\\Annya (POV)\\
I walked Gon to a huge red gate-door. I stopped pointing at the door.
"That is it, Gon. That's the place," I said as he finally let go off my wrist as he bursted throught the door. He stood in the doorway, as when he started walking, I cached up to him, and walked together. I noticed that everyone was watching us, and it made me uneasy.
I stopped next to one of the long tables that were in the room. While Gon walked up to a certain black haired male.
"Gon..." Leorio mounted.
Gon stared at Illumi as I gulped. Those needles he used on that guard where manipulated with nen. So it was safe to assume he knew nen well.
The two boys stood silently for moments until an angry expression grew in Gon's face. "Apologies to Killua!" He said.
Gon really looked angry. Not even angry, he was furious. I heard footsteps behind me as I turned to see Satotz walking behind us into the room.
Illumi turned to Gon, an emotionless expression on his face, like always whatsoever. "Sorry," he said. "But what for?" He asked as I grumbled in a low tone, as no one heard me.
"You don't know what you did wrong?" Gon asked, madness in his voice. I sat on top of the table, so I could see the both of them.
"Nope," Illumi said. I glared at him. How come. Is he that bad of a brother?
"Your not qualified enough to be his brother," Gon said as we made a quick eye contact.
"I didn't know I had to be qualified," Killua's big brother said, turning away.
Gon then grabbed him by the wrist and swinged him in the air, Illumi landing behind Gon, on his feet. The green haired boy was still holding onto the black haired man's wrist, as he stared at Illumi, with a glimpse of hatred.
"Friends don't have to, either," Gon said as I smiled. "He gets to choose!" He said tightening the grip on Illumi's hand. Illumi even flinched for a split second.
Gon walked a little, as he still stood in front of Illumi. "Don't even bother apologising. Just take me and Annya to see Killua."
"Yes please," I mumbled, so quietly that no one could hear me. Again.
"And what will the two of you do?" Illumi asked and I squeezed my arms.
"It's obvious," Gon said.
"We'll bring him back!" I shouted from the back. Illumi glanced at me. Then again looked at Gon.
"From the way you both talk, you must think I kidnapped my little brother," Illumi stated. I glared at him. "But he walked out of here on his free will."
"He left, but not by free will," Gon shook his head. "You guys were manipulating him!"
"And that's the same thing as kidnapping!" I shouted.
The room filled in tension as me and Gon glared at Killua's brother. Then the silence was interrupted by steps. I shot my head and looked over to the Chairman Netero standing calmly with his high heeled sandals.
"We were just discussing that very subject, Annya, Gon!" He said as I my mouth opened a little, in shock. "In fact, Leorio and Kurapika have both logged complains!"
I stared back at Leorio and Kurapika to see them both with serious looks.
"The committee has been reviewing the falsies of Killua's disqualification," Netero said as Kurapika stood from his seat.
"You saw it yourself! Both during and since his match with the man called Gittarackur!" Kurapika exclaimed. "Killua behaved strangely, I believe that there is only 1 reason that Killua committed murder. He was hypnotised!" The blond stated as I watched him. "It's generally consider impossible to use hypnosis to wreck someone to do such a thing. However, assassins raised Killua and murder was common place. So it's natural that he would lack proper strength," he finished.
"It's worth knowing that the attack happened during my match with Bodoro," Leorio said, also standing up. "So it's possible, that Killua intended to aim my cause. Which means, if your going to disqualify anyone," he pointed his finger at himself. "It should be me."
"Whatever the case," Kurapika continued. "It was obvious that Killua was not on full control of his actions at the time! And does, he should not been disqualified."
Netero turned and started walking to his speech desk. "That is nothing more than speculation," he said. "There's no concrete proof. From what we saw, there where no clear indications, he was ordered to commit murder. And regarding the hypnotism, I would have to question that claim as well."
Kurapika stated but didn't say anything.
