𝚃.𝙽.𝚃 - 𝙰𝙲/𝙳𝙲

While sitting on the bleachers, Mike stands up from checking his watch and runs out the gym doors looking for his sister and Jonathan. When he gets back, he quickly tells his friends, "They're gone. Nancy and Jonathan are gone."

"They're probably just sucking face somewhere." Dustin shrugs.

"Ew." "Gross." Bea and Lucas gag.

"No. No way!"

Dustin wonders, "Did they go with the chief?"

"I don't know."

"No." The girls looked at each other after they said the same thing.

Mike turns to them. "What? Did you see them? Do you know where they went?"

"Yes." Eleven answers.

Dustin taps Beatrice's shoulder. "Is it the banshee thing?"

"Yeah." Bea nods.

"Where? Where did they go?"

"Demogorgon." The girls reply in unison.

Beatrice gets up from her seat and walks towards the pool. How did she know that? Yeah, maybe she's a banshee now — whatever that means — but it doesn't make sense. And to make matters worse is that Will is still there. The place where her sister died.

She can hear the boys talking but it's all overpowered by the static in her ears. She hates this. She hates being a banshee. What's the point of being supernatural if all you do is hear a noise all the time and scream at the top of your lungs when someone dies?

It's stupid and useless.

"Hey." Bea jumps at the feeling of a hand on her shoulder. She turns around to see Lucas. "Dustin and I are going to get chocolate pudding. Do you want to come?"

Bea nods, "Yeah, sure." As they start to walk to Dustin, Bea looks back at Mike and El. She sends a suggestive wink towards them.

"Bea, are you okay?" Dustin asked, referring to what Eleven confirmed a couple minutes ago as they left the gymnasium.

"Um, yeah, I guess. I mean, I already knew that she was gone, but now it's just so much more real. I just hope that they find Will. I don't think I could lose him too, knowing that Barb is actually dead." The boys nod in agreement.

"Yeah, even though Ericas annoying, I don't know what I'd do without her." Lucas puts it into his perspective.

Bea defends the young girl, "Erica isn't that bad."

"Oh, yeah? Try living with her." He scoffs, which resulted in the other two laughing.

Dustin opens the fridge door and yells, "Found it! I knew she was hoarding it. I knew it." He mutters about the school's lunch lady.

"Yeah." Lucas agrees as he grabs some pudding with them.

"Always lying, saying she's out." He scoffs.

"Bald-faced liar." Bea insults, grabbing herself some of the chocolate goo.

"Mike, I found the chocolate pudding!" Dustin yells to Mike who's in the cafeteria with Eleven.

They hear the boy yell an 'okay!' back as they focus on the chocolate pudding once again. They keep grabbing more and more. Once they have enough, the three of them run into the lunch room with plastic trays of it.

"This'll charge your battery right up. I'm telling you." Dustin tells Eleven as the kids start to open their pudding.

"Guys! Guys!" Mike yells frantically, sprinting into the cafeteria.

Everyone spins to face him. "What is it?" Lucas asks.

"They found us." The raven haired boy answers breathlessly.

They leave the pudding and run. They run so fast, they could be a part of the school's track team. They sprint down the halls to find a place to hide.

"How did they find us?" Lucas asks as they run down some stairs.

"I don't know, but they knew we were in the gym."

"Lando." Dustin responds as the doors open and the bad men start to chase after them.

As they run down the halls, the buzzing noise that Bea heard before grows so much louder now. So loud that it's not buzzing anymore. It's ticking. Someone's going to die tonight.

They run in one direction then another until they're trapped. A woman with white hair is in the front. She aims a gun at them. She looks at Beatrice as if she knew her and wonders, "You feel something, don't you?"

"What?" The girl asks out of breath from the running and fear.

The woman pushes, "What do you feel?"

Bea loosens her muscles and closed her eyes. Taking in a deep breath and feeling around her, she answers, "I feel like I'm standing in a graveyard." Her eyes holding contact with the woman.

