Jeongin:“singing battle?”

Not getting why this came out of sudden but Jeongin himself confused why both Jisung and Seungmin want him to perform in a battle singing duet with them... Especially the other freshman.

Seungmin:“yes, we will do it live too”

Live? Like in front of so many people?

But what for?

Jisung:“we're going to perform in front of so many people and let them decide which of us won”

He said in a cocky tone with crossing his arms and lifting his chin up to say that proudly— Seungmin just rolled his eyes out of the facade he was pulling.

He knows very well that Jisung isn't as arrogant as he seems.

Jeongin:“I don't know...shouldn't we ask Chan—”

Jisung:“i already told him about the battle and he's looking forward to seeing you there”

He smirked when he got to use the magic card, even if it bothers him but Jisung knows about how much Jeongin cares about Chan's opinion on him so he used him like a winning card to win the younger.

Jeongin:“then what song are we going to battle with?”

Even if he still doubt it but the younger really want to enjoy singing on stage, he got this chance from Jisung unexpectedly and now he want to use it for himself to experience what it like to be a singer singing in front of so many people.

Damn... He's getting excited.

Jisung:“Gone away by Stray kids”

Seungmin nodded since the two had choose this song specifically since it got the chords they need for performing.

He then turned to his fellow freshman just to ask him if the song was familiar.

Seungmin:“you recognize that song”

Jeongin nodded his head.

Jeongin:“i do...it's a sad song that talks about unrequited love”

He lower his head with a sad smile trying to remember the song lyrics which reminds him of his crush towards the older... He still didn't tell him but he's planning to confess soon.

Jisung:“now's everything is settled, let us rehearsal the song and meet up at the theatre next week”

He announced, he really doesn't want to go to the school president and ask for permission to use the theater since the two were in such an awkward situation where Minho can't stop taking care after him whenever it is about Chan.

Jisung hates that Minho had some little effects on him.

Seungmin:“sounds good”

He agreed can't wait to express his vocals again as it has been a while and what more worrying is Jeongin thinking that this was Seungmin's first time on stage oblivious about his fellow freshman being a part of the musical industry in the past.

Jeongin:“you sure you don't have a stage fright, Seungmin”

He looked at him then chuckled at him just to shake his head.

Seungmin:“i grow up on the stage, so don't worry about me because I'll be okay”

He found it cute that Jeongin was looking out for him.

Jeongin:“want to have lunch with me at the canteen”

He doesn't know but he feels really pulled by the other freshman, him and Felix had this aura that attracted him and he wants to make friends with this guy.

Seungmin:“sure, I was planning to go there anyway since my boyfriend would be waiting for me there”

Jisung:“uhm...can I tag wi—”

Jeongin:“omg! You've got a boyfriend?!”

He exclaimed on surprise putting his hand in his mouth that was forming a big smile and looked at the other freshman with such an exciting gesture.

Seungmin:“yes! He's name is hyunjin, you might know about him by now...he's the soccer captain”

They kept walking away talking about Seungmin's boyfriend while Jisung left behind not getting noticed by the two and that made him lonely. He blames himself for what is happening to him right now.

Jisung(💭):«why am I always left alone»

If he was nice to Jeongin from the beginning, then he won't be going through this.

A week passed.

When the three sing that song they work hard for in the past week, they were able to perform it together and all three voices fused together making beautiful Harmon with each other.

The audience were in awe not really caring if Seungmin wasn't a member or Jeongin was an underrated member while not wondering even a bit of why Jisung, the main vocalist chooses to do a duet with two unpopular kids.

They were drawn to the three angelic voices and when Jisung asked the audience which one sang better they all started shouting that the three of them were in harmony and they couldn't point out who sings better than the other.

So it was a tide between the three.

Chan:“you did well, baby doll”

He came with a full smile on his face really proud of how Jeongin was singing out there on the stage and the first thing he did once they ended performing was running towards him.

Jeongin:“thank you, channie-hyung”

He felt his cheeks getting hot to know that he's being complimented by his one and only lovable crush and what pushed him more eagerly is to touch Chan's hands softer from his fingers and look at each other with heart eyes.

Changbin:“I was also impressed again, you really surpass your vocals and get me very overwhelmed”

Jeongin looked at the drummer who approached them and also said positive reviews about his singing which caused him to chuckle and thank him too.

From another side, Hyunjin came into the backstage and spotted Seungmin speaking with Felix where he widely opened his arms and ran towards his boyfriend.

Hyunjin:“BABY!!! That was amazing!!”

When he finally arrived at where his boyfriend was standing, he crashed him into a warm right hug where Seungmin blushed at receiving it.

Seungmin:“you're so loud”

Hyunjin let go and looked at him with a smirk.

Hyunjin:“then shut me up”

Seungmin smirked back and then attacked his lips knowing very well that his boyfriend meant this with what he said and between them was the blonde showing the most disgusting expression ever.

Felix:“eww gross...GET A ROOM!”

They all start laughing when Felix runs fake crying to Jeongin and seeks his comfort saying he doesn't want to be single anymore and be surrounded by couples.

Jisung stood away from the crowd watching with sad eyes his band mates and friends having fun without him which caused him to let out a tear.

Jisung(💭):«why doesn't no one give attention to me? I sang too...»

He lowered his head and turned around to cry away from their sight but what he didn't expect was another hand that came in contact with his head.

Minho:“you did well, Han Jisung”

He shot his teary eyes open and looked up to find none other than the school president putting on his warm smile and looking at him with such a generous look.

Jisung:“Mr. school president...what are you doing here?”

He wiped his tears quickly and looked away not wanting to seem weak since he knows he will get another lecture from the older again.

While it breaks Minho to see Jisung cry every time whenever they encounter each other.

Minho:“Seungmin invited me and I watched you all use this theatre against the school laws during lunch break for a live show which isn't planned today”

Jisung felt really guilty that he didn't ask him to get permission which caused him to be ashamed that Minho got to handle the consequences of their childish acts all by himself.

Jisung:“I deeply apologize, Mr.school president...please don't tell the principal to include Jeongin and Seungmin...it was my idea”

Minho smiled at him and patted his head again not really getting why his heart was getting so soft around this guy.

Minho:“I am not gonna do that...and i had to listen to your amazing singing from up close, you really are a talented star”

His hand that was on his head slowly slides down to hold Jisung by his cheeks where he caresses his cheek mole with his thumb and Minho's eyes never leave the sight of his big doe eyes looking up with adoration.

Jisung:“can you...can you take me away from here...i don't want to—”

Minho:“say no more”

Minho was already holding him by his hand...then both left together without getting noticed by the others.