"I will agree that the incident accrued, once the battle between Leorio and Bodoro had gotten underway," Netero agreed. "At that point, both fighters were evenly matched, all things considered. While Bodoro had obviously way more experience, it was clear that Leorio had the definite edge, when it came to roll ability and combat. Even thought that was a fair fight, there was no need for Killua to interfere," Netero said as I bowed my head knowing it was true.
"Speaking of weird things happening," Pokkle suddenly said. He then glanced at Kurapika. "Why don't we talk about when you fought with Hisoka?" He said as I trailed of the table and stood on the ground. "Mind telling us what it was he said to you?"
I glared at Pokkle. That was none of his business. And I'm pretty sure of Kurapika's face, that it was personal, and he wanted to keep it for himself. At least for now.
"Neither of you looked tired," Pokkle continued. "But Hisoka whispered something to you, than surrendered. Weird right?"
Tension grew between them. "I'd understand if he whispered something into your ear and then you surrendered. Like with me and Hanzo. Or Bodoro and Hisoka," Pokkle glared. "Instead the opposite happened. Which makes me wonder if the two of you struck some sort of barge! If you wanna talk about things that don't make sense, then your victory would fill the theme perfectly. You don't have anything to hide, right? So what did he say?"
"Pokkle, I don't think that is any of your concern," I said, to which he flinched at me. "Can't you tell by Kurapika's face, that he doesn't wanna talk about it?"
"Annya, thank you, but I can handle this," Kurapika said. "I have no such obligation."
"Maybe you don't, but I think you own it to us," Pokkle stated.
"I don't," Kurapika calmly answered. "You may find my victory suspect, but I would say the same of victory by the fault."
Pokkle groaned as he seem to be holding himself back, from hurting Kurapika. "What?!" He shouted.
Kurapika watched Pokkle calmly, while the other guy groaned harshly.
"This is pointless."
I flinched at Gon's voice as my eyes shot back at him. He was still holding Illumi by the wrist only stronger.
"Come on!" Hanzo said standing up. "Let's just get this over with, so we can all go home!" He was almost whining.
"Look here pall!" Leorio shouted swinging his hands.
"THIS IS COMPLETELY POINTLESS!" Gon yelled as I shuttered at his tone. Everyone suddenly quite down, as I looked away at the ground. I saw my brown shoes, as now they where almost black.
"Why are you about if somebody should have passed?" Gon asked his voice still mad.
"Gon..." I said bringing my hand in the air.
"If your not satisfied that you made it, you can keep working until you are," he said. Satotz words, I thought. "If Killua wants to retake the Hunter Exam, then I know he'll pass. He didn't this time, and it is what it is."
I watched Gon as he crunched Illumi's hand stronger. "However. If you've been forcing Killua to murder people against his will, this whole time..."
I bowed my head as I heard his upcoming words.
"I will never forgive you." Me and Gon said at the same time.
Gon flinched at my words. He looked back at me. I glared at Illumi as my eyes darkened.
"From the moment I saw you Gittarackur I sensed that something was off with you. How you had such a similar bloodlust like Killua, and how always didn't look strong but you were. I will never forget the words you said to him. And one day you will see the consequences of making Killua do all of that."
I then looked at Gon and gave him a sad smile. "Gon sorry. I wasn't able to stop him, and now you speak everything I should have said a while ago. So sorry. Maybe if I had said to him back then, he wouldn't have killed Bodoro."
Gon shook his head, turning at Illumi. "Annya I don't blame you one bit. You did everything you could. I believe you did."
I smiled at him, as a warm family feeling came to me again. It feels like every time me and Gon would talk like this, that sibling feeling would come to me.
"Never forgive me, huh?" Illumi suddenly said as my gaze went back to him. "So. What will the 2 of you do?"
Gon glared. "Me and Annya won't do anything. But after we rescue Killua, I'll never let you see him again!"
How many times today, have I felt tension? At least 10 times, geez...
