chapter 00 - the realization

omniscient point of view

"What happened to you and Yuri?" Dong-Won asked his sister, Ha-Eun. "Nothing. We're just not hanging out anymore." The younger responded, turning over in her bed

Dong-Won tilted his head, walking over to her bedside, leaning on his sister's nightstand. "Well, something happened. You guys were always with each other." He spoke.

Ha-Eun looked up from her bed, at him, she knew he was right. They hardly left each other's side. Ha-Eun would always be right beside Yuri. The girl then stared back at her bed.

"I just get this weird feeling around her. I get like, butterflies in my stomach when she smiles...I like making her smile. It sounds corny but it makes my day better." The dark haired girl told her brother. He nodded, waiting for her to continue.

"And it's like, I want to do stuff for her that I wouldn't do for my other friends. Sometimes I like when it was just us, on the roof listening to her favorite artists new album." Ha-Eun takes a breath. "And when she compliments me I start blushing, but it's not how it is when i'm nervous or like how it is auditioning for a role."

Dong-Won nods, "Hm..." He hums, crossing his arms. He then chuckles, looking at the ground. When he looks at Ha-Eun, she's sitting up, looking at him with a 'it's not funny. like at all.' look.

"Sounds like you have a crush, little sister." The older one speaks. Ha-Eun stays silent, she contemplates it for a few seconds, maybe he's right.

He chuckles, "I remember that one time I found you two on our roof, it was freezing. I think you two were watching the sunset and she had your shirt and sweats on? The hello kitty ones specifically. I have photos of that." Dong-Won tells his sister.

Ha-Eun looks at him, "Why would you take pictures of us." She grumbles. Her brother starts laughing, "Because, I wanted to show mom and dad."

The younger sibling sighs pushing the blankets off of her, moving so her legs are hanging off of the bed. "I need to go to the store." She mutters. "To buy yuri something?" The older one asks.

The girl just nods. She knows what the girl likes, she'll find something.

y'all recognize the sienna reference? i started writing this last night, forgetting abt the song but then i listened to it today and realized and then wrote the rest. 😭😭

anyways, sorry that it's short i just wanted you guys to see what made her come to the realization that she had a crush. 😻
