouse has been hacked !
- My observer exploded into a million pieces..."

But how ? I rub my eyes and look again at the message on my lighthouse.

"Keep spying on me and your friends and you'll be frozen."

The message must be for me and Tal as well. I was gonna ask Blue for help, just some advice, but... She's already asleep again.

Can she stop sleeping two minutes without eating ? Just when we need her genius mind, she's asleep. She'll see tonight, she can say to her pillow goodbye !

"Kat, do you think that's the guy that (Y/n) is trying to seduce is the one who did this ? We were spying on them from a long distance above them, so he'd get that from a distance like that ? He's much too strong, (Y/n) is in danger !
- You're right. Let's move quickly to where that stupid rabbit is !"

We're both running away and forgot one thing : Our sleeping partner.

rd person POV

(Y/n) always walks with Khun at her side in the streets of the big city from the 102nd floor. Khun still has his cape on his head and the rabbit girl has put one on too, carrying a bag on her back that looks heavy and moves around.

"I didn't think you'd agree to let me turn your friend into a bag !
- As long as he can't talk, I'm fine with it. — Said Khun cheerfully, at the thought of no longer having to hear the crocodile
- You'll pay for this, you stupid turtles ! You want to make a bag with my skin, you're a cheating turtles, both of you !!"

Khun sighed, grabbing the bag on the girl's back and lifting her off the floor with it as if it's normal. He shakes the bag and (Y/n) at the same time, she says nothing, for once it's not her ears that are caught.

"Shut up, Gator. If you don't shut up, I'll make dinner with you...
- You would ?! You'll make and eat dinner with me ? I knew you were a good turtle ! Save me from this rabbit turtle !
-... And you will be the main course food !"

Rak takes his head out of the bag and looks at Khun, who looks back at him with a sublime innocent smile. Rak locks himself in the bag without saying anything, terrified of ending up cooked in a pot, while whispering, "Save me from this crazy turtles..."

And like it's magic, at Rak's prayers, come the two lightbearers from the Chicken Curry team.

"You, blue-haired one ! Drop that bag and put our friend down right now without hurting her ! — Tal shouts, pointing at the boy with the cape
- If you touch her, we'll treat it as an attack and retaliate !"

Khun blinks and removes the hood from his cape with his free hand and put (Y/n) on the floor slowly.

"Oh, he's fucking handsome. —Chokes Kat when she sees Khun take off his cape
- KAT, DON'T BE FOOLED BY HIS BEAUTY !"

The rabbit-eared girl facepalms, sighs and turns towards Khun.

"Sorry, they're from my team.
- Are they always like that ?
- Always, unfortunately."

Khun taps (Y/n)'s head as a compassionate sign and she imitates fake tears to give it a dramatic touch.

"I'm submissive in this team, having to be always with them all the time ! — The rabbit girl expresses herself in a dramatic tone
- Don't overdo it either, you're the one who steals money from us every day. — Kat's giving her an accusing look
- OH SAVING TURTLES ! SAVE ME FROM THESE TWO CRAZY CHEATING TURTLES ! THEY WANT TO MAKE A BAG WITH ME !"

At Rak's voice, the two lighthouse bearers look towards the bag on (Y/n)'s back and a crocodile leaps out in only two seconds and runs as fast as he can, towards Tal to hide behind her.

"He's escaped, Khun ! We had to take him to your brother's house to turn him into a bag, we've got to catch him !!
- If that'll make it easier for me to don't hear his voice anymore, I'll help you !"

Khun unveiled 3 blue lighthouses that were hidden and (Y/n) revealed her weapon inventory of several weapons, but two of her weapons caught Khun's eye directly with its power.

"These weapons..."

(Y/n) grabs the blue needle with a powerful aura and points it at her friends, with no intention of actually hurting them.

"Give us back the bag on legs !
- I'm not a bag, I'm the leader of this blue turtle, Rak Wraithraiser !!
- (Y/n) scares me by using the Blue August against us ! Throw the crocodile at him, Kat !
- Roger ! It's been a long time since I've done shot put !"

Kat grabs Rak like he's a shot put ball and she takes a run-up before throwing him long-range in the air. They can hear him screaming too.

"WHAT DID YOU DO, KAT ?! MY CROCODILE-SKIN BAG !"

(Y/n) is fidgeting like a child and Khun grabs her wrist holding the blue needle and pulls her closer to him.

"The 13-month weapons were returned to their owner after the door to the other floors was opened. Blue August belonged to Garam Jahad... Why do you own it ? And I also saw a weapon of the same type in your inventory that's never been granted to a princess... The unassigned weapons were given to the last Jahad princesses who were elected before the former king's departure."

(Y/n) chuckles because of the closeness between them and she looks him in the eye shyly so he can know she's not lying to him.

"She gave it to me. We went on the Hell Express and to the floor of death and we met her... We had a fight together and she gave it to me because she felt it'd obey me. About the other weapon... It's a coil inventory... And it was Kat who received it because she is one of the last princesses of Jahad... But she never managed to use it.
- You're not lying ... I believe you. But, a coil inventory with the same aura as a 13-months weapons...?"

He drops her wrist and steps back slightly, allowing the girl to put the needle away. She didn't answer to him and there was an silence between the four of them. A scream from a house breaks the silence after a while and the alligator called Rak comes out. He must have landed in it after Kat's throw.

"Let's grab him and run away !"

(Y/n) catches the animal and runs away with Khun. The two lighthouse bearers run after them, shouting for them to stop.

"Follow me (L/n) ! We're going to my brother's house !"

He guides the rabbit girl to a huge house and rushes in with her, holding Rak.

"Asensio ! We need your help !"

Meanwhile, Blue finally wakes up and looks around her.

"Tal ? Kat ? They abandoned me..."
