UMBRIDGE HUFFED IN great annoyance as she was forced to accept the residence of the little girl.

lily's tiny hand was bandaged as her scar was still not healed, and probably will never be gone, leaving a permanent mark.

"lily? what's with the bandages?", george asked, also catching the attention of fred, who was stuffing his face with shepherd's pie.

"u-umm...I-I fell and hurt my hand. it's nothing though", lily awkwardly smiled as she picked up her chicken leg and started munching on it.

since she was at the gryffindor table today, she was able to eat however she wanted.

"fell? and you didn't hurt your other hand or your knees?", fred asked, clearly suspicious.

"it's umbridge", harry answered for the girl as he too had the same bandages on the same hand.

"what? she abusing lily too?? why didn't you tell snape or dumbledore? he could easily fire her!", fred said.

harry sighed.

"dumbledore can't. umbridge is here with the recommendation of the ministry", hermione sighed out, thankful that the professors had charged in before she was able to write on the parchment.

george glanced down at the clearly upset girl, as her bubbly aura had definitely deflated.

"don't be all sad now lily. just think of umbridge as a pink pile of unicorn poop", george whispered, making the girl slightly smile.

"if you don't start smiling, I'm afraid george and I will have to attack you with tickles", fred warned, making the girl immediately plead for mercy.

"okay okay!! please don't tickle me!!", lily laughed, making the twins smile.

"anyways, why don't we take you to hogsmeade later?? halloween's coming up and didn't you want to be belle or something??", george grinned.

"mmm...yeah but I don't want to ask papa to buy me a new costume", lily pouted, making the twins suddenly gain a new idea.

"well...if you can't afford one...", fred started.

"then let's make one!", george finished.

the twins and lily entered the great hall, catching the attention of nearly everyone. even dumbledore had a good laugh out of the trio's costume.

"TRICK-OR-TREAT PROFESSOR DUMBLEDORE!!", lily smiled as she stuck her little pumpkin basket in front of the great wizard.

"happy halloween lily. and what are you three supposed to be?", dumbledore asked as he dropped a few pieces of candy into the girl's basket.

"I'm cat in the hat! and fred is thing 1 and george is thing 2!", lily explained, looking back at the two seventh-years that had on red jumpsuits and obviously blue-dyed hair that nearly looked purple considering they were gingers.

lily's costume was made of a special material. she had on a normal black shirt and black pants with a white and red hat that stuck up like a volcano.

there was a matching red bow attached to the collar of lily's shirt that nearly was the size of the girl's head.

then there was a white fluffy patch of fur that was pasted against the front of the girl's black shirt, covering her entire shirt except for her sleeves.

umbridge squinted her eyes as she questioned why that looked so familiar.

"is that my—"

"anyways!! lily's gotta go get some more candy from everyone else!", fred interrupted as he quickly ushered the confused girl towards the hufflepuff table first.

"trick-or-treat!!"

lily smiled at cedric who was surprised for a moment before chuckling at the cute image in front of him.

"happy halloween lily. be careful and don't eat too much candy! you don't want cavities", cedric warned as he dropped a few twizzlers into the girl's basket.

"thank you ced!! also I love your vampire costume", lily grinned as she hopped towards the rest of the hufflepuffs with fred and george trailing behind.

"happy halloween luna!!", lily greeted, to which the girl just smiled.

"happy halloween lily. you look very adorable", luna complimented.

"thank you!! are you dressed up as athena??"

"indeed. I find her wisdom, intelligence, and reasoning very admirable", luna said as she patted down her pure white robes.

"well then. it's my honor to be in your presence athena", lily giggled as she bowed, making luna drop a few pieces of sweets into the girl's pumpkin basket.

"now, go on with you quest of trick-or-treating. I'll surely oversee you", luna pretended as lily sillily saluted before bidding luna goodbye.

"MIONE!! RON AND HARRY!!", lily cheered, making the gryffindors raise a brow.

"OH LILY!! YOU ARE JUST THE CUTEST!!", hermione gushed as she quickly grabbed the girl into a tight embrace.

fred and george gasped.

"and we are not?!"

hermione ignored the twins' statement as she happily dropped healthy treats into her basket.

"you must not eat too much candy lily. my parents are dentists and they tell all the horrors of kids with teeth that look like the leaning tower of—"

"anyways!! unlike hermione over there, I'll be giving you some chocolate frogs", ron grinned, making lily smile.

hermione just rolled her eyes as she stabbed the egg on her plate, making the yolk drizzle out.

"uh-oh. granger danger! granger danger!!", fred teased, quickly ushering the little girl to run around pass the gryffindor table.

"are you okay neville??", lily asked as she suddenly halted, nearly making the twins trip from the abrupt stop.

"h-huh? o-oh yeah I'm fine", the boy meekly answered.

"well don't be so down. here! have some chocolate so you can feel amazingggg!!", lily smiled as she shoved some sweets into neville's hands.

"thank—"

lily already skeeted away as neville just looked down at his hands, smiling.

"trick-or-treattttt!!", lily greeted the slytherin table.

some sneered at the twins that was following lily, but didn't dare say anything, as if they were to make fun of lily, lily would become upset. and if lily was upset, draco would hex them, especially now that he was prefect.

"drayyyy!!! happy halloween!!", lily cheered, making the boy glance up from his plate of food.

"ah yes, my favorite little hufflepuff".

draco immediately opened his arms, to which lily was about to go hug the male until she had felt someone pick her up.

"sorry, but it looks like we've got to get back to the gryffindor table. lily needs to eat her dinner", fred grinned as he was about to walk away with lily.

"lily can eat with slytherins. and she hasn't received her sweets yet", draco spoke, clearly not happy that he didn't get his hug from the little girl.

"no way! she's been eating with you guys every morning! we barely get to see her", george protested.

"well maybe if you guys weren't hogging her all day, I wouldn't have to force her to stay with me every morning!", draco retorted.

lily nervously glanced around as she saw umbridge quickly marching over.

and as if a lightbulb had suddenly went off in her head, she heavily gasped.

"THAT FABRIC'S FROM MY WHITE DRESS!!"

fred and george looked at each other with a mischievous glint in their eyes.

"oops".
