Starving was a feeling Kalia was used to. Feeling hungry but not eating, causing yourself pain on purpose. She's slowly killing herself. Death by starvation would be shown on the autopsy report in a couple months if she continues on her current path.

Kalia doesn't care, she would be ecstatic if she died. Hell she would throw herself a party to celebrate it. She wants to die but she doesn't have the courage to put a blade to her wrist or to hang herself, or swallow over twenty pills to overdose.

And this is exactly why she was sent to Gotham's psych ward. Her family didn't want her to die, so they went against her wishes and sent her to the one place on Earth she doesn't want to go to. She would rather go to hell than the psych ward. Well she would probably go to hell once she dies if they let her die.

Hell she should probably sign a DNR so she can actually die if something happens. Her family would disapprove and be disappointed but fuck them. She's been a dead girl walking for years, it's finally time to pull the plug. At least that's what Kalia thought but then she met Jason Todd.

Well his alias at the time was Jason Wittmore who was brought in the psych ward due to psychotic episodes and tendencies. But despite that little issue, that Kalia sees no problem with, they started a fling.

They made a deal, if they both recover they pursue a relationship, if they don't recover they stay friends with benefits for as long as they're in the psych ward for. Unknown to Kalia, Jason wanted a relationship either way but knew Kalia didn't and wouldn't ever recover due to her behavior and suicidal ideation.

To Jason's and everyone's surprise Kalia grew attached to him, maybe a little too dependent on Jason. At least it was an improvement from her lone wolf persona. If only she hadn't become too attached to Jason then maybe her heart wouldn't have gotten broken at the end.
