i woke up in my bed, and reached for my phone that was charging on the nightstand, i then noticed it was 2pm. i sat up in bed immediately, i had only two hours until dominic picked me up, and i didn't even have a dress ready.

i jumped up from my bed and began rifling through my closet, frustration mounting as i realized i didn't have anything worthy of the melody master awards. i knew i had to come up with something fast. in a moment of desperation, i turned to snoh, my new manager.

"thank you so much!" i sent the message back before i hopped into the shower. as i stood under the steaming water, i couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. i didn't want to disappoint dominic.

finally getting out of the shower, i quickly dried my body and started picking out an outfit. simple white croptop, loose jeans, and white sneakers. i threw on some jewelry and decided to get going.

after spending an hour at the boutique with snoh, trying on several different dresses, i settled for a stunning silver gown. the moment i slipped into the dress, i knew it was the one; it hugged my curves perfectly and gave me an instant boost of confidence. as i looked at myself in the mirror, i couldn't help but feel excited at the thought of wearing this dress on the red carpet with dominic. "do we like?" i asked snoh as i walked out of the fitting room and did a spin in the dress.

snoh's eyes widened and a smile spread across her face. "oh my god, elaine, you look absolutely stunning! that dress is absolutely perfect on you," she gushed. "when dominic sees you he's going to be smitten."

i smiled at snoh and turned to the sales associate who had been helping us pick out dresses. "what brand is this again?"

the sales associate, who had been quietly standing in the background, spoke up with a warm smile on her face. "the dress you're wearing right now is a beautiful creation from the fashion house of valentino. it's from their 'ready-to-wear' collection and it's a masterpiece, if i do say so myself."

"valentino? hm..." i paused as i looked at myself in the mirror again. "i'll take it." i said.

"excellent choice! just bring the dress with you to the front when you're ready to check out." the sales associate said before walking away. i closed the door of the dressing room and changed back into my regular clothes and walked out to the front, snoh right there next to me.

as we walked by the shoe section, snoh picked up a pair of silver heels. "what do you think about these?" she asked, holding them up for me to see. they were a perfect complement to the dress, adding a touch of elegance and flair to the outfit.

"they're gorgeous." i said, feeling a rush of excitement at the thought of wearing them. i tried them on and they fit perfectly, i had officially picked out the perfect outfit. after purchasing both the dress and shoes, which came up to over $5,000 i headed to the front and gave snoh a hug before heading back home where i found anaya eating ice cream from one of those one person's packaging.

"hey!" i said as i walked in with the two bags.

"hey? you went shopping?" she asked with raised eyebrows.

"yeah, i got a dress and shoes for tonight!" i said as i walked up the stairs, i made my way up to my room and anaya followed me. "i've got to do my makeup super quickly and then get dressed." i said as i threw the bags down on my bed.

"did you need any help?" anaya asked.

"no no, i should be fine...thanks though." i said with a small smile.

"if you find that you do need help, i'll be in my room!" she said before walking out. i quickly got ready and then admired myself in the mirror, as soon as i finished i heard chatter coming from downstairs. i recognized that deep voice automatically, it was dominic's. i put on my dangly earrings before heading downstairs.

as i reached the bottom of the stairs, i saw dominic and anaya sitting on the couch and chatting. a smile quickly spread across dominic's face the moment he laid eyes on me, his expression a reflection of pure happiness.
before i knew it, dominic was on his feet and walking to greeting me with a warm hug. "you look beautiful," he said quietly in my ear.

