Today, the Raven's are going to the beach because we won the challenge yesterday. I put on a floral swimsuit with a see through cover-up. I grab my surfboard and go to the beach with the others.

When we arrive at the beach Hayley and I help put sunscreen on each other. I look at Leo to see him rubbing sunscreen on a giggling Aspen.

"I don't know how you put up with Aspen so well."

"I decided that it isn't her fault Leo cheated on her and I shouldn't try to hurt her", I say as I begin to scrub my surfboard before I go surf.

"I wish I had your patience", Hayley begins to tan as I decide to wait for the waves to get larger and take off my sunglasses and cover-up so I can go to the shallow waters and do some yoga. I notice Aspen get mad because Leo is staring at me but, she can't do anything because I am not making him, therefore, I have still kept up my part if the deal.

I begin to balance myself on one leg putting the other in the air when I notice Aspen's pink toes, "Ann, so, um about yesterday, I wanted to thank you for setting my head on straight."

"Everything's cool, Aspen", I tell her trying to stay calm.

"I just lose it sometimes, when I get competitive. My mother says it's because I'm a natural born winner, and I have trouble accepting that others are not like me."

"That must be it", I tell her with sarcasm coating my voice.

"I mean, if I were you, I'd be upset, as well. All of sudden, out of nowhere, someone like me shows up at the Greenhouse, all confident and", Aspen stops when she sees Leo walking towards us as I just roll my eyes and change my stretching trying to move with the waves, " Look! There's Leo. Lee-Lee, I'm coming!"

I walk back to everyone else and eat a burger. I finish it and check my louie to see a text from Sophie giving me the dance routine for cheer before Jackie takes it out my hand, "We are playing frisbee and I want you on my team."

I laugh at her and go to play. We all begin to throw the frisbee around and have fun. We all cheer when Max joins us as well before Hayley throws the frisbee to Ben who hands it to Max. Max struggles to throw the frisbee so Becca takes it from him and throws it to Leo. Aspen jumps in Leo's arms and kisses him as we all begin to play again ignoring them.

At that moment I realized that Leo has a 6-pack. I try not to look but fail as I begin to stare at his abs before I realize the game is going on and Hayley threw the frisbee at me. I catch it just as Leo comes to block me. I try to move away from him giggling, "You look ridiculous"

"You gonna talk or you gonna throw?", Leo continues to block me.

"You tell me", I flirt trying to distract Leo knowing Aspen can't hear.

Leo is frozen as I throw the frisbee to Jackie. Leo collects himself before saying, "Good job, Angel!"

"Thanks", I walk away from Leo noticing Aspen giving him a dirty look. We continue to play running around for the frisbee, Jackie grabs the frisbee and throws it to Max. He helps us to score and we all cheer him on.

Leo pats him on the back as Max throws the frisbee so we can play again, Leo catches it and I begin to block Aspen who was open. Leo tries to throw the frisbee to Aspen and I am about to catch it before Aspen pushes me harshly towards the ground as I hear her cheer that her team won.

"Oh my god, Angel are you okay?", Ben ran up to me and began to check if I was hurt.

"I'm okay", I tell him brushing the sand off myself.

Aspen bends down to her knees next to me, "Hayley, are you all right? Sorry, didn't even know my own strength."

Leo gives her an angry look as Aspen looks hurt, "What? It's not like I did it on purpose!"

Everyone glares at her as Leo takes her hand and pulls her away before looking at Aspen, "Okay, guys. Game's over. You won. We need to talk."

Leo's Point of View

I can not believe Aspen would do this. Hurting Angel is the line and I will not put up with this. That doesn't even matter what matter is this whole day I have wanted to be with Angel and I know now I will fight for her. I can't be with Aspen any longer.

Aspen begins to make excuses, "She is deceivingly fast. I miscalculated. I didn't mean to knock her down."

I get angry, "That is not the point."

Aspen looks confused, "What? What's the point, then?"

I look down not knowing how to hurt Aspen since she was my first love, "I just wish you had talked to me before getting on that plane."

"Why? Okay. I admit it. I didn't want to talk to you because I was afraid you'd tell me not to come. I was afraid I'd lose you."

I roll my eyes at Aspen's dramatics and begin to break up with her., "There's something I have to tell you, Aspen."

Aspen interrupts me, "I know what you're going to say and I know what happened between you and Ann before the dance. But it's perfectly okay. We were in an LDR...I was far away. But I'm here now -"

I interrupt Aspen not able to wait any longer to tell her, "I'm in love with Angel."

"...And that's fine, too! People fall in love. But here's the thing. What you and I have is special. It's for life. You had a crush because you were lonely and you missed us. I understand it completely. But you and I both know what we have here is much stronger than any affair that you may or may not have had with Ann. And even if it wasn't I mean why would she ever forgive you for what you did? You would never be able to date a girl like her. I know deep down you know I'm right."

I look at the waves realizing that Aspen is right although Angel is forgiving and sweet, I broke her heart and her trust. She would not want to be with me after that and I do not deserve a girl like her after all that. Aspen is all I have...

Aspen breaks my thoughts, "Oh, gosh. It is hot. I'm going to go for a swim, all right?"

