Sitting beside one another in math class, Rosemary and Aphmau were working on a worksheet and a small groan left Aphmau's lips, causing the beta to look her way.

'Ughh.. math, great',Aphmau complained,'Just the subject I wanted to take after I eat'

Suddenly, a teacher burst in and broke the doors down, panting slightly.

'Students, class is canceled!'

Gasps filled the room and all of the students looked at the teacher in shock.

'What's the matter, teach?'

'Something horrible has happened!',The teacher exclaimed,'Not but a few moments ago, I had lost a very precious item that was so dear to me! It was.. my family's precious, antique heirloom button!'

Gasps filled the room and everyone began to freak out, feeling bad for the teacher.

No one could believe it, he had lost his families button.

'It has been in my family for generations!',The teacher freaked out,'I shouldn't have brought it to school, but I always wanted to keep it close to me! And now, it's gone!'

Loud cries left the teacher's lips and slowly, Aphmau stood up from her seat.

'Excuse me, sir?',Aphmau questioned and took the button out of her pocket, holding it up for the teacher to see,'Is.. this your button?'

A gasp of shock and happiness left the teachers lips and his eyes glistened with happiness as he stared at the button in her hands.

It was!

It was his button.

'Could it be!?'

'Is it she?'

Suddenly appearing in front of her desk, an expression of excitement and happiness formed on the teacher's face as he examined the button.

'You've found it!',He exclaimed,'Oh, thank you Aphmau! I can't believe this! You automatically pass math class forever!'

With her eyes glistening in excitement, a small squeal left Aphmau's lips and a bright smile formed on her face.

Suddenly, principal Leyla ran into the room and looked straight towards the girl in question.

'Aphmau!',She called out, causing the Raven-haired girl to turn her way,'For your heroic actions today, I declare that you automatically pass all of Highschool!'

Suddenly, all of the students began to cheer for the girl and congratulate her.

'I can't believe it! I did it!'

Tears filled Aphmau's eyes and she turned around as Rosemary stood up.

"You did it, Aphmau! You're the best sister anyone could ask for!"

Turning her head to the side, Aphmau saw Kai holding up a red flower and he smiled brightly up at her.

'Wow, Aphmau.. you looked really cute giving the teacher back that button',Kai stated.

With a gentle giggle, Aphmau looked towards Rosemary and watched as she smiled brightly, looking between the two.

"I accept this"

Suddenly, the teacher spoke up and Aphmau turned his way, a small hum of confusion left her lips.

'Princess Aphmau, I know you're busy winning at high school right now, but it's time to wake up!'

Confused by his words, a hum of curiosity left her lips and her world began to slowly go black.

Gently shaking her sister, Rosemary had tried to wake her up before the teacher had seen, but it was too late and he continuously called out her name.

Slowly opening her eyes, Aphmau shot up in her seat and looked around, trying to blink the sleep away.

'Huh? What?! I'm awake!'

Laughs filled the room as everyone student began to laugh and turning in her seat, a loud and angry snarl left Rosemary's lips causing all of the werewolves to slowly settle down.

'I hope you were at least counting sheep',The teacher spoke up.

Letting out a small scream of shock, Aphmau repeatedly apologized to the teacher and watched as Rosemary slowly shook her head as she looked away from the werewolves in the class.

'It's the first day so I'll excuse it, but anyone sleeping in my class will result in more math problems for homework',The teacher stated.

A collective amount of groans filled the room and everyone began to hope that later on, no one else fell asleep.

'Aww man, I can't believe that was just a dream',Aphmau muttered,'How embarrassing..'

And then she realized that it had to be a dream because Rosemary would've never accepted someone openly flirting with her.

Hearing the bell ring, everyone grabbed their books and stood up from their seats.

'Students, remember to check off your list of supplies before next class. I'll see you then, have a great day'

Walking out of class together, Rosemary and Aphmau walked down the hall, a small sigh leaving Aphmau's lips.

'I can't believe I fell asleep in class',Aphmau stated, before looking towards her sister,'Could I borrow your notes later, Rose?'

Letting out a small laugh, Rosemary agreed and shifted her arms, having her books rest on one arm as she placed her hand on Aphmau's shoulder.

"Of course, Aph"

Thanking her with a bright smile, the two walked towards the water fountain and Aphmau let out a small sigh.

