"I will now take the opportunity to introduce myself properly for the left 42 applicants," the Chairman proposed to the remaining Exam Applicants. Including me.

After we finished Phase 2, and eaten our Spider-Eagle eggs, we were brought to the airship again. We now stood in a nice looking hall.

"I'm Netero, the Chairman of the selection committee, for this years Hunter Exam! It is a pleasure to meet all of you," he said.

"And I'm his secretary Beans!" The green jelly guy from before said.

Netero began talking again. "I had originally planned to make my appearance due to Exams final Phase, but well seeing it's how I'm already here..."

Some tension escaped the air.

"I have to admit there's nothing I love more then this feeling of tension in the air," Netero said as I blankly stared at him. Huh. "So I think I'll stick around (*Killua yawned*) for the remainder of the trip," he finished while laughing. Well this guy sure is nice, I thought. If he wasn't a pervert that is.

"We are scheduled to arrive at our destination, tomorrow morning at 08.00 of clock am exactly!" Beans instructed us. "You'll find dinner waiting for you in the dining hall. You're also welcome to get some rest of course," he added. "Your free to do whatever you want want until we contact you. The evening is yours."

"Hey cmon Annya, Gon let's go explore the airship!" Killua happily exclaimed. I cheerfully smiled.

"Yeah!" Gon almost yelled as we three ran out.

"That's so much energy... not me tho, all I wanna do is crash..." I heard as Leorio whined, Kurapika agreeing with him.

"So, how many applicants do you think will make it this year?" Menchi asked sitting with Buhara and Satotz- the other two examiners in a small dinner hall, enjoying marvellous food.

"You mean, who'll pass the Exam?" Buhara asked.

"Yep," Menchi smiled. "Looks like we have a pretty impressive group here," she said. "Thought I failed almost all of them... but still!

"Gee, I don't know! I guess it depends on what the other phases are," Buhara answered.

"That's a good point, I haven't thought of that," she said, eating. "But a few of them stand out, didn't you notice? And two of them, seem to have this all aura thing going on!" She swallowed a delicious bite and looked over at Satotz. "What do you think, Satotz?"

Satotz stopped eating and put his fork and knife away. "I'm inclined to agree, I quite like the rookies this year." He said narrowing his head to the ceiling.

"Yea, same here!" Menchi cheered. "And specially number 31 and number 294, I really think they've gotta a good shot at winning," she clinched. (31-Annya, 294-Hanzo the ninja)

"I'm partial to number 99, myself!" Satotz agreed. (99-Killua)

"He looks like a spoiled, selfish brat to me," Menchi teased. She then turned to the huge guy. "What about you Buhara?"

"Who I think will pass?" He asked dramatically. "Well he's not a rookie, but my moneys on, number 44," he exclaimed. (44-Hisoka). "I'm sure you guys noticed it too. Number 225 was throwing a fit, 44 was the one that looked like he wanted to kill someone!" He explained. "He had this cold blood attempt bloodlust," Buhara finished.

"Of course I noticed it, how can I not? It looked like he could barely restrain himself from," Menchi stated. "Hold on didn't you realise? He's been like that ever since we showed up! I've had a bad feeling about it, this whooole time," Menchi made a conclusion.

"Really?" Buhara asked.

"Yeah," Menchi stated. "He's the real reason I was so edgy during the Exam," she mumbled out loud. "I mean, he kept trying to pick a fight with me!"

"I had a similar experience," Satotz confessed bringing a cup to his... "He should be carefully motived. Though it pains me to admit this, I feel we are all birds of a feather with him. But his affinity for darkness is infinitely stronger than ours," he said his moustache moving. "We Hunters, as you now are seeking out new rivals. And the Hunter Exam has no shortness for appointments. Each perfectly qualified and worthy of respect. And every now and then we encounter someone. Someone who chooses to search forward when your eye would go up for the breaks."

\\Annya (POV)\\

I watched as Killua and Gon where kicked out of the kitchen they sneaked in just moments ago.

"Go eat in the dinning hall, with the others!" One of the chefs shouted at them as he carried them out by their collars.