"Hm..." Illumi mumbled as he reached out for Gon's forehead. Gon quickly noticed that move and letting go of Illumi's hand, jumped a few meters away. They both stood quietly.
"Ahem!" Netero coughed as I remember that he and the rest of the examiners are still here. "Alright, lady and gentlemen. Let's continue. Gon is absolutely right! It's up to you to decide if your worthy of your license. Now, your perfectly welcomed to complain about the results as much as you like, when your minds are made up."
Everyone looked down and sat back in their seats, except for me, Gon and Illumi.
"Killua has been disqualified from this year's Hunter Exam, while the rest of you passed," Netero exclaimed. He then looked at his assistant Beans next to him and they both nodded to each other. How cute!
Beans walked up and stood a little in front of the chairman. "Alright then. I shall continue with the orientation," he said bringing out a Hunter license. "Now, the cards that we passed out, are your Hunter licenses. This card, will allow you to enter 90% of the countries that limit immigration. As well as grant you access to 75% of the restricted areas in the world."
"Aw, sweet!" I said clinging onto my card.
"You may use 95% of public facilities at absolutely no cause! And they will treat you as a top rated company," Bean continued. "You can also sell it for the last of 7 life times, or you can keep it, for the life guarantee comfort."
I brushed my finger to the card with the Hunter's emblem on it. I'm gonna love and keep this card safe for the rest of my life.
"Please be very careful, you wouldn't want it to be misplaced or stolen. You won't get a replacement," Beans said smiling. "According to our restatements as one in 5 Hunters manage to loose their card in a year of receiving it. Your very first challenge as a licensed Hunter is to protect your card at all cost! From here on out it's your show. Believe in yourself's and keep working to make your dreams come true."
"Well," Netero smiled. "We can now announce all 8 applicants as licensed Hunters!"
...
I sat on a bench getting a little sight of the sunlight and blue sky, before closing my eyes and breathing the warm wind.
A memory of Killua shot in my head as I sight sadly. Dammit, I already miss that stupid...
I groaned as the thought of him at home made me angry. No goodbyes, no meet-up requests. Nothing. Just that little glance. Nothing more.
"There you are, Annya number 31!" I heard a familiar women voice.
I opened my eyes to see Menchi sitting beside me on the bench.
"How are you doing?" He asked. I narrowed my head at the ground.
"I'm fine, just a little tired," I gave her a reassuring smile. But that smile was fake. I had no idea where Killua was, I didn't know what am I suppose to do next, or if Killua was alright.
Menchi nodded smiling. "I'm glad that your ok, seriously you are really talented kid!" She said laughing, while giving me a punch on the shoulder. "You can cook, know how to use Nen, is experienced with combat and is strong!"
"Don't give me all that credit," I shook my hands in front of my face. "I may be strong, but it takes away some energy to do that. Plus I'm nit really strong, I just use the opponents ability against them. My combat skills may be good, but I'm still not as half as good as Killua!" I said. "He's way much stronger than me, on probably another level!" I said.
"Hm, if you say so. But you can use nen unlike him, right? That makes you stronger."
I froze before looking down. "My nen. Yes I have mastered it, but... whenever I use it I get tired easily. From my youth it was hard learning it, and it always hurts me in some way."
She tilted her head. "Hurts you somehow? What do you mean?"
"Well... usually it only tires me. But if I use a lot of Nen I always hurt myself. In some way. That's why I need to train more, and find out the reason to this," I said as I smiled looking at the sky again. The blue beautiful view reminded me of Killua's eyes. They were also blue. And in the good side of blue.
Menchi stood up, as she gave me a smile. "Well it was nice meeting you, Annya. I hope I'll see you again some day!" She said before running off. I waved to her as a goodbye and then letting my sad expression enter my face.
"So. What should should I do next?" I mumbled.
"Annya!" Gon's voice yelled as I screamed and jumped to a tree. Then realised what I did and with my face all red jumped down.