'Alpha! Rosemary!'

Turning around, Rosemary saw Daniel, Rylan and Dottie walking their way, causing her to smile brightly, her tail wagging ecstatically as she saw her friends walking towards them.

But Aphmau didn't feel the same way.

'We saw you sleeping in class, Alpha',Dottie stated.

Laughing nervously, Aphmau cleared her throat and looked down, looking away from them.

'Oh.. umm, yeah'

'You must be great at math to have that confidence!',Rylan exclaimed.

Feeling a drop of sweat fall down her forehead, Aphmau turned around and looked between the three, a nervous smile on her face.

Actually, she wasn't that great at math and out of the two of them, Rosemary was the best at it.

'Actually.. I'm not that great at math',Aphmau explained, looking between Rosemary and the three in front of them,'It's not my greatest subject'

Feeling her ears fall back against her head, Dottie agreed with their alpha and nodded.

'Me too, it's really hard for me'

Hearing this, Daniel perked up and looked between everyone, a bright smile spreading across his lips.

'Oh, maybe we can do a study session together after school sometime?',Daniel suggested.

Agreeing with the idea, Dottie perked up and nodded, turning towards Rosemary with a bright smile.

'Yeah!',Rylan agreed,'Oh, speaking of after school, are you coming to the werewolf club after school today, alpha and beta?'

'That's right! Sign-ups end today!'

Nodding ecstatically, Rosemary smiled brightly and looked between the three werewolves, watching as they brightened at the news of their beta coming.

'I'll think about it',Aphmau said, laughing nervously.

With a bright smile, Daniel looked between Rosemary and Aphmau.

'We're all looking forward to seeing you there!'

'Yeah!'

Hearing the bell ring loudly overhead, Aphmau hurriedly said goodbye to the three and grabbed Rosemary's hand.

'That's the bell, better get to class! You guys should too!'

'Of course',Dottie said,'What class do you have next, Alpha? And how about you, Rose?'

With a confused look on her face, Aphmau explained that her and Rosemary were actually mentoring for the next forty-five minutes.

'That's great!',Daniel exclaimed, perking up as his tail began to wag quicker than before.

'We knew you were a leader!'

With a small drop of sweat falling down the side of her face, Aphmau laughed nervously and slowly shook her head.

'Actually, me and Rosemary's friend Teony asked us to join and—',Aphmau started.

Cutting their alpha off, Rylan spoke up and smiled at the girls.

'We won't be late mentor alpha-mau and mentor beta-mary',Rylan said.

Feeling her face fall into a deadpanned expression, Rosemary stared at the boy and watched as he looked towards her, his smile slowly falling as he nervously laughed.

Yeah.. it wasn't the best joke he had.

'No, that's not—!'

'See you later!'

Walking away, the three werewolves went to class and before he walked away, Daniel turned around and looked at Rosemary, giving her a small smile before walking off.

Feeling a small smile twitch at her lips, Rosemary's eyes softened and she watched her friend walk off, her tail slowly swaying from side to side as her heart fluttered, feeling as if a swarm of butterflies were flying around in her stomach.

Looking between the two, a small smile slowly spread across Aphmau's lips and seeing the time, she grabbed Rosemary's wrist and dragged her after her as she ran off.

Walking into the cafeteria, two girls slowly approached the two boys that were standing in front of them.

There was one boy with a light complexion paired with navy blue eyes and royal blue.

'Are you a mentor?'

Turning around, the boy hummed in curiosity and asked for them to repeat their question.

'We're lost, can you help us?'

'Hmm, what?',He questioned,'I'm sorry, I'm lost as well'

Curiosity filled their eyes and they looked towards the boy, their mouths parting slightly.

'You are?'

'Lost in your eyes'

Winking at the girls, Dante watched as they turned their heads and giggled slightly, their cheeks flushing in embarrassment.

Standing beside him, was a boy with slightly wavy, white hair with bangs across his forehead, deep emerald green eyes, and flush peach skin.

'You ladies look tired',Travis stated.

Looking towards the snowy-haired boy, the girls questioned him and asked if they actually did look tired.

'From running through my mind~',Travis flirted.

Commenting on how cute they were, the girls watched as two others walked up behind the boys as the blue-haired boy agreed with them.