"thank you...you look amazing." i said in his ear, he was wearing an all black outfit. i kissed his cheek before pulling away.

as i pulled away from the hug, dominic gave me another one of his cheeky grins. he offered me his arm and gestured towards the door. "cmon let's head out...we don't want to be late." he said with a charming smile.

i walked with him outside, there was an all black range rover that had completely tinted windows. i remembered dominic had a grey range rover. "new car?" i asked.

he shook his head. "no that's the drivers whip...i don't like to drive to events when i do go to them, parking can be a pain in the ass." he explained as he opened the back door for us.

as i slid into the car i couldn't help but notice dominic's attention fixed on me. his gaze held intrigue and affection, i gave him a coy smile and asked "see something you like?"

dominic returned the smile with an even bigger one, his eyes full of lust and appreciation. "yeah i do."

i laughed softly as he got in the car and closed the door behind us. the car ride was peaceful, i needed all the peace i could get before i headed to the award show, i knew it'd be overwhelming and loud, but knowing that dominic would be next to me helped calm my nerves.

as the drive continued, dominic reached over and took my hand in his. his touch sent an electric feeling through my body, and i couldn't help but smile as he intertwined our fingers together. we both sat quietly, enjoying the comfortable silence that filled the air.

after a few more moments the driver announced that we were pulling up to the venue. the streets were packed with flashing lights and paparazzi. as the car pulled up to a stop in front of the carpet, the door was instantly opened by a young volunteer. i could feel my heart racing with anticipation. dominic hopped out and held his hand out for mine, which i confidently took. guessing that dominic could tell how nervous i was, he whispered in my ear discreetly. "i'm right here, alright?"

i flashed him a grateful smile and nodded, feeling comforted by his presence. we stepped out of the car and immediately i was met with flashes from every angle... there were paparazzi, reporters, fans, and other celebrities all around. the paparazzi took photos of dominic and i only solo ones. after the red carpet we headed into the huge auditorium. as soon as we walked in, dominic started to talk with some other musicians.

i noticed solana and gave her a wave, she immediately ran over with open arms. "i didn't know you'd be here!" she squealed. "i didn't even know you'd be here." she said looking at dominic.

dominic shrugged. "yeah, it was a last minute decision. right, elaine?" he said looking at me with a smirk.

i nodded. "right" i responded with a bright smile.

solana then turned to me and gave me a once over, her eyes widened approvingly.  "that dress is absolutely stunning." she said before pulling me into a tight hug.  she smelled like strawberries and champagne.

"aww thanks! you look so beautiful, solana!" i said as i pulled away from the hug and looked at her in admiration.

solana gave me a shy smile, a bit of her natural shyness peeking through her carefree nature. "thank you. i'm not gonna lie, i'm a nervous wreck just being here... there's so many amazing musicians here tonight." she confided in me. i nodded emphatically understanding her feelings all too well.

"i know...this was technically my first red carpet, i couldn't have done it without him." i said as i looked up at dominic.

dominic turned to us and gave us a charming grin, his confidence and charisma on full display. he then put his arm around me, a gesture of support and affection, before looking at solana. "no need to thank me, i'm more than happy to have this beauty with me tonight."

"so are you guys official now?" solana asked with raised eyebrows, causing me to nod. with that solana, dominic and i walked to a table and sat down.

as we took our seats at the table, i couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over me. i looked at dominic sitting next to me, and he gave me a soft smile that made my heart skip a beat. we sipped on champagne as we enjoyed the show, and i felt a newfound sense of comfort and serenity being next to him.

the awards went on for what felt like forever, and as nine pm rolled around i found myself feeling tired and drained. dominic seemed to notice and leaned in close to me, his hot breath sending tingles down my spine. "do you wanna get out of here?" he whispered in my ear.

