𝕋𝕙𝕚𝕤 𝕚𝕤 𝕒 𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕘 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣, 𝕝𝕚𝕜𝕖 𝕒 𝕣𝕖𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕪 𝕝𝕠𝕟𝕘 𝕔𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣. 𝔾𝕖𝕥 𝕔𝕠𝕞𝕗𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖, 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕝𝕝 𝕨𝕒𝕟𝕥 𝕥𝕠.

   Sonic woke up that day spread out on his bed again, not ready to go back to school. Surprisingly he woke up earlier than usual and his alarm hadn't gone off yet. Before it did eventually go off, he undid that setting for that day and walked into the quiet hallway woth the only sounds being the soft snores coming from his parents room. He wanted some cereal so he got the milk, bowl and spoon so now he needed the cereal. He tried reaching up for the cereal box on top of the refrigerator, the oversized shirt he wore as pajamas to sleep lifting as he stood on his toes. "Hnn..C'mon damnit!" He said out loud. With a swift movement he grabbed the cereal box and finally got to eat his well wanted cereal. He continued to eat while looking out of the huge window that let the morning sun in, complimenting Sonic's fur as usual. Jules stepped down the steps and Sonic's peacefulness came to an end as he was being nagged about not making breakfast for everyone. "You're so selfish, you could've made breakfast for everyone y'know. Me and your mother do enough for you already" Jules went on and on and Sonic just stared blankly at him, still eating his cereal. 'Please stop talking..' the younger thought as Jules finished up his insults.

     Sonic put his bowl into the sink and began walking up the stairs, until his wrist was yanked back ever so violently. Jules had a strong grip on Sonic's delicate wrist. "Hey wha-", "Listen here you little brat, I'm not going to sit here and let you just do what you want, you understand? You better be going upstairs to get ready for school ya hear'?" Jules' grip tightened while pulling on it, just like Shadow did yesterday. Sonic panicked in a way as another wave of fear brushed over him. "Y-you're hurting my wris- Ow!" Jules let go but effortlessly pushed him into the wall not caring about how hard. "Get the hell upstairs before I do something worse to your ungrateful ass...." With the last statement Sonic had already ran upstairs, ready to hit something. He should tell his mother, but what if she didn't believe him. The 'love of her life' putting his hands on Sonic that way. Then calling him a brat, 'What was that for?..' he questioned turning the shower on. He stood in the shower as he washed himself with his usual shower gel and soap. It was something about smelling the way he did every morning that filled him with confidence about his appearance. He liked how the gel turned into an immediate lather as he rubbed in it in along with the soap. Its like a whole bunch of clouds he liked to call it. Rinsing off the excess bubbles he hopped out of the shower turning the water off, and now brushing his teeth. "Sonic, dear c'mere for a second.." Bernadette was outside of the doorway and she sounded serious. Doing what he was told, he quickly finished and walked out. " Yes mom?..." a little scared of what she was going to say, she didn't look amused at all. "Sonic I'm not going to say this again, but you need to start respecting your father. He told me you lashed out at him for trying to help you get some cereal this morning.." Sonic was pissed, like really pissed. "Mom, y'know he's lying to you right?" He tried to convince her the truth but apparently her love for him only made it worse, "I don't want to hear it, and I mean it this time you understand?" Her voice was firmer now, and he gave up immediately after. "Yes mam..".

  'How long is this gonna go on?..' Sonic asked himself looking at the floor. Bernie being the caring and supportive mom she was, kissed her sons cheek "I love you Sonic, and don't forget it ok?" She gave a soft smile. "Love you too ma.." he smiles at her back, giving her a kiss on the cheek too. Walking away from the doorway he passes his father, he violently nudges his shoulder when he passed him. "Ow.." Sonic lowly whimpered as Jules pretended it didn't happen but gladly grew a face of kindness when he saw his mother. He growls at his actions while putting his gloves on. Finishing with his shoes, he went to look for a suitable hoodie that day. He liked being comfortable in school since it was already boring enough. He ended up picking a black one. It was oversized with the rest. Putting his book bag on his back, his phone in hand and headphones around his neck, he left the house, "Bye mom, love you!", "Love you too sweetie!".

