The cafeteria bustled with life as the two mentors led the freshman, Kasey, to the doorway and his cerulean blue eyes glanced around, looking over the students that sat at tables.

'Tada!',Aphmau cheered ecstatically, her eyes shinning with excitement.

Suddenly the heartbeat got increased and he was shocked, he wasn't able to move even, it was something like explosion of energy within and what could he do just to witness this shocked moment. It was completely new, unaware and moreover it was strange, and powerful.

His mouth dropped open, like a fish out of water, and he was thunderstruck by the beauty of the large room.

'Whoa...',The boy breathed out,'This is so much bigger than the lunch room in the middle school'

As Rosemary's lips parted, she shocked the boy by letting loose an unrestrained, blissful, bright, bubbly, joyous, and raucous laugh as she turned his way, her beautiful crimson eyes lighting up with joy.

"It is",Rosemary chuckled.

Letting out a small laugh from beside her, Aphmau turned her eyes towards the boy.

'And there's a lot to choose from for lunch',She explained.

The furry ears upon the girl's head twitched at the sound of footsteps making their way towards them and turning around, the girl's eyes brightened at what she saw.

There stood a boy with bleach blond hair that flows the right, cerulean eyes, and tan skin that 'radiates like the sun'. Like everyone else, he wore a school uniform which consisted of a white undershirt with a dark blue over shirt with a lighter blue tie and to pair with all together, he wore dark grey pants and black shoes.

'Hey, Aphmau, Rosemary!'

"Garroth!"

Shooting forward with astonishing speed, the werewolf looked like nothing but a blur as she rushed forward, throwing her arms around his torso.

Stumbling back in surprise, a light chuckle left his lips at the affection the so called, "terrifying beta who could kill anyone", was displaying and almost fell over from the impact.

Even though it was a hug of affection and he wanted so badly to hug the girl back, Garroth's arms were tightly pinned to his sides and it felt as if his ribs were about to snap.

He was so shocked by the strength of the hug, that all he could do was lift up one of his arms and wrap it around her.

'G-Garroth!',Aphmau stuttered and blinked in shock,'H-Hey!'

A flush crept across her cheeks and she froze in place, swallowing lightly as her ears turned red. Tucking her arms at her side, Aphmau felt her voice shake and crack as she spoke up.

'It's great to see you both',Garroth stated, that same flirty tone in his voice.

There was no attraction towards Rosemary as he had viewed the girl as a sister. But Aphmau..

When the boy looked at her, all he could feel was a fluttering within his chest and a fire burning deep in his soul.

'Great to see you too, Garroth!',Aphmau stated,'How was baseball camp?'

'It was great',Garroth explained,'Though I've got to admit, I missed out on a lot of relaxing over the summer'

Letting out a small giggle, Aphmau nodded in understanding and gently shook her head.

'Still',The raven haired girl chuckled out.

Seeing the person out of the corner of his eye, Garroth turned and locked eyes with the freshman, his eyebrows pulling together in confusion and curiosity.

'Is this your friend?',Garroth questioned.

Turning their gazes towards Kasey, Aphmau and Rosemary nodded ecstatically, bright smiles on their lips.

Letting go of Garroth, she just looked at him for a second, her crimson eyes shifting back and forth, her hair plastered around her face before she looked back at her freshman friend.

'Oh, right!',Aphmau exclaimed, before introducing the two,'Kasey, Garroth. Garroth, Kasey'

Stuttering out a response, Kasey shifted closer to Aphmau and anxiously shifted his eyes from the floor to Garroth and back.

'H-Hi',He stuttered out.

'Today's Kasey's first day here and guess what, he's Katelyn's little brother!',Aphmau exclaimed.

With a look of shock on his face, Garroth looked back towards the freshman and looked him over, kind of seeing the resemblance between the two.

'Really?',Garroth questioned, his voice full of shock,'I thought he looked familiar. It's nice to meet you, man'

Anxiously, Kasey shifted from one foot to the other and gently nodded his head.

'N-nice to meet you too'

Suddenly remembering something, Garroth let out a gasp of revelation and looked between the twin sister's.

'I've got to get going',Garroth stated and began to walk away,'Laurence and I are setting up for Club Fair orientation'

Remembering her other flirty friend, Rosemary perked up and eyes of crimson swiftly glanced around as she looked for the boy, hoping that he was around somewhere.

Noticing her search, Aphmau left out a small giggle and decided to speak up.

'Tell Laurence that we said hi!',Aphmau called out.

"And give him a big hug for me!",Rosemary called out.

Letting out a chuckle of amusement, Garroth shook his head and stared at the red eyed beta female, giving her a small smile.

'Do that yourself',Garroth told her,'He's been looking forward to seeing the two of you again'

Perking up with excitement, Rosemary's tail ecstatically swished back and forth, it swung so quickly that it was nothing but a blur of color.

Her tail was the same color as her ears, but it had a mix of a deep, chocolate brown fur, a beautiful caramel and a magnificent shade of raven black, in one.

'Fine, we'll do it then',Aphmau exclaimed, letting out a small giggle at the excitement of her sister,'See you later!'

Walking by, a boy with dark hair bumped into Kasey and caused the boy to fall to the ground, a small groan leaving his lips.

'Watch it, freshman'

Hearing the noise, the fur on her tail and ears bristled as she whirled around and a low growl left Rosemary's lips, but seeing who stood there, a huff left her lips as she rolled her vermillion eyes in annoyance.