And just like that, all the bad men — including the woman — start bleeding from their eyes and ears until they fall on the floor; dead. While that's happening, the strawberry blonde lets out an ear-piercing scream. Bea turns to look at Eleven, but when she turns around, said girl is collapsing onto the floor.

She jumps over to her. Checking her pulse as she begins to lose consciousness, herself. The boys crouch by them asking if they're okay. El is unconscious so she is unable to answer. Just as Beatrice is about to tell the boys to help flip Eleven over so Bea can perform CPR, a man's voice is heard from behind with more bad men following his lead.

"Leave her!" The man with gray hair says as Bea stays with the girl on the ground. "Ah, I see 'original seven' is still here. I heard your scream. Seems like you found your voice. Best to bring you with us. Experiments and what-not." He explains, looking at Beatrice.

She slowly stand to her feet. "My voice?"

"Yes, Banshee. Your scream." He eyes the boys and orders, "Step away from the children."

"No! You want 'em, you have to kill us first." Mike glares as the boys try to stand tall. This boy is gonna get himself killed one day.

"That's right." Dustin agrees.

"Eat shit." Lucas spits.

Well it was worth a shot. They were then grabbed from behind by more bad men. Where do they come from? Why do they keep multiplying?

The boys struggle against their grip as the strange man — who seems to be the boss — goes to grab the girls. He picks Eleven up as Bea stares at him. She can't move. She's frozen in place.

She can't hear anything. There's a ringing in her ears. It's worse than the buzzing. She doesn't hear the boy's protest of being held back. She doesn't hear the man Eleven called 'Papa' talking. All she hears is the ringing.

The ticking.

Then she notices the lights flicker. Her head turns to the boys. They know the look she's giving them as they stop struggling in the mens arms and cover their ears. She looks behind the Papa, to see the wall being destroyed. It's crumbling down. As Papa looks at her, she smirks. More people are going to die. When the monster climbs out of the wall and shows it's flower-like face, Bea screams. She screams for the second time that night.

As the men with guns start shooting at the demogorgon, the boys stand the girls up. They have to run again. Since Eleven still isn't awake, Dustin picks her up as they run to a classroom to hide in, Beatrice staggering behind.

Lucas shuts and locks the door behind them. Yeah, like that's gonna keep the thing out. It just came through a wall made of cement! They lay El down on a lab table. As Mike talks to the girl with a bloody nose, Bea walks backwards into the wall.

"Bea. Bea, what's wrong?" Dustin asks frantically, grabbing the girl's shoulders and shaking them.

"It— it's not over, yet." She chokes as the gunshots from outside the room are silenced.

They look towards the door as the monster kicks it down. Lucas gets his wrist rocket to attack as the demogorgon walks towards them. He throws a rock at its face, which only angers it more.

Seriously, dude? If men with guns can't kill this thing, what makes you think you can with a slingshot and rocks?

He keeps on going until one of them pushes the thing all the way to the wall. Or, at least he thinks it was him. It was actually Eleven with her powers that pushed the creature.

"Eleven, no—" Bea starts to protest, only to be slammed into the wall behind her. Not too hard though. Eleven didn't hurt her and never would. Mike being Mike goes up and tries to stop her, which resulted in him being flung backwards, too. Learn from other people's mistakes, dude.

Eleven keeps walking slowly up to the demogorgon, keeping it in its place. Honestly, it's giving me anxiety about how slow she's going. Like, just get there already. It's not going anywhere, you're using your mind to keep it in place!

Eleven looks back at them and croaks, "Goodbye, friends." As she puts her hand up and uses her powers to kill the thing. Tears flow down their faces as they watch with horror as their new friend sacrifices herself.

She screams. So loud you might think that she's the banshee in the group. All the kids look away and cover their ears. Beatrice screams. Even though the boys can hear her, no one knows if she's screaming because El just — possibly — died, or because she's so upset to see her new friend go.

Was her scream a banshee scream?