Angel's Point of View

I grab my board after the frisbee game and go into the blue ocean to surf. I begin to do tricks in the water as I notice all the Raven's cheering me on.

I continue to surf as the wave folds into a tube leaving me invisible to everyone else. I push through knowing I can make it before I wipe out.

I do and begin to tread the water back to the shore on my board before a huge earthquake occurs throwing me off my board and into the water. I begin to try and float but, the earthquake is so strong I am struggling to keep my head above the water.

I see Aspen and begin to yell for help, "Help! Aspen! Help! Aspen! Help! Help! Help!"

I begin to choke on the water and am growing tired realizing that Aspen is not helping me. I hear somebody call for my name and before I slip into the blue abyss I have trusted for as long as I can remember.

I begin to see my mother, her wavy red hair and blue eyes. She swims to me before I feel two arms grab me from behind. I close my eyes as they lift me from the water.

I open my eyes when I feel the Earth stop shaking and notice Leo looking down at me. I move up causing Leo to back away. I look around and realize that I am on the sand and that the earthquake is over.

I look at Leo, "What happened?"

Leo looks like he had been crying, "You were about to drown when I jumped in and got you. Aspen brought us a rope and helped pull you back to shore. We had to perform CPR, Angel you weren't responding. We-..we...uh thought you weren't going to make it. Are you okay?"

I nod at him, get up and grab my stuff before walking with the Raven's to the Greenhouse as Jackie and Hayley gives me a hug. We walk in the foyer and I see my dad and Jason. As I look at them I realize how real the last ten minutes were as I run into Jason's arms and silently cry as he wraps his arms around me. Knowing that my dad needs to talk to the Ravens, I don't bother him as Jason and I go to the office. I don't care that everyone is in the room, I just need someone to hold me right now.

After my dad's speech, my dad comes into the office knowing I needed to be with my family talk with someone.

My dad gives me a hug on his couch, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it was just terrifying. I mean I would have died if it weren't for Leo", I tell him as I wipe away my tears.

"I was so worried about you and I am so thankful you are here", my dad says as Jason nods almost crying at the thought of my death.

"Are you sure you are okay?", Jason asks me.

"Yeah, I should go help the Raven's clean...but where is Brooke? Is she ok?", I tell them getting up as they nod in agreement.

"Yes, although she was acting very foolish headstrong on finding Daniel in the middle of an earthquake", my dad tells me disappointed in Brooke. I nod and leave thinking about how strange Brooke has been acting since the dance.

I walk into Raven's clubhouse assuring everyone I was okay as I notice their worried expressions and walk to my locker. I see Aspen walk up to me covered in a towel, "How do you feel?"

I look in my locker trying to wipe away any marking of tears, "I'm fine. How are you, Aspen?"

"I'm fine. My hand hurts a little bit, but who cares? The important thing is that you're all right", Aspen chuckles before saying, "You don't have to. I did what anyone in that situation would have done. You don't have time to think in a moment like that. You just jump into action."

"Is that what you did because I remember you staring at me while I drowned", I tell her with sass deciding I will no longer try to be nice to Aspen because she has done nothing to be kind to me. 'Game on!'

Aspen walks up to me before saying, "You know, I get goosebumps just thinking about what would have happened if I hadn't pulled you and Leo out of there. So morbid. Awful way to go."

Aspen walks away as I go to get dressed for my family dinner. I wear a white sundress with gladiator sandals. I put my hair in a really fun and walk to my father's living area so I can meet them for dinner. As I walking I am shocked when I see Judy and Daniel at the dinner table eating my father's famous lasagna. I hear them talking about fate before I interrupt.

I sit down right next to Brooke and my father, "I'm sorry that I'm late. Nice to see you again Mrs. Hayward."

She gives me a small smile which I can easily tell is fake, "Hello to you as well Miss Osmund. Please call me Judy. I heard what happened earlier today at the beach during the earthquake I hope you're alright."

"I am...I lost my board though", I frown, sitting down as Brooke hands me the bread basket and then lasagna knowing it's my favorite. I am about to ask why they were talking about fate when my brother arrives in the room.

Everyone greets him as he gives Brooke and I a kiss on our foreheads before sitting down across from Mrs. Hayward. I passed him the lasagna knowing it's his favorite dish.

Leaving a light conversation once more before we direct our attention to the television which was broadcasting news about the earthquake and most importantly was supposed to be showing Sophie's footage.

The news anchor appears on the screen, "What would you do if a 5. 2 earthquake struck your school? For Sophie Cardona a student at the prestigious Greenhouse, her first instinct was to record a selfie video of the entire event. Today's earthquake was actually a highly localized microquake that only affected the five-mile campus of the Greenhouse. Thankfully, no one was seriously injured and there was no structural damage. But for the Greenhouse students, let's just say that quake rocked their world. 'This is the longest earthquake that I can remember. It is now 3:16 in the afternoon.' The Greenhouse is one of the most competitive high schools in the country. The academy is famous for training future leaders who are passionate about their ideas. We are all shocked by what Sophie allowed the reporter to broadcast and the rest of the dinner is mostly silent.
