the sun shined bright into my room and i began to slowly open my eyes and rub them. i looked over on the other side of the bed and saw dominic, who was sound asleep, his arm still wrapped around me. he looked so adorable.

i sat up in bed, i didn't want to get out of his grip, but i knew i had to get up sometime. after i shifted around, i heard a small sigh, and looked over to see dominic waking up. he looked at me with heavy eyes, "good morning, beautiful." he said with a sleepy smile, his tone was playful.

"morning, handsome." i replied with the same playful tone as his.

dominic sat up in bed with me. "what time is it?" he asked in his low and raspy morning voice.

i looked at my phone on the nightstand and tapped the phone to check the time. "uhhh 9:58." i answered.

"it's so early." dominic groaned as he placed his head on my shoulder before placing a gentle kiss on my shoulder.

"i know, but you have to go to that meeting this morning, don't you?" i asked him.

he let out a heavy sigh before getting out of bed completely. "yeah...i forgot about that."

"what time is the meeting?" i asked

"it starts at eleven." he said, still with a heavy and tired tone. he stretched his arms out and took in a deep breath.

"is it close by here or near your place?" i asked, as i remembered that dominic lives in the hills while i live in venice, a fourty minute drive...that is with no traffic.

"it's in beverly." he replied. "it's not super far from here, but with la traffic...god knows how long it's going to take." he continued.

"well then i guess you'll have to leave like...now?"

dominic looked at the time on his phone and then nodded. "yeah, i need to get it moving." he said.

"could i make you breakfast or something? i don't like you leaving on an empty stomach..." i said, my voice laced with pure concern.

"mmm that would be good..." he said as he thought about it for a few seconds. "yeah, i'll eat before the meeting."

"okay go wash up and do whatever you need and i'll go downstairs and cook...okay?" i said as i got up from the bed and walked to my bedroom door.

"okay, sounds good. thank you." he said with a soft smile as he watched me leave the room.

as i entered the hallway i noticed raelynn's door had a sign on it. 'don't come in' was written in red marker, i let out a sigh as i walked down the stairs.

i began to search the kitchen for any kind of breakfast meal i could cook, and to my surprise there was absolutely nothing. no eggs, no bagels, and no bacon. i groaned in frustration as i grabbed bread.

i pulled out enough bread slices for dominic and i before placing them on a pan that had olive oil on it, where i toasted the bread. after it was to my liking i placed it on a board cutter where i added the toppings, goat cheese, avocado slices, lemon juice, salt, pepper, hot honey, and chili flakes.

once i completed the meal i placed the avocado toast on two plates before i heard the sound of dominic's footsteps coming down the stairs, he looked ready to go. "here's your food...i was just about to brew some coffee." i said.

"thanks, this looks amazing." he said as he sat down at the kitchen counter barstool. "and yeah, coffee would be great...i can get that going though." his eyes were tired but so beautiful and his eyes were so kind. i could tell he felt at home at my house. it just felt so right to have him here with me.

"don't worry about it, i'll make the coffee, you eat..." i said.

he smiled and took a bite out of the avocado toast. "you're such a good cook..." he said. "god, i wish i could stay here and just chill with you today, this is so nice."

"i know, i wish you could stay longer..." i said as i waited for the coffee to finish brewing.

"mhm, but hopefully this label meeting will get me closer to my goal" he said with a hopeful tone in his voice. "i'll make it up to you, i swear." he smiled sincerely as he took another bite from his food.

"oh yeah? and how do you expect to do that?" i asked with a smirk as i poured coffee into a to go cup for him.

"i have a few ideas." he said smirking, he was clearly flirting. his body language towards me showed his true desire for me.

i placed the to go cup that was filled with hot coffee in front of him and smiled slightly. "well let me know when you've narrowed your many ideas down to one."

dominic chuckled lightly. "i will, trust me," he said with a smirk, as he finished off his toast. he then stood up, his body rose in front of me. "okay, i have to head out now." he sighed.

"text me when you get there, okay?" i said, i was always worried about people getting places safely, and if dominic and i continued on with this, he'd catch on in no time.

"i promise." he said with as much conviction as he  ould have in that moment. he then went over and pulled me in for a hug and held me tightly to his body...when he pulled away he looked down at me and placed a gentle kiss on my lips before grabbing his to go cup and walking towards the front door, where i followed.

dominic walked out of the front door, looking back at me as he left, smiling. "bye elaineee," he sang as he walked to his range rover.

"bye dom" i sang back as i watched him open his car door.

before he got into the car, he looked over at me... "oh and elaine?" he called out.

"yeah?" i called out from the front porch.

"let me take you out, this friday...for dinner." he said.

"is that how you've decided to make it up to me?" i teased.

dominic smiled widely and nodded. "yeah, you could say that."

"alright, then count me in." i said.

he seemed content with my answer as he took a small sip of his coffee and nodded again. "i'll pick you up at seven." he said.

"i'll see you then, dom."

"see you, elaine." dominic said as he flashed one more big smile to me and got into his car.

i waited for him to safely leave my driveway and when he did, he honked his horn as a way to say goodbye, i returned the gesture with a simple wave, before i walked back into my house where i was met by anaya who was dressed in grey wide leg sweatpants and a white cropped top. she took a sip from her water bottle before sending me a smirk. "so...he spent the night?"

i blushed at anaya's remark as i closed and locked the front door. "yes he did."

"aaanddd? did you guys do anything?" she asked as she ran behind me up the stairs.

"no, not really...we talked, and cuddled. he only left because he has some big meeting with his label." i explained as we walked into my room.

"and?" she asked as she sat on my bed.

"and i really like him...like i'm falling for him. i mean, he was so vulnerable with me last night and what we talked about seemed to be something he doesn't tell just anyone...ya know?" i said, standing in front of anaya.

"that's expected..." she said with a nod. "but good for you! he's cute...and sweet...and famous!!" she practically yelled the 'famous' part, causing me to laugh and sit next to her on the bed. "i am kind of surprised he didn't do anything with you last night, he looks like the type to." anaya added.

"yeah i guess...but i think that the fact that he didn't do anything makes me like him even more." i said with a smile on my face. "have you talked to raelynn today? i haven't talked to her since last night and now she has that sign on her door..." i asked.

"i talked to her a bit last night, but other than that, she's been locked in her room, and i know she's not asleep because i heard her crying just a couple minutes ago." anaya said with a shrug.

zoë then walked in, "hey ladies." she said with a bright smile.

"hey zo!" i exclaimed as i patted the empty area on the bed next to me, where she sat.

"what are we talking about?" zoë asked.

"raelynn." anaya answered quickly, zoë nodded.

"what do you all wanna do?" i asked the girls.

"nothing." zoë answered to be met by surprised expressions from myself and anaya. "well think about it, this has happened so many times before. she hates when we try to help her, he likes to be alone in times like this. just her and that notebook."

"that is true...when raelynn is in this kind of funk she opens her notebook and writes a bunch of poems and then once she's perfected it all, she publishes it and then boom she's back to the normal raelynn." i said.

"and it only takes her three days." zoë added.

"and after those three days she's moved onto some other guy." anaya agreed.

"so let's just check in on her, make sure she eats, converse with her, and give her time to write." zoë said. she always knew what was best for people's mental health, she was a psych major after all.

anaya and i both agreed, and i filled zoë in on dominic and i's night...before i knew it, i got a text from dominic at 11:03, letting me know he arrived at his meeting. i smiled at the text and thumbs'd up his message, before going back to my conversation with the girls.
