The next day after her morning classes, Iv sat down under a tree out at the school plaza, taking out her phone.

"Yo, Iv!" She looked up at the sound of her name; a fall pale girl with short black hair walking over, the purple streak in her hair sticking out as usual.

She gave a wave. "Hey Lola."

Her friend sat beside her with a smile. "Hi doll, what are you still doing here?"

"Waiting for Nate, he's gonna give me something."

Lola placed her bag down, and after a few minutes of silence, she spoke. "So, you never finished Bar Boy's story yesterday."

"Bar Boy?" Iv asked with a snicker. "You mean Noah?"

"I knew his name started with an N!" She snapped her fingers at the memory.

Iv rolled her eyes with a smile. "Actually, I saw him again last night."

Lola gasped. "You took him home again?! Girl!"

"No, he was actually sober this time. And even if I did, nothing would've happened anyways"

"Whatever you say, doll~"

Iv ignored Lola's playful wink, taking out her journal. Ever since she was a kid, she had always loved to draw. Her dad says all the girls from her mother's side did; her grandmother, mother, and even her little sister.

"So what's he like?"

Iv thought about Lola's question, it was surprisingly difficult to answer. "Well, he's 22, really into music, and video games."

"Ooh, a hot geek~!" Lola poked her friend's shoulder, who rolled her eyes at the gesture.

"He also has a girlfriend, so whatever you're thinking is a no." Iv them let out a sigh, her expression falling. "Besides, I'm not sure I'm ready to date again yet.."

"I know you're still hurt about Chase, but how will you know that you're ready if you don't try..?!"

Lola was right in a way, she couldn't just wait around for 'the right time'. But right now just wasn't it.

Her ex-boyfriend Chase West and her had been together for over a year, only for Iv to find out he had been sleeping with another girl.

He wasn't her first relationship, but it's been her longest one; the thought of being used can bring down anyone.

She tightened her grip on her notebook at the thought, she regretted ever being with him and felt sorry for anyone else who fell into his trap.

"Sooooo... is he cute?" Lols turned to her with a small smirk.

Iv let out a sigh. "I already told you he has a girlfriend."

"That doesn't answer my question~!"

She thought for a while, remembering the green-eyed boy from yesterday. "Yeah, he was pretty cute."

"Ooooh~!!"

"He has a girlfriend, you keep forgetting the 'Girlfriend' part!"

"Snatch a girl's man!!" Lola yelled in confidence, raising her arms in victory.

Iv only laughed at her friend's words. "You're insane, L."

Maybe I am, bitch, what'ya gonna do 'bout it!" She gave a stubborn look, her cheeks puffed before they both laughed.

Even if she had known him long enough to like him, he was already with someone else. She already knew the pain of being cheated on, and the last thing she wanted was to pass that pain to someone else.

Entering her apartment, she threw her bag beside the door as it closed behind her, letting herself fall onto the bed.

Iv looked at her phone as it rang, seeing the familiar caller ID.

She growled at the name, even after he's the one who cheated he still tries to win her back!

'Remind me to change the name..' she thought to herself.

Immediately sending it to voicemail, she threw her phone to the other side of the couch with a sigh; was it too much to ask for him to leave her alone..?