Hearing someone clear their throat, the two boys turned around and an annoyed expression formed on Dante's face.

"These two may be cute, but they aren't actually mentors. They lied about that part"

'Huh!? Who are you supposed to b—'

Seeing Rosemary and Aphmau standing behind them, Dante's eyes widened and his mouth immediately slammed shut as red eyes glared in his direction.

He had almost made a terrible mistake.

'I'm sorry to interrupt here, but if you ladies need any help, two mentors are here to serve!',Aphmau stated.

Letting out a nervous laugh, Dante looked between the two girls and felt a small drop of sweat glide down the side of his face.

'Oh, it's Aphmau and Rosemary!',Dante exclaimed and gave the two an apologetic smile,'Sorry, I didn't see you there, shorties'

Hearing Dante calling her short, Rosemary let out a feral growl and ran towards the blue-haired boy, causing his eyes to widen as he let out a loud scream of terror, running out of the cafeteria with the beta hot on his tail.

"Who do you think you're calling short, pervert!? You're so dead, Dante!"

'Wait, Rose— no, I'm sorry! I didn't mean— AHHHH!'

Watching as his not-alone buddy ran after his friend, Travis felt a drop of sweat fall down the side of his face and the two girls looked between him and the girl chasing after the ocean haired boy.

'Are you mentors? But these guys said they were'

Letting out a groan of aggravation, Aphmau pointed towards the golden band around her arm and explained that all mentors had a golden sash.

Suddenly, a loud scream echoed throughout the school and the four students froze, waiting a few moments.

Walking back into the cafeteria, Rosemary wiped off her hands as if dust coated her skin and a small smirk was plastered on her face as she walked towards them.

'Now then, if you'd please follow us'

As the four girls walked away, Dante slowly walked back into the cafeteria and groaned lowly, catching Travis's attention.

Seeing the light reddish outline of a handprint on his friends cheek, Travis guessed that Rosemary had slapped him and most likely hit him upside the head since he was rubbing it for a moment with a pained look on his face.

He could tell that she didn't slap him too hard since they were still friends and he's a human, but Travis also knew that it must've stung quite a bit.

He was just glad that his not-alone buddy didn't come after him, then again, he didn't call her short.

Showing the girls where they got their food, the two watched as they looked at them gratefully.

'Thank you so much, we were starving!'

With small laughs, Rosemary and Aphmau reassured the girls that it was no trouble at all and if they had any questions to ask them, but not Travis or Dante.

As Aphmau tried to tell them that they should be worrying about their schoolwork and not boys, the girls attentions were immediately grabbed as Laurence and Garroth walked into the cafeteria.

'They're so cute!'

'They're dreamy'

Looking towards Garroth and Laurence, Rosemary rolled her eyes and slowly shook her head.

Sure they were cute, but she wasn't throwing herself at them and fan-girling like half of the girls in the school.

Walking off to help other people, Rosemary and Aphmau helped about three students, before they walked to class.

Arriving in front of the gym, Rosemary and Aphmau walked in, letting out sighs of relief as they sat down.

It was nice to help out, but it did tire them out.

As they sat at the bleachers, the two didn't notice the two students sitting behind them and they looked around, seeing that they didn't know anyone else.

'Ughh.. once again there's no one we know'

Suddenly, a very familiar voice spoke up and Rosemary's fur immediately bristled as a low growl escaped her, her lips twitching up to reveal her sharp canines.

'Are you sure about that, Kitty? Rosie?'

Recognizing those voices, the two slowly turned around and looked up, seeing two very familiar faces.

Rosemary wished that she could throw herself through the window right about now.

'You've gotta be kidding me!'

There above them sat Sasha and Zenix.

'Well, well, looks like we have the same class',Sasha stated.

Looking between the two, a small smirk spread across Zenix's lips and his red eyes stared the two down.

'What are you guys doing here?!',Aphmau exclaimed.

Feeling her face deadpan, Rosemary lifted her hand and smacked it to her forehead, a low grumble leaving her lips.

"Aphmau.."

As if it were the most obvious thing in the world, which it was, Sasha spoke up and said the exact thing Rosemary was thinking.

'Because we have this class, duh',Sasha stated.

'Right',Zenix said, before asking sarcastically,'We're not allowed to be here?'