"Hey, Gon!" I said walking up to him next to another bench where he, Kurapika and Leorio stood.
"We found out where Killua is!" Gon said while smiling. "He's on Kukuroo Mountain! Where his family lives!"
A smile grew in my face. "Really! I'm so glad, we know where he is!" I cheered happily. Gon smiled at me back.
"Hm..." Leorio mumbled. "Kukuroo mountain huh? Never heard of it."
My smile faded. "Nor have I..."
"Know anything Kurapika?" Leorio asked. Kurapika didn't respond as seem to be deep in thoughts. "Kurapika!" Leorio shouted.
Kurapika shot his head from his kneecaps as he looked at us in surprise. He stared and then stood from the bench. "Oh, what was that?"
"Pay attention!" Leorio mounted. "Illumi mentioned Kukuroo mountain, do you have any ideas where it is?"
I face palmed. Illumi?
"No, I'm afraid I don't," Kurapika sight. "But we can just look it up online," he said as I nodded, a little smile on my face.
We heard footsteps as we all turned around to see Hanzo. "Hey!" He said smiling.
"Oh! Hey Hanzo!" Gon waved. This boy is seriously so innocent, this gliterally smashed broke his hand!
Hanzo walked up to us as I gave him a small smile. "I'm heading home," he said. "We all went through a lot in a short time, but I had a lot of fun."
"You sound like Gon," I chuckled, as Gon smiled at my comment.
Hanzo smiled. "I guess I do," he sight. "If you ever visited my country, just let me know!" He said. "I'll give you a real tour. So no tour traps," he said giving us a little card and walking off. "Later!"
"Bye! See ya!" Gon cheered.
"Yeah, stay alive mister Hanzo!" I shouted back. He smiled. We then all looked at cards he gave us to see weird ornaments on them.
"That certainly is, one big selfish shorten ninja..." Kurapika stared at the fragment.
"Hey." Someone said.
I shot my head with the guys to see Pokkle also walking up to us.
"I'm really sorry about getting so worked up back there," he said honestly.
"Please, I was no better," Kurapika smiled. "I'll hope you'll forgive me," he said bowing his head.
"No... I only got mad because deep down I knew you were right," he said. "I was just talking out my frustration by wining by the fault..." he said. "But I'm over that. I passed, so I might just make the best of it right?" He said running up to us.
"Your so honest," I said giving him a smile. He smiled back.
"Well. My question now is what should I do next?" He walked up to us.
"Yes, your right," Kurapika agreed.
"I decided I'll travel the world, discover new species as a licensed exotic gamer Hunter," he said as my eyes shined with excitement for him. "Learn everything I can!" He finished bringing out a black tablet.
"Exotic game Hunter?" Kurapika asked, surprised.
"It sounds fun!" I said in awe.
"Oh hey! What's that thing?" Gon asked pointing at the tablet.
"What, this?" Pokkle asked back. "You use it to find any kind of information. Is there anything you wanna know? I can look it up for you."
"Hm..." Gon mumbled. "Oh there is! Think you can look up a Hunter named Ging? Ging Freecss!"
"Sure, hold on just a second," he said as we all stood in different sides of him. In a few moments he seem to found something. "Hold on so who is this Ging guy, anyway?"
"Huh?" Gon hummed confusedly.
"Cuz, everything about him is behind a tight security system," Pokkle said. "You need a lot of bunch of codes to access it. I think... he must have friends on the national level!"
We all stood in shook as soon I began to smile. "Wow Gon, you heard that? Your dad's amazing!" I whispered into his ear.
"Ok. Let me know if anything comes up," the guy smiled. "This is my email address," he said handing a small paper to Gon. "See you around!" He shouted.
"Alright! See you soon!" I yelled back a small smile on my face.
When Pokkle ran off Leorio suddenly flinched and then sight in depressing tone. "We should have asked him about Kukuroo mountain..." he whined.
"Yeah, I guess your right..." Gon grinned awkwardly.