 He dashed to school, somewhat early as usual. Tails wasn't there yet so he sat at the flag pole with his headphones. He stared into the sky while vibin' to some music he likes to listen to so he could relax, usually Jackstauber one of his personal favorite artists. All was nice until he saw a particular hedgehog walk into the gates. 'Shadow...' his heart skipped with fear, anger and the slightest bit of excitement. He wore a black hoodie too, but his complimented his well toned muscles on his arms. Sonic's face warmed a bit as he looked and admired the other. Shadow looked around with an amused and annoyed, tired face. He spotted sonic, and the azure hedgehog could've gotten whiplash from how fast he looked back at his phone. Pressing and sliding everything on the screen unsure of what to do, ' Shit, shit, shit! What if he comes over here?!' I don't want to deal woth this asshole this early in the morning..' he face palmed  in his head. Just to his disliking, Shadow had sat near him, not next to him, but near him and took out a paper.  Sonic was watching every movement he made. Shadow was wearing a ring, it looked good on him too. The ebony male took out a piece of paper, skimming through lines. "So are you going to say something or just keep staring?" Shadow spoke in an obviously annoyed voice. Sonic jumped , and his face grew a little hotter, 'Damnit..'  now he has to say something. "What is that?" he decided to ask about the paper. "You're nosy as hell. It's my schedule, and actually.." Shadow got up from where he was sitting and sat right next to Sonic, legs and shoulders touching. Shadow leaned over, invading Sonic's bubble, "Do you know where this class is?.."  His deep voice a little raspy from waking up just an hour earlier. Sonic's eyes lightened a little bit "Uhm..I have that first period today, and so do you so I could walk you there i-if you want" he answered back. Shadow looked into Sonic's eyes, menacingly observing the emerald orbs and all Sonic could do was stare back. "Y'know.." Shadow started as he pulled away from Sonic's face and his focus was back on the paper. " You act like an idiot for no reason sometimes.." Shadows voice was normal again, it was still raspy but in a regular way now. 'ok what the fu-' Sonic's thoughts were interrupted by the bell, he hadn't realized that more people had shown up at the school and he received a text from Tails, 'Hey- I'm running a little late today, wont be at school until second period T^T' Sonic puffed his cheeks a little and pouted replying, 'Awwee, alright bro :'(..'.

 Both of the hedgehogs walked through the hallway, though one was walking very close to the other. Sonic was a little frightened by walking through a specific hallway, y'know the one he could've been raped in. They both walked down that same hallway halfway there to the classroom until, "Ha! Look at this, he has a little bodyguard now!"  To Sonic's demise, Scourge had told a lot of seniors about the incident that occurred the day before. Knowing they can't have their way with him, all they can do is make fun of his size and shape. All the azure hedgehog could do was roll his eyes paying them no mind. "I'm not his bodyguard, but I wouldn't mind becoming one if y'all don't shut the hell up.." Shadow was already sick of being in the building with this unnecessary drama. Sonic immediately started shaking his head at the taller one. Scourge emerges from the crowd, "Why do you keep running from me?" Sonic continued to ignore him and walked. "You will listen to me sooner or later. You will belong to me.." Scourge and the crowd leave the hallway as Sonic and Shadow walked into the classroom. This teacher they had was strict, and everyone had an assigned seat. Sonic sat on one end of the classroom and Shadow on the other. They had perfect  views of each other. 