They both sat on the ground with their meat-bones. I sight while walking from behind them and slapping both of their heads.

"Why can't you just eat at the hall?" I asked while we started going around the air ship.

"Why can't you stop complaining about it?" Killua shot back.

"Because I'm concerned," I answered my hands on both their shoulders. "And most of the time I have to take care of you, so you wouldn't die." I said Killua giving me a glance.

"You, don't have to care, we can take care of ourselves," Gon said trying to make me feel better.

"But I want to care!" I whined as they both sight in defeat.

We sat next to a window of the airship and looked out to the dark sky. I rested my head on my arms as I nuzzled my face.

"Awesome!" I heard Killua say. "Annya, look up!"

"What is it..?" I asked my voice cracking a little.

I slowly lifted my head to see a bright city in the darkness. I stared at the view, speechless to even say anything.

"It's like, it's covered in jewels!" Gon assumed and I chuckled at his words.

"It is pretty, yes." I mumbled slowly sitting up straight, stretching my hands. Then falling backwards and laying on the ground laughing. "How is ground more comfortable than my bed at home?" I frowned joking, Gon and Killua looking at each other mischievously.

Before I could say anything they quickly jumped down at the ground and started tickling me as I burst out laughing.

"S-s-stop it!" I cried out in my laughter.

"Na-ah!" Killua said. Eventually I escaped from them as we all sat back and I relaxed my hurting cheeks (from laughing) and again felt energy come to me.

"Hey, so I was wondering," Gon said as me and Killua turned to him.

"Hm?"

"Your parents, Killua," now me and Gon stared at the white haired boy. "Are they... where are they?" He asked while I looked intensely at him.

Now to be fair, me and Gon both shared our information about our guardians, while Killua haven't said a lot. In fact, I don't really know much about him!

"Yeah, I want to know too," I said looking seriously at him.

"Mh... their alive. Probably," the last word made me raise my eyebrow suspiciously. Is he lying? No it doesn't look like it.

"What do they, do?" I asked. "Don't tell me their also Hunters," I smirked at him, to which he just shook his head.

"They're assassins," Killua said. I stared at him for a moment to make sure he wasn't lying. Then sight and smiled.

"They both are?" Gon asked, surprised.

"What kind of assassins are they?" I asked, curious.

Killua lifted his head from the window (I forgot to mention that only Annya is sitting sorry-) and started laughing. I still kept my curiosity.

"That's yours response?!" He said, I noticed some surprised hints in his laughter. "Now you and Gon are being both weird!"

I tilted my head as I blinked twice. "Hm?"

They both sat next to me me and Gon still in confusion.

"Your not the first people, I told about my parents," he said while I frowned. "But your the firsts to take it seriously," he smiled. It's nice to see him smile, since he doesn't do that often, I thought, myself smiling in my thoughts.

"But it's true, isn't it?" Gon asked while I stared at him, waiting till he answers.

Killua stopped with his funny expression and looked at us, somewhere between frowning and glaring. "Why'd you think that?"

"Is it really smart to even lie about that?" I answered. "And I've got a hunch that it's the truth," I said smiling at him.

"Weird..." he sight as he leaned over to the sill. He called me and Gon weird today at least 3 times like seriously- "Most of the time people only like me, because they can't tell if I'm serious or not..." he mumbled as my face flushed with surprise. People only like you... when they think they now something about you, which is a lie.

"Huh?" Gon still kept his confusion.

"I'm from a family of assassins. So yeah their all in the business of murder," he rested his chin on his palm. Damn he's handsome-

I froze at my own thoughts, then soon turned pink and inhaled and exhaled.

Killua continued. "And my family-" My fluster washed away slowly. "-have high hopes for me," he finished smiling. "But you know..."

He looked disappointed, probably thinking of his family. "I can't stand it. Who wants their whole life planned out for them?"

I paled from that sentence. Who wants their whole life planned out? I gulped. No, no, no. That is not what they wanted. They wanted me to have a normal happy life. I shook my head clearing my thoughts and pushing them away in the darkness.