Feeling aggravation fill her veins, Rosemary rolled her eyes and turned away from the two, her fur bristling in anger.

'No, it's not that! I—'

'Now that you're a mentor, you're too good for us, Kitty?',Zenix questioned.

Seeing the way Rosemary's fur bristled, Zenix wanted to run away as far as he could, but he stayed where he was and instead, smirked down at the girls.

A small groan left Aphmau's lips and she slowly shook her head.

'You guys are annoying already',Aphmau stated,'We're moving somewhere else'

"You guys have been annoying enough for one day"

Gently grabbing Rosemary's hand in her own, Aphmau stood up and the two slowly began to walk away from the two Shadow Knights.

'Aww, but you were finally sitting with the cool kids',Zenix said, a small groan leaving his lips as he teased the two.

"Since when did you become cool?"

'Mrow, kitty's got claws and Rosie's got some thorns!',Sasha teased, laughing.

Moving to a different bleacher, the two walked up and sat down on the second row from the top, looking towards the entrance of the gym.

Neither of them noticed the very familiar boy sitting across from them just a row higher.

'Those guys are jerks',Aphmau stated.

"Try having one of them ask you out",Rosemary stated and shivered slightly, a disgusted look on her face.

Rosemary loved Sasha so Aphmau knew that it wasn't her and knowing just who it was, caused her face to scrunch up.

'Zenix!?'

Watching as her sister nodded, the twins shuddered in unison and shook their heads.

It wasn't like Zenix wasn't good-looking or anything like that, it was just that with how he was, the two knew that it wouldn't work out and Rosemary would more than likely throw herself through the window.

A small gasp of shock filled Rosemary's ears, causing the right one to twitch and hearing someone call out to them, the girls went to turn around.

'H-Hey-!'

As the gym teacher walked in, everyone's gaze snapped towards him and they all paid close attention.

'Alright students let me have your attention! My name is Mr. Arnold, I'll be one of your gym teachers this year',Mr. Arnold explained,'And when I mean one, I mean this class will rotate gym teachers every now and then. A new program the principal has put in, like frankly, if you ask me it's a stupid program. But whatever, I'm the gym teacher so I don't make the rules. Personally, I think that having students with one teacher makes class more comfortable. You will receive your gym uniform today and then you guys can go about the gym and talk or text or snapchatting or whatever. It's a free first day, but if I see those phones out after today, they're gonna be mine! Trust me, I could use a new phone'

Holding her phone closer to her, Rosemary's eyes narrowed at the teacher and she slowly shook her head.

He wasn't keeping her phone, not over her dead body.

'Now, come get your uniforms and fill out this questionnaire',Mr. Arnold explained,'And then you can have your mingle time, but don't ever say that I didn't do anything for you. Come on, let's go!'

Standing up from their seats, Rosemary and Aphmau walked down the bleachers, as they stood up the werewolf tried to talk to them.

But seeing that they were walking away, a small groan left his lips and he stood up from his seat.

Sitting on the floor beside Aphmau, Rosemary looked around the gym and watched everyone either talk or play basketball.

'This is just my luck',Aphmau spoke up, causing her sister to turn her way,'There's no way I can be in the same class as the Shadow Knights. Maybe we should transfer classes, Rose'

"If we did then, they'd more than likely just transfer into that class just to annoy us"

Letting out a groan of frustration, the twins looked up as Sasha and Zenix walked up to them.

'So, Kitty, Rosie, mind if we get a picture?',Zenix questioned.

Confused as to why they were asking, Rosemary tilted her head and felt her eyebrows pull together.

It was clear that her and Aphmau were feeling the same way.

'For what?'

A small smirk formed on Sasha's face and she slowly looked towards Rosemary, her eyes gleaming with mischief as she looked at her friend.

Well, they were somewhat friends.

'For Gene~',She stated.

Watching as Rosemary tensed up and slowly looked towards the ground, Aphmau stepped forward and furrowed her eyebrows.

'What?',Aphmau questioned,'Why?'

While her and the Shadow Knights had history, Rosemary had known them longer and hearing about Gene caused her to freeze and think back.

'He's been missing you',Sasha said.

But the two knew exactly who she was directing that to.

Only the shadow knights and Aphmau knew this, but Gene used to have the biggest crush on Rosemary and while Rosemary had liked him back, she refused his advances and shut him out.