  Mr.Collins was explaining the topic for class that day. Sonic was gladly paying attention, until he felt eyes on him. Sonic took a glance at Shadow who was looking directly at him, with a poker face and half lidded eyes. It's like the ruby red orbs were glowing. Sonic tried to look back at the board but always ended up right back at Shadow. He began rubbing his legs together and bite his lips at the attention he was being given. Shadow licked his top lip and Sonic could have lost it right then and there. 'Why is he staring at me like that..' he put his head down, his legs still squeezed together and he started to bounce his leg. His tail moved rapidly at the sudden thoughts that filled his head. Shadow was leaning on the palm of his hand, his chest fur visible and his legs were open. He had formed a smirk on his face just before Sonic had out his head down. All of the visible flustered movements that Sonic made amused him in such a way. Sonic looked back up with his face warm from the blush only reddening at Shadows actions and body language. All he could do was stare, until " Sonic the Hedgehog! Pay attention or that's homework for you" Sonic had jumped up and and apologized, "I'm sorry Mr.Collins..." He glared at Shadow with the original hatred that was there yesterday. 'He did it on purpose! I swear  I'll kill him.." 

The bell run and Sonic was one of the last students to leave the classroom. Shadow was waiting outside of the door, smirking. "You know how much I hate you right now?" Sonic said tapping his foot and arms crossed while his left ear went down and the other pointed up . "Yup, y'know you're kinda cute when you act like that-" Shadow towered him again only to be punched in the gut. He looked back up to an unamused Sonic. He was looking up towards the ceiling and puffed. "Awe c'mon it wasnt even that bad.." Shadow tried to apologize, but Sonic continued to look up. "Sonic.." Shadow used that voice again, Sonic's head looking back at him immediately. "Look I'm sorry ok? If it made uncomfortable then I am truly sorry", Shadow apologized again. Sonic was speechless, looking up at the ebony hedgehog. Both had half-lidded eyes, both seeming emotionally exhausted in a way. Just then the late bell rung, and both immediately came back to their right senses and pulled away. Both think about what they had just did, then looking at each other again. They both go in different directions on the way to class, red as cherries. Sonic didn't know what to feel, he hated Shadow yet that just happened. Shadow didn't like Sonic at all really, but something in that moment was different. As they both disappeared, no one saw them surprisingly. No one except to pairs of angry eyes watching from a far side of the hallway, one azure blue and the other a dandelion yellow. 




Sonic arrived at the closed classroom door. Knocking, his teacher Mrs.Louis let him in. "Right your name on the late log and sit in your seat." Sonic being a good student, did as he was told and sat next to Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, and Amy a little too quiet. "Alright what happened? Everyone knows you aren't this quiet" Tails whispered to his left in the back of the classroom."Yea blue, what's wrong?" Rouge asked in a soft worried tone. "Who's ass do I have to kick now?" Knuckles added, "You're never late for class.." Any asked, obviously worried.  "I have..no idea" Sonic managed to get out. They all were puzzled by his answer, but decided to give him time to get his senses correct. "Tails, remember that hedgehog we saw in the hallway yesterday? Me and him kinda got to know each other and just now he kinda, apologized to me?.." his face confused as the memory flashed. "Amy run me my money, I told you!" Tails shouted. Amy excited but angrily gave Tails 5$. Sonic was confused and Rouge pitched in, "Tails explained to us what happened between you two in the hallway, Tails was convinced that he was your type however Any didn't and they had a bet. Apparently Tails knows you better than any of us heh" She chuckles. "But the question is..What happened earlier?" They all stared waiting for an answer and Sonic had just lost it. He didn't even like him! Especially not after that charade.

'Lord what the hell was that?...' is all Sonic could think of for the rest of the day.

  He went home that day not seeing Shadow again, to his relief. Entering his house he could see that no one was home. He found a note on the refrigerator only this time it was from his 'father'.

'Your mom and I are working extra hours today, she left before me. Don't make a mess.'

Sonic sighed at the note throwing it behind him. He enjoyed the silence throughout the house but he honestly wanted to spend time with his mother. He made his way upstairs and kicked off his shoes. He plopped onto his bed, bored as usual. Scrolling through the internet, he had decided to watch YouTube for a little while. "Hmm..." Sonic looked through his subscriptions. Wondering what he could possibly pass the time with. Honestly ready to throw his phone at this point, he turned it off in a failed attempt to find something to do. He found himself staring at the ceiling again, letting his mind wander about through his brain full of memory. He dozed off, falling into sleep not wanting anything to do with anyone else.
