"Honey."

"Hm?"

Yugi's mother was just texting an email to one of her clients before her husband came to meet her.

"You came home pretty late today. Aren't you worried about Yugi?"

"It's alright. He's stronger than he looks. And he understands how busy my work is. Unlike you."

Yugi's father narrowed his eyes at the tone that his wife had given him before both of them entered the elevator together. Once the door open, the couple made their way to their apartment.

"Yugi, we're back!"

Yugi's father made sure to close the door tight, while the mother took off her shoes and made her way towards Yugi's bedroom.

"Yugi? Is he still asleep?"

Yugi's mother took hold of the handle and turn it.

"Yugi?"

Yugi's mother opened the door open and let herself in. However, she was then shocked and horrified at what she saw in front of her.

Two teenage boys are laying in the same bed, wrapped around in Yugi's blanket, while the other wrapped his arms around Yugi in a protective form.

"Gah!"

"Now, what is going on here-Oh my god what the-!?"

The parent's stood there like statues before Yami began to wake up from the sudden noise. Blinking, he finally took noticed of two young adults that are inside Yugi's bedroom. Then realized who they are.

"Oh! You guys must be Yugi's parents. Please to meet you."

Yami smiled before bowing.

The parents stare before the father said, "What the heck...It's all your fault. Only caring about work and not keeping an eye on Yugi."

"What? You're blaming this on me?! Who's thought that he actually brought a guy home when we were away. For one thing, they might just be friends."

"Yeah right! Aren't you out busy with work most of the year as well?

"I can't help with that! I'm a business woman so I can't always be at home."

"Ummm....We didn't do anything that-" Yami was trying to say something, but got cut off by Yugi's father.

"A mother's first priority should be taking care of the child!"

"Your assumption about women and wives are outdated!"

Yami couldn't believe what he is hearing right now. All this time. Yugi's parents have been leaving Yugi alone for this long? This is starting to make Yami feel really pissed off.

"ENOUGH ALREADY! BOTH OF YOU, OUT!"

THROWING THEM OUT

"How can you just leave your sick son over there and keep on arguing?! If you have time to bicker, then care for Yugi a bit more!"

Yami glared at the parents angrily.

'For Ra sakes! These two act like children!'

"Uh..Huh?"

Yugi slowly rises up from his bed and touched his forehead. Feeling a lot better than before

'The fever's gone now.'

Unfortunately, he had no memory of what had happened all day.

"Was that a dream....?"

He heard voices downstairs and began making his way down.

"It sounds like my parents came back home. But who are they taking to?"

Yugi opened the door a little bit that leads to the living room and was surprised to find Yami in there. With his parents?!

'Y-Yami-kun.....!?'

"You really think that everything is fine? Just because Yugi didn't say anything out loud?!"

'What the-!? What is he-?'

"Yugi is a very thoughtful and considerate boy who always cares for other peoples' feelings! It's not just today...there must've been plenty of times. When he was being considerate of your work. That he didn't say anything no matter how lonely he felt!"

Yugi gasped and blushed at Yami's declaration. Tears starting to well up in the corner of his eyes. His parents listened but gave no words to his remark. They were speechless.

"Making him stay alone at home for so long. Of course, he would get scared. Watching his parents always bickering.....of course, he would feel very sad. Even if you guys just cared for him a little more....because Yugi is the kind of boy who would experience great joy from even the smallest extra kindness and care. So at least, when he's sick...give him a little more love and care...."

Yami bows before them. And in a desperate tone. He said.

"Please."

Yugi's thoughts:

All the feelings that I kept to myself.....

He said all of them out loud....

He conveyed all my feelings to them.

"Just who are-?"

"Ah, I forgot to introduce myself."

Yami salutes before claiming, "I'm a second year from Domino Middle School's Basketball team....Yami Sennen. And Yugi and I are dating!"

"WHAT!?"

BLUSH

"Ah, but no need to worry. Although we are going out, we haven't done anything besides kissing."

Yugi's thoughts:

KYAH! Yami-kun's being way too honest here!

Yugi snapped out his thoughts to listen further of what he want to say next.

"In a few more years....I'll definitely take Yugi as my fiancé! Nice to meet you both!"

Yugi's thoughts:

Did he said what I think he said!?

Fiancé!?

"You guys only have a few more years left to care and spend time with Yugi. If you don't give him more love now; don't regret it in the future!"

Yami grinned before making his way to the door. However, just when he was about to leave he quickly said, "That's all I have to say for now... future mom and dad-in-law."

STARSTRUCKED

"Hey, wait! Don't just act as if you're part of our family already!"

IGNORED

"I'll come visit again tomorrow, dad-in-law! Bye!"

"Don't call me that!"

That's when Yami left the building.

Complete devotion, honesty with no hesitation....

Yugi stood there. Absorbing the words that his love had spoken out from the very core of his heart. He felt his heart pounding. All because of Yami's kindness and the ways he always made sure that no matter what; Yugi is never alone.

He made his decision.

Yugi quickly ran back upstairs, then towards his room. He quickly moves the curtains away and saw a glimpse of Yami running through the night.

'I have to tell him.....'

Yugi quickly unlocks the windows.

'My feelings!'

"Yami-kun!"

Yami stopped when he heard Yugi's voice. He turns around to see Yugi up on the balcony. The gentle breeze came just in time to make Yugi's hair move against the wind. Eyes that shines so beautifully when the post lights below reflect them.

"I-I...I also..."

Yugi blushed, but cupped his hands around his mouth and shouted, "I ALSO WANT YOU TO BE MY FIANCE!"

Yami blushed. Not because he was worried that Yugi practically declared his love out in public, at night! But to hear those words coming from Yugi's lips made his heart racing.

He was so distracted that he didn't realize that he ran against the light pole. Yugi called out if he was okay, and Yami replied, "Y-Yes!"

Yugi has to admit, it was actually quite funny that he couldn't stop himself from laughing. Yami continues to stare at Yugi's playful laugh before he smiled.

You're the only one in my eyes, Yugi.

I will always treasure these moments with you, Yami.