When the lights stop flashing, they look around. Eleven is gone. She disappeared. The boys go up to the spot she was just at, yelling and screaming her name. Beatrice stays on the floor, cradling herself as she cries.

Mike rushes back to Bea. He grabs her shoulders and shakes her back and forth asking, 'Did you know El was going to die?' or 'Is that why you were screaming?' and 'Why aren't you answering me?'

After he said that, Dustin and Lucas grabbed him off of her. Dustin brings Mike to the front of the classroom to calm him down as Lucas stays with Bea to make sure she's okay. She had a pretty traumatic night. They all did. But with all the screaming she did, she's really, really tired. She's drained.

Eventually, they numbly stand up and walk out of the school doors. Ambulances are there and the kids go sit in some to answer questions and wait for their parents to pick them up.

When Beatrice's parents get there, they waste no time to go to their baby girl. They already have one missing — dead — and they can't lose another. They all hug. A long tight hug. It worried them so much when they got a phone call saying to go to the school because their daughter was there with the police.

All the kids were driven to the hospital for two reasons. One; because they had to, based on their injuries from what happened at the school. And two; because they found Will. They really found him, and they're allowed to see him once he wakes up.

Everyone's sitting in the waiting room. Seeing Steve Harrington and Hopper next to each other made Bea laugh a little. Especially when she saw Steve's face.

What had happened while they were at the school?

She was sitting next to the boys, of course. Only Lucas and Dustin fell asleep. Her and Mike couldn't even if they tried. Flashes of the night kept going through their minds.

"I'm sorry." Mike apologized, barely over a whisper, but Bea hears him. She seems to hear everything now.

She knows why he's apologizing. For acting crazy earlier. "It's okay. We're both hurting." She accepts as they both only stare at the floor. "Mike—"

The door opened, cutting Bea off, and in walked Jonathan. He looks right at the kids and tells them that Will is awake. He's actually awake, and wants to see them. Bea and Mike wake up the drooling boys from their slumber and practically sprint to Will's room.

When they reach him, they all yell his name as they tackle him in a hug. It's good to have him back. They were sure to be gentle to not hurt him.

"You won't believe what happened when you were gone, man." Lucas starts, thinking about what Will missed.

"It was mental." Dustin agreed in excitement.

"You had a funeral."

"Jennifer Hayes was crying."

"And Troy peed himself." Bea added, laughing at the memory.

"What?" Will asked, astonished.

"In front of the whole school!"

Will starts to cough and everyone goes silent. Is he okay? They thought he was okay, what's wrong?

"You okay?" Mike asks, gesturing towards him.

He looks up at his friends. "It got me. The demogorgon."

"We know. It's okay. It's dead. We made a new friend." Mike informs. At the mention of El, Bea drops her head.

She doesn't know where the girl is. She's not dead, she's certain about that. When she screamed, it was more of a scare for her and her friends' lives. Not a death prediction scream. No banshee-ness involved.

"She stopped it." Mike continued, "She saved us. But she's gone now."

"Her name is Eleven." Dustin brought up.

"Like the number?" The boy on the hospital bed questions.

Lucas shrugs. "Well, we call her El for short."

"She's basically a wizard." Dustin says.

"She has superpowers." Bea whispers.

"More like a yoda." Mike corrects Dustin.

"She flipped a van with her mind."

"And these agents were trying to shoot us—"

"Yeah, it flipped over us—"

"Then she squeezed the brains out—"

"After Bea predicted their death, though." Dustin exposed. Bea slapped his chest, earning an 'oof' from the boy.

Will's eyes widened into the size of saucers. "You predicted their deaths?"

"Oh, yeah, um, apparently I'm like a banshee from Dungeons and Dragons." The girl shrugged sheepishly.

"Awesome." Will gloated and she blushed a little.

Just a wee bit.

They kept on telling Will about everything. They mentioned Barb a little, but not too much because it's still a sore subject for them, especially Beatrice.
