"Uzo! You are here?" My school mother Sade Falade smiled at me. "Yes" I answered.
"Long time oh! Look at how robust you are" she teased.
"Robust ke? Then what will you call Abundance or Pascal" I joked referring to the fattest people in the school. She laughed "I hope you have no problems"

"No problem... I just need your help with some topics" I said.

"Oya show me let me help " She said patting the space beside her on her bed.

I couldn't believe it when a junior student told me that Sean Adeboye was waiting for me behind the biology lab that night.

Sean Adeboye was one of the school's hothead. He's nicknamed 'terry J' because of his rugged and gragra nature. My stomach churned as I sighted him. He was leaning on the wall with his phone in his hands typing furiously.

When I got to him, he looked up and smiled. "Hey" he began with his throaty voice which he tried to soften.
"What is it?" I asked almost impatiently. His smile widened making him look more annoying and ugly.

"Uzo...right" he asked
"Yes" I rolled my eyes. He stopped talking as a group of SS3 boys passed us. He spoke with them for a while and they left.

"Back to our discussion" he said licking his lips.
"Prep will soon begin please hurry up" I rolled my eyes.
"I've been noticing you. You're Adaku's sister right?"
"Hmm...." I grunted

"So who's your boyfriend?"
"Boyfriend?"
"Kamsy? That SS2 goat! He can't offer you anything"
"Who says I'm dating Kamsy?"
"Who doesn't know? He always follows you"

I shook my head. "Okay, since you say you have no boyfriend. How about you be my girl"

I glared at him "I can't date you"
"What?"
"I can't date you or anyone like you"
"Meaning?"
"Meaning I can never date you"
"So you're insulting me now?"
"I have not even started"
"Do I look like your mate?"
"Why didn't you think of that before asking me out" I ask in anger.

"Are you crazy? Do you know me at all?"
"Of corse I do. You're Sean Adeboye A.K.A the Terry J"

"I don't think you know me. Do you know how many girls I've used and how many would jump at this opportunity you have on a platter of gold"

"I'm definitely excluded"
"You don chop liver! You chop juju! I will deal with you girl. Do you think you're fine? Who you be sef? Because I say make I manage you, you come dey form for me. Wetin dey work you sef?"

"Terry man! What's going on her?" Chogu Umeh said walking towards us.
"Daggar ! This girl get mind to dey insult me. Me terry J"

"Babe you no dey look face?" Chogu asked.
"Do I look blind to you?" I asked angrily
"You get mouth to dey talk to me like that" Chogu said hitting his chest.

"Respect yourself and I will respect you. What even gave you the courage to approach me?"

"Mehn this girl na goat oh!" Sean said and tried to slap me but Chogu stopped him. "Don't hit her. You would be in trouble. Just calm down, we will treat her fuck up" he whispered to Sean to my hearing.

Sean turned to me "You'll pay girl. Mark my words...you will"

I hissed and walked away. This new year and term had already began with trouble.

I told Damola and Agatha what happened. At first Damola did not believe until Daniel Danjuma announced "Terry J dey vex oh! If you see the way he pushed me, I fear" Daniel said dusting his trouser. He always had an amused look on his face like he would burst into laughter at any moment.

"Girl you're brave oh" Agatha said
"But Sean will not spare you. This means serious trouble" Damola added.

"Mr Bingo don come oh! Mr bark bark!" Daniel announced.
"Let him hear you. Don't shut up" Onyiye hissed.

"SS2A get ready for prep!" Mr Ufo A.K.A. Mr Bingo said as he walked into the class.

The gist soon spread like wildfire that Uzoamaka Edogo bounced Sean Adeboye. Even Adaku heard about it.

"Uzo" Adaku called pacing the room. She had called me to her room that night. She was in Topaz house.

"Why did you insult him? Why didn't you tell him you'll think about it? Sean is very dangerous. Why didn't you at least tell me so I could try my best to talk him out of it?" Adaku  said.

"Why didn't you at least reject him politely" Maryrose Adaku's friend chipped in.

'You know what Uzo, steer clear of Sean while I try my best to beg him. If he says anything just keep shut and say nothing " she said.

"Okay sister Adaku" I said and left her hostel.

"Uzo"

I turned to see Kamsy walking towards my seat. "Aren't you going for biology?" I  asked.
"I am" he replied grinning.

"I heard what happened" he said putting his hands in his pocket. "I don't want to talk about it"

"Everyone is saying you refused Terry J because you are dating me" he continued.
I looked at him and shook my head "Me? Dating you?" I asked
"You can't date me?" He asked with a straight face.
"Why would I?" I asked looking around. The class was about empty.

"So you still hold grudges with me because of that kiss we shared last year after Christmas carol?" He asked his eyes boring into mine making me uncomfortable.

"I don't want to talk about that either"
"You keep saying that! You never want to talk about important things" he said.
"It's not important. And I've forgiven you. If I haven't, I wouldn't have talked to you this term" I said picking up my notes.

"What if I kiss you again?" He asked
I stared at him for a while "Then I'll slap you" I lied.
He chuckled as we made our way out of the class.

"Yesterday Terry J called me"
"Why?"
"To warn you"
"What did you say?"
"I said that you are brave and confident and you did what you wanted to" he said and got the smile he had long waited for.

"Danny Dan! You don dey craze abi" Damola asked.
"Wetin sef! You no fit respect person" Daniel Danjuma lamented.
"Respect who? Look at this Hausa goat. Abeg hold up. If you want to pass something stand up and pass it. Don't throw it" she said.

"Okay sorry Madam. Please forgive Daniel and kindly pass me my pen" Peter Davis said.
"And if I don't will you beat me?" She asked.
"Me? Beat you! You can beat everybody in this class all together" Peter laughed. "Except Soji..." Damola whispered to our hearing.

Everybody turned to Soji who was sleeping. He was the biggest boy in the class and came from the village. He had a record of being the highest stabber and a very good fighter. He even fought some SS3 boys when we were in SS1 and gave one of them a permanent scar on his face.

"Okay miss, calm down and give me my pen" peter pleaded. Damola smiled in satisfaction and gave it to peter.

"Who threw cream crackers on the floor?" Damola yelled on sighting the blue wrap of the biscuit on the floor. Dinny was the closest to it.

"Better pick it oh!" Damola barked.
"You better mind yourself" Dinny said.
"Me? Oyindamola Odebode? Mind myself?" Damola sprang up.

"Do I look like I'm the one that threw it?" Dinny asked
                    "Yes!"
"Then make me pick it! Useless thing!" Dinny hissed.

The force of the slap was enough to send Dinny to the hospital. The sound was deafening. It came so quick like lightening.

"You slapped me?" Dinny asked holding her cheek.
"No, she kissed you" Tony Akpamu replied Dinny causing the whole class to burst into laughter.

Dinny grabbed Damola and they began fighting.

                 "Morale"
                  "High!"
                 "Morale"
                 "High!"

The entire class chanted making way for them to fight. Just two punches sent Dinny to the floor.

"I'll kill you" she panted getting up to fight but some people held her down. Agatha and I held Damola.

"No, leave me! Her own is too much. She  thinks she's too big to do anything in this class. Is she mad? I saw her eating cream crackers, next thing the wrap was on the floor and she doesn't want to pick it! Is it because her father is a senator? She even called me useless!" Damola ranted.

Dinny got up and stormed out of the class and headed towards the administration block.

   "You're in trouble" I said.

             "Hot gbese"

I would have updated bit something came up. I typed the chapter and saved it thrice but it didn't save. I lost them all😩
I was so pissed.
