"Who the fuck are you? And why the fuck are you in my seat?" Kalia snapped.

"Jason Romero, pleased to meet you" The man smirked while holding out his hand. "This seat was free so I took it, have a problem with that?"

"Fuck you." Kalia cursed, she walked away to a new table. Only for the man, Jason, to follow her.

"Well, it looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Jason joked.

"Yeah well fuck you too." Kalia retorted.

"Woah, calm down sweetheart." Jason smirked. 

"Do you ever just oh I don't know, shut the fuck up?" Kalia questioned

"I do if you make me" Romero flirted, irritating Kalia even more.

"What the fuck do you want Romero?" Kalia questioned.

"To get to know you, what else would I want?" Jason questioned.

"To annoy me," and with that Kalia walked away from the interaction.

Kalia's frustration was palpable and she clearly wasn't in the mood for conversation. She wanted Romero to leave her alone, but he persisted and kept trying to get to know her. She felt overwhelmed and didn't want to deal with them, so she walked away from the interaction.

She knew that continuing the conversation would only encourage him and give him false hope that she was interested. Walking away was her way of sending a clear message that she was not interested in getting to know him.

She had been down this path before and didn't want to go through the same disappointment she had experienced in the past. She was also worried Romero might become too clingy and make her feel trapped in a relationship she didn't want.

This situation is like walking through a field of landmines - it's easy to take one wrong step and end up in a lot of trouble. She wanted to avoid this at all costs, so she decided to take the safe route and just walk away.

She learned this the hard way in the past.

For instance, when she was previously dating James, her ex, she ignored her own intuition and got too emotionally attached before she realized things weren't going to work out. She recognized that getting too attached to someone too quickly was likely to lead to heartbreak, and she wanted to protect herself against that. So she decided to take the safe route and just walk away to avoid putting herself in a vulnerable position.

She figured it was better to miss out on something great than to risk getting hurt, so she chose to take the road less traveled by...right out of there. However, she didn't take into account that he would be at the mandatory group therapy sessions.