She knew that he would hurt her one way or another and she wasn't going to risk that.

Ever since then, Gene kept his crush on the girl a secret and only Sasha, Rosemary, Aphmau and Zenix knew about it.

'Get lost',Aphmau snapped, brushing her hand against Rosemary's to try and calm her,'We're not taking your stupid picture'

A fake pout formed on Sasha's face and her lip pushed out as she slowly shook her head.

'Aww, but we could totes do a selfie',Sasha whined.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Rosemary stepped forward and let out a short growl, her fur bristling with anger.

"She said no, guys",Rosemary snapped,"Now get lost"

With a small frown on his face, Zenix looked between the two and slowly looked down.

'I see..',Zenix said and then, looked towards Sasha,'You were right Sasha, Kitty has claws and Rosie does have thorns'

Turning back towards them, Zenix smirked as Sasha slowly pulled out her phone.

'Either way, I'm sure you can snap a picture of the wall behind Kitty and Rosie',Zenix suggested,'If Kitty and Rosie get in the way, then that's their fault'

'You're right!'

Agreeing with him, Sasha lifted the phone and prepared to take the picture.

Suddenly, the werewolf from before slid in front of Aphmau just as Rosemary jumped at the Shadow Knights, her mouth opened in a snarl and the light flashed as Sasha took the picture, the two stepping away as the beta snarled at them.

There in the phone was a picture of the werewolf turning towards them in surprise, completely blocking Aphmau from view and Rosemary was jumping at them, her fangs bared as her mouth hung open in an aggressive way, her eyes gleaming a brilliant electric blue.

Which confused the Shadow Knights greatly since Rosemary had red eyes.

'Huh?'

'What the-!?'

Turning around, a confused look was on the werewolves face and the two shadow knights groaned in protest.

'Seriously?',Sasha questioned.

'Calling your werewolf buddies, huh?',Zenix stated, looking between Rosemary and Aphmau,'I see how it is. Well played, Kitty, Rosie. We'll meet again'

Turning around, the two walked off leaving Rosemary and Aphmau with the werewolf.

Letting out a small growl, Rosemary turned around and looked at the werewolf, watching as he looked between the two with an apologetic look.

'I'm sorry, was I interrupting something?',He questioned.

Recognizing him, a small smile formed on Aphmau's face.

'Hey, it's you',Aphmau said.

A small and awkward hum left the werewolf and he slowly looked between them.

'Ughh.. yeah'

The last time they had talked was when he had given the alpha her phone back and even then, the beta was in a really bad mood.

'Thank you for doing that, we appreciate it',Aphmau said.

Rolling her eyes, Rosemary looked to the side and slowly mumbled an agreement.

Even though she was about to attack the two Shadow Knights and make them leave them alone.

Confused as to what they were grateful for, he tilted his head to the side and furrowed his eyebrows together.

'Doing what?',He questioned.

Even though she knew he was the omega, her job was to protect her alpha and if she wanted to befriend the omega, then so be it.

'You mean, you didn't—',Aphmau cut herself off and let out a small laugh,'Nevermind, just know that you showed up at the right time and stopped someone from getting attacked'

But she was going to keep a very close eye on him.

'Well.. whatever I did, you're welcome',He stated.

Staring at the omega for a while, Rosemary knew that he had looked familiar and if only she could remember where she knew him from, she could hopefully make this feeling of suspicion go away.

'Are you here for something?',Aphmau asked.

Perking up at the question, his ears perked up as well and his steel grey eyes looked between the two.

'Oh, I guess I'm in the same class as you two',He stated.

With her eyes widening, Aphmau's mouth dropped and her eyebrows rose.

'You are?',She questioned,'I didn't even notice'

While other wolves treated the omega differently, she knew that the alpha's were usually the only ones that treated them with kindness.

'Yeah.. I get that a lot',He stated, looking to the side.

'Gonna tell me that I'm a bad mentor for not noticing?'

Immediately snapping his gaze in her direction, the werewolf quickly shook his head and gave Aphmau a reassuring smile, before a small blush flushed across his cheeks.

'N-No.. you just have bad eyes is all',He stated,'You know, for a werewolf'

Seeing and hearing this, Rosemary's eyes narrowed and a low growl left her.

A nervous laugh left Aphmau's mouth and when she went to correct him, a small sigh escaped her lips.