"wouldn't leaving early be seen as disrespectful?" i whispered back.

dominic chuckled softly and shook his head. "babe, i don't give two shits about being seen as disrespectful. if people wanna talk then let them talk, it doesn't matter. besides, i can feel that you're tired right now." he replied sincerely. "plus after people get their awards, they leave. solana left, billie eilish left, dua lipa left, so did miley cyrus...the list goes on, lainey."

his words were like soothing salve on my worries. i looked into his eyes, now filled with a fierce determination. he was right. after all, there wasn't anything left for us to see. "okay, let's get out of here." i said softly with a nod. dominic quickly stood to his feet.

i stood up as well and reached for his hand, together we walked out. i passed by olivia and she waved with a big smile, i returned the gesture and waved with a soft smile as i continued to walk out discreetly.

as we slowly walked out of the auditorium hand in hand, i couldn't help but feel relieved to finally be in peace and quiet. the cool night air felt refreshing after the bustling energy of the red carpet. the faint sounds of crickets filled the air, a stark contrast to the loud noises of the award show. i leaned against dominic, feeling safe in his presence. as we continued on our way out, dominic's thumb began gently caressing the back of my hand. the small touch sent a warm feeling throughout my body, and i sighed softly, contentment filling me. we finally reached the car parked outside when dominic suddenly pulled me closer. his eyes locked onto mine with an intense gaze, causing my heart to race. he didn't speak, instead his lips found mine. the kiss was tender yet passionate, sending sparks flying between us. i melted into him, my lips responding eagerly to his as we stood under the starry night sky.

as we pulled apart slowly, i found myself breathless yet wanting more. dominic's lips curved into a satisfied smile as he spoke. "i've been wanting to do that all night." he said quietly, his voice low and sultry.

"i don't know what you were waiting for..." i said as i shook my head, a smile on my face.

he chuckled softly before pulling me closer, his arms wrapping around my waist. his embrace felt affectionate as he spoke, his voice gentle and warm. "you're right." he said, resting his forehead against mine. "i should've done it earlier."

with that, he closed the gap between us again, his lips finding mine in another searing kiss. this time the kiss was more desperate, filled with longing and desire. i wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer as i deepened the kiss, surrendering to the moment. we continued our passionate embrace under the starry night sky, our bodies pressed close together. i couldn't help but feel consumed by the intensity of the moment, my heart pounding in my chest as i drowned in the intoxicating feeling of his touch.

finally, after what felt like an eternity, we pulled apart, our breath slightly ragged. dominic looked at me with a mix of adoration and longing, his eyes glistening in the moonlight. "you're breathtaking," he said softly, his thumb tracing the outline of my bottom lip.

"you're one to talk..." i said.

dominic smiled at my response, his eyes filled with affection. he leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on my forehead before opening the car door for me and gestured for me to get in. as i slid into the back seat i couldn't help but feel my emotions swelling. "to your house, right?" he asked. i nodded.

the drive back to my home felt like it passed in the blinking of an eye. the city lights whizzed by, casting a warm glow on dominic's face as he sat silently next to me. i held onto his hand, occasionally stealing glances at him, admiring his profile and feeling grateful for the time we spent together. as we pulled up to my home the driver announced our arrival before bringing the vehicle to a halt. dominic swiftly got out of the car and opened my door for me. he extended a hand towards me and i took it graciously.

he walked me to my front door where he looked at me with a smile. "have a good night, elaine."

"thanks for tonight...seriously." i responded.

dominic leaned in and pressed a tender kiss against my cheek, his lips lingering there for a moment. his touch was gentle yet firm, and i couldn't help but feel the warmth of the moment. when he pulled away, his eyes met mine, filled with a mix of emotion and affection. "you're welcome." he replied, his voice soft and intimate.

we stood there for a few more moments, neither of us willing to break eye contact. i found myself entranced by his beauty and sincerity. as much as i relished the moment, i knew it was time to say goodnight. i took a deep breath and gave him a shy smile. "goodnight, dominic." i walked inside the front door and closed the door behind me. i then ran to the living room and peeked out the window, discreetly enough so he wouldn't see me.

dominic smiled at the front door before swaying to the car. as i watched him walk away, i couldn't help but feel a bittersweet mix of contentment and emptiness. the brief moment we shared felt like a beautiful dream, leaving me craving more. i sighed softly, wishing i could freeze time and stay in that moment forever, with dominic by my side.