A boy with hickory-colored hair and dark red eye contacts, looked down at Kasey with a scowl on his lips.

She knew exactly who he was. He was an asocial, hot-headed; and often comes across as violent, person, but he was all bark and no bite.

But his loud, abrasive yelling was usually all it took to scare someone away; but had no effect on the beta.

If anything, he annoyed her to no end.

And coming up to stand beside him, was Sasha.

She had long, wavy light gray hair, which was paired with violet eyes and a pale complexion. Her school uniform consisted of a short-sleeved white shirt with blue buttons and a blue bow around the shirt collar, as well as a light gray pleated skirt, white ankle socks and black shoes.

She was a calm and collective person, but she had a sarcastic undertone and was an overall quiet girl.

'I- I didn't mean to',Kasey stuttered out.

'Wow',The girl dragged out,'No even an "I'm sorry". How rude'

With a huff of annoyance, Rosemary shook her head and stared the two down with a heated stare, her crimson eyes glowing with loathing.

'Watch where you're going',Zenix spat,'You don't want to mess with the leaders of the Shadow Knights, do ya?'

Despite her, Gene and Sasha being somewhat of friends, it annoyed her to no end on how they frequently bullied others.

And she despised bullies.

"Oh no, whatever will we do?",Rosemary questioned sarcastically,"Please forgive us"

Turning their gazes towards the voice, Zenix and Sasha's eyes shone with recognition; haven not seen the girl since last year, they were kind of glad to see her.

Well, Sasha was more than Zenix.

He still remembered what she did, he even had the bruise to remember it.

'Ahh, why hello there, Rosie',Zenix said, a teasing tone in his voice,'Kitty'

A low sound; that reminded them of a waterfall, or earthquake, left the beta's lips and the two Shadow Knights felt a shiver run down their spine; it felt like icy water was poured down their backs.

The sound was deep and menacing, it spoke of power and primal savagery.

'Call us by our actual names',Aphmau snapped,'Now, you guys move along and leave our friend alone. He doesn't need any trouble from you guys'

A tsk left Zenix's lips and as he went to spit something back, eyes filled with a venomous dare locked onto him and he backed down, shaking his head with a scoff.

'You're lucky this time, freshman',Zenix stated, before glancing back up at the beta and shivered as he realized she was still glaring their way.

Slowly backing away, Zenix kept his eyes on the three and Sasha rolled her eyes, following after him.

But not before she looked back at Rosemary and sent the girl a playful, flirtatious wink.

Raising an eyebrow, the beta slowly shook her head and turned back towards her sister and Kasey.

'Who on earth were they?',Kasey questioned, his eyes switching between them and looked for answers.

'They're a small gang called "The Shadow Knights".',Aphmau explained,'Since their original leader graduated, they've been acting tough but I think that it's all an act. Either way, don't get involved with them'

With a frown, Rosemary's vermilion eyes looked towards where Sasha had walked away and sighed.

Sasha wasn't a bad person; well sometimes, she was just caught up in some bad things.

'Oh.. okay',Kasey agreed,'Um.. so, where do I go to start class, or whatever'

Immediately perking up, the twins snapped into their mentor modes and looked at Kasey.

"Do you have a schedule by any chance?",Rosemary questioned.

Taking his bag off of his shoulder, Kasey opened the zipper and started fishing around, causing Rosemary's left ear to twitch at the sound of papers and pencils being pushed around as he rummaged through his bag.

Pulling out a slightly crumpled piece of paper, Kasey handed it to Aphmau and she scanned it over with calculating eyes as Rosemary looked over her shoulder, looking over the classes.

'Ah, perfect!',Aphmau exclaimed, handing the piece of paper back as her and Rosemary finished analyzing everything,'This way'

Standing outside of Room 202, Aphmau and Rosemary came to a halting stop, turning towards Kasey; who looked at them expectantly.

"And here we are!",Rosemary exclaimed, throwing her arms out and gestured towards the classroom with a toothy grin; her fangs poking at her bottom lip.

With a small smile at her sister, Aphmau looked at Kasey and grinned at her sister's toothy smile.

Last year, every time the two had walked through the halls together, werewolves left and right questioned how the two were related, constantly asking how Rosemary was a werewolf and Aphmau was human.

The two honestly had no idea how Aphmau was human and Rosemary wasn't, they had no clue who their father was and the moment Rosemary was born, their mother constantly freaked out over her ears and tail, fangirling over the fluffiness of them.

But Rosemary constantly reminded her mother how sensitive a werewolves ears were and so, Sylvanna kept the petting of her ears to a minimum.

'Thank you so much!',Kasey thanked them,'Honestly, I would've walked back home if it wasn't for you two'

With gentle smiles, Aphmau and Rosemary let out small chuckles, their eyes glistening.

'Not a problem',Aphmau stated, a small giggle leaving her lips,'We're just glad that we could help'

'More than you know',Kasey told them,'So.. I just go in and wait for class to start?'

Looking at each other, Rosemary watched as Aphmau shrugged, before looking back at Kasey.

"If you want to, I don't see a problem with it",Rosemary said, before handing him the mentoring book she had gotten,"It should also help you to understand more about the school"

Thanking the two, Kasey explained his appreciation and walked into the classroom, but sent the sister's one last glance.