'You know what, forget it',Aphmau sighed,'I'm way too tired to deal with that'

Letting out a hum of curiosity, the werewolf tilted his head and furrowed his eyebrows.

'Oh.. c-can I sit with you two?',He questioned, his ears pulling back as he glanced between the two.

With a suspicious look on her face, Rosemary slowly shook her head to clear her thoughts and sat down on the floor, with Aphmau sitting right beside her.

Why they didn't just sit on the bleachers right behind them, she had no idea.

Sitting down across from them, the werewolf slowly glanced between the two and sent them a nervous smile.

'I was going to ask you, are you going to join werewolf club after school?',He questioned.

Watching as the beta nodded, he slowly looked towards the alpha female and watched as she slowly looked down.

'Why are you asking?'

'Because there were rumors going around that you aren't in werewolf class and you're not even joining the club'

With a curious look on her face, Aphmau didn't see the point he was making.

'So?',Aphmau questioned,'What if I'm not?'

Feeling her ears slowly flatten against her head, Rosemary's tail came to stop and slowly lowered to the ground, her smile fading.

'Do you not feel a sense of responsibility for your title?',He questioned,'It's an honor to have it'

'I didn't ask for this',Aphmau stated.

Knowing what this would come to, Rosemary slowly looked away and felt her heart clench at the thought.

Her alpha didn't want anything to do with them.

'Then how did you get it?',He questioned.

'By mistake!'

Feeling a look of disbelief cover his face, he looked towards the beta female and seeing her disheartened look, he turned his gaze back towards the alpha female.

'That doesn't just happen!'

No matter how strong and aggressive you were, hearing your alpha rejecting their role caused a great pain to every werewolf.

Watching as she stood to her feet, the werewolf slowly stood up as well and glanced at the beta female as she stood up too.

'Why are you getting riled up!?'

'Because you are!'

'Are you challenging me?!'

A deep and threatening growl rose up Rosemary's throat and she took a step closer, her fur bristling causing the boy to step back.

'No way, I—'

Hearing that it was way to quiet, the three turned their heads and saw everyone looking straight at them, causing sweat to slowly roll down the sides of their faces.

Slowly sitting down, the three blushed in embarrassment and watched as everyone began to go back to what they were doing.

'Is this because you want to be alpha?',Aphmau questioned.

Watching as the beta female turned his way with a bone chilling glare, he quickly shook his head and gulped.

'What!? No, way, I—',The werewolf said and let out a sigh, his face burning red as he let out a groan.

'This is just a lot to take in and I don't feel that I deserve this title',Aphmau stated.

Looking towards their alpha, the two werewolves began to feel sympathy for her and Rosemary reached forward, placing her hand on her twins shoulder.

Turning her way, Aphmau saw the gentle look in her eyes and she slowly calmed down, giving her a small smile.

'Look, I'm sorry I got worked up but it doesn't matter how you got the title',The werewolf explained, causing Aphmau to let out a small hum and Rosemary let out a sigh knowing that it wasn't going to work since she had already tried,'Being alpha is a big thing in werewolf culture, you know that. It's not my business, but to see someone who doesn't want the title, give it up so easily.. kind of hurts I guess'

Watching as the alpha slowly looked towards someone, the werewolf turned his head and looked towards the beta, watching as she slowly looked towards the ground.

Maybe she had said something similar.

'The title is yours to do what you want with it and I know it can be kind of scary, but I think if you put your mind to it, you could do it',The werewolf explained,'But you know.. that's just my opinion. It's clear to me that the beta female has already told you the same thing and if she can't get through to you.. then there's no chance I will either'

Letting out a small laugh, Aphmau looked towards Rosemary and gave her the softest look she'd ever given her, causing Rosemary to tilt her head in confusion.

'Heh.. thanks',Aphmau said, looking between them with a soft smile,'The both of you..'

Standing up just as the bell rang, Aphmau held out her hand and helped her sister to her feet, watching as the werewolf stood up as well.

'Maybe I'll see you two after school then?',He questioned.

Tilting her head to the side, Rosemary began to wonder something and began to question everything.

She knew that he was the omega, but would it be a bad thing to befriend him?

Albeit she may be looked at differently by the other werewolves, but it wasn't uncommon for a beta.