"When I told them I wanted to decide my own future, they all flipped out, it was crazy!" Killua exclaimed. I raised a brow, smiling at him, trying to hide my real emotions. "My mom had tears streaming down her face as she kept screaming that I had potential to become a top assassin!" Killua pointed his hands. Me and Gon started laughing. "Horrible parents right? No wonder I'm rotten!" He said. I gave him an awkward smile. "Then we started fighting, so I slashed my mom in the face, stabbed my brother in the side and ran away from home," he finished with a smile as I sweat dropped. "I'm sure their out for blood now. If they'll all come after me, I'll kill them," he said looking mischievously happy.

"Great, Killua..." I smiled as I tapped his shoulder, while Gon just awkwardly smiled at him.

"When I get my license, I'll hunt them down, for the last one," he said somehow shining while saying so. I gave him thumbs up as me and Gon stared moving a little further. "I'm willing to bet they have pretty heavy money on their heads," he again said charmingly.

While Gon tried to encourage Killua that was not a good idea I noticed a strong aura coming close to us. When I was about to turn around... the aura disappeared. And I couldn't see anyone there. I frowned. That was not Hisoka's aura, his is way darker.

I sight as I turned back to the boys, them relaxing on the windowsill.

Then I felt as my whole body shivered, like someone ran into me in the speed of light. Killua quickly raised his head as his eyes widened. Gon and me as well. We stood up to see who was that, but there was no one there.

"What was that..." I whispered.

"Something wrong?" I heard a voice as I almost screamed, backed away and hid behind the two boys. I sensed the familiar aura, from before when I saw, Netero the Chairman.

My eyes widened. Was he the one watching us?

He stopped in front of us as I more and more hid behind Killua's back.

"Mister... Netero!" Gon said as I gulped staring intensively at the man. "You didn't see anyone coming from that side did you?"

"No, I didn't," he answered. Killua glared at him.

If it really was the same man I sensed at the corridor, then how did he manage such speed?

"Your fast," Killua said, as if he read my mind. "For an old timer."

"Oh? That trick? I just barely moved that's all!" The Chairman answered. I blinked twice. Huh.

I felt as tension entered the room. Well it was more between Killua and Netero. I felt uncomfortable and moved away from Killua stopping next to Gon.

"What do you want?" Killua finally asked. "You don't have anything to do, until the last phase isn't that right?"

"Now, now no need to be so unkind," the Chairman said. "I just got a little bored, so I decided to look for some company."

Killua still stayed tense.

"By the way, I've been meaning to ask you. Any thoughts on your first attempt on the Hunter Exam?" He asked with closed eye smile.

"Yeah! It a lot of fun! There haven't been any written test yet, and I was kinda worried about that!" Gon proposed.

"I can agree, it's really nice. I'm not good at writing myself so I'm glad with Gon," I said as I smiled.

Killua glared at the Chairman. "I'm disappointed, honestly. I expected this to be way more challenging," Killua said. I was going to smack him, but he was in a really bad mood so I decided to rather stay careful. "But I suppose the next Phase will be more interesting?" He asked as I looked at him trying to figure out what was going inside his head.

"Oh well, we'll see!" Netero smirked.

Killua flinched and turned around. "Let's go," he said walking away slowly. I sight at his behaviour.

"Wait! Just a moment!" Netero said, making Killua stop in his track.

"Hm?"

The Chairman Netero smiled at us. "Would you like to play a little game with me?"

Killua slowly turned around to face the man.

"Game?" Gon asked.

"What kind of game at we talking about?" I asked.

"You'll see if you come with me!" Netero said smirking. Well there's this uncomfortable feeling again. "And to make things more interesting, if you two can beat me, I'll make you Hunters on the spot!"

"Really?!" Gon exclaimed excitedly. "I-I'll play!"

"I'd like to play as well!" I shouted out maybe not as excited as Gon, but stil excited.

Killua turned fully around glaring at the old gazer. I still felt that tension from him.

"What do you say? Well?"