"Well, we are all Hunters now," Kurapika said smiling. "Chairman Netero made that much clear. And it's probably not the best idea to let other Hunters know what your doing," he said as I giggled.
"Even if they told us what they were doing..." I chuckled.
Kurapika smiled sheepishly at me. "Well I guess it's better to look it up ourselves."
Gon and Leorio both smiled too.
"Gon," said mister Satotz's voice as we again (third time now) glanced to see him walking up to us.
"Mister Satotz!" Me and Gon shouted at once. The boy ran up to Satotz as they stood in front of each other.
"It appears you forgot something," Satotz said bringing out the same black book-box from before with the Hunters emblem on it.
"Oh! That's right! Thanks a lot!" Gon smiled taking it.
"Also," Satotz brought his finger. "Do you have a moment?" He asked.
Gon glanced at us. "We'll be waiting for you in the lobby," Kurapika said as we started walking away.
"Ok," Gon said out.
"Don't make us wait long!" I cheered as he smiled and nodded.
...
"First, let's look up Kukuroo mountain," Leorio said as we all stood next to a computer: me, Kurapika, Gon and Leorio.
"Right," Kurapika said turning on the device.
"Whoa, so that's how it works..." I said in awe.
"Kukuroo Mountain," Kurapika said out loud. "There."
"So that's what it looks like!" I beamed.
"Kukuroo mountain in the denture region of the republic of Pidocia, is 3722 meters high." Said Kurapika as my eyes shined so brightly it was neither than the screen.
"The republic of Pidocia? Never heard of the place," Leorio said. "So where is it?"
"Hold on," Kurapika pleased. "I'll bring up a map."
He searched up an old map as I check mark was somewhere in where we were and an X on which Killua was probably where.
"There it is the republic of Pidocia. It appears to be a stable country, so we should be fine," Kurapika continued. "Those countries opens to tourist," he said as I giggled.
"Then we should be fine!" I exclaimed smiling.
"So that's where Killua is..." Gon mounted.
"It will take 3 days to reach it by airship," Kurapika said bringing his hand to his chin. "When do you think we should leave?-"
"TODAY!" Me and Gon beamed at the same time. Then both stared at each other and bursted out laughing.
"Man, are you sure your not siblings?" Leorio asked staring at us. "But alright! I'm with the twelve year olds!"
Kurapika smiled. "Got it!" He said clicking his keyboard and buying tickets.
...
I looked over the window of a black car worriedly at the orange sun.
"What's going on!" Leorio exclaimed.
"We are stuck in a traffic jam..." I mumbled angrily.
"This is bad, at this rate, we will be late for our flight," Kurapika said.
"Hey, driver! Do something!" Leorio shouted to the poor man.
"Nothing I can do about this car traffic. And it's the only road!" He answered, flustered.
I saw Gon thinking with his finger on his chin. Then he quickly shot his head. "In that case..."
He grabbed me by the arm, the other one taking his baggage. We all jumped out of the car as Gon let go of my arm, me still running next to him. I smiled as the sunlight blinded me for a split second.
"Hey Gon! Do you realise how far away the airport is?" Leorio shouted to him.
"Sure!" Gon said as we both glanced at the two older boys.
"But we both want to rescue Killua, as soon as we can!" I finished his thought as we both grinned.
Kurapika and Leorio looked at each other before smiling and turning to us. "Fine you win!" Leorio beamed.
"Running like this kinda reminds me of the Hunter Exam!" Kurapika exclaimed.
"I know right!" Gon cheered.
The Hunter Exam is where I met Killua. Where we bonded in a short time. And where our friendship began. But that doesn't mean it has yet ended. And I'm not planning on ending it ever.
"This is way easier than the Hunter Exam was thought!" I laughed. "Also..."
Me and Gon both started running faster. "Race you to the airport!" I shouted as Gon joined my happiness soon after.
"Ready..."
"...set..."
"...go!"
