The batfamily, as they're normally called. Looked picture perfect in their civilian alias', the Wayne's. But, in reality they were cracking, breaking off chip by chip. Tim Drake was a manic depressed mess, Dick Grayson hallucinated at least once every week. Jason Todd had episodes of uncontrollable emotions fueled by fear of abandonment or anger, and Damian? 

Damian was following in his brother's footsteps. Uncontrollable emotions fueled him, traits of the same disorder Jason has fueling his brain. Last of all, Bruce Wayne. He was trying his best to hold this family together, the guilt of past mistakes weighing on his shoulders

For example, Bruce's guilt of not being able to save Jason from his fate makes him overcompensate by trying to save Damian at all costs. His guilt from not seeing Tim's bipolar disorder until his suicide attempt (yeah that happens, we'll get to that shortly). Or Dick's schizoaffective disorder that came to be after Jason's death. 

Even when Jason has a breakdown and harms himself in fear of Bruce abandoning him for good, Bruce feels so god damn guilty. Especially when Damian's mental health takes a turn for the worse and Bruce just refuses to see the facts that soon turns to guilt and fear of what could happen, what will eventually happen.

He blames himself for not being able to help his children. He feels so helpless and guilty for not protecting them from their own illnesses. He feels like he is failing them.

His family has cracked. 

And it's his fault. If Bruce wasn't Batman, didn't make Dick Robin then everything would be okay. Or so that's what he wishes.
