~3~ - A Little Chat
"Mhm." Cagney hummed with a nod.
Hilda looked to the Devil, "What is it that you needed us for?" She was in a large amount of curiosity.
The Devil gave a small smile, "Kind of just wanted to chat, Hilda." He said calmly, "Just wanted to chat... Since our new friends, (and I'm gesturing to that Ghost), just arrived two days ago here in Inkwell Isle, I thought we should give them a TRUE welcome!" He exclaimed with a toothy grin on his face.
This peeked the flowers interest, making him look over to the Devil, "Huh? A true welcome? What do you mean?..." He was kind of curious, but he was sort of more antisocial than welcoming and joyful.
"What I mean is that they don't exactly have a reputation here. Most of everyone upon my land choose to avoid The Phantom Express, which is pretty rude, I say." The Devil replied.
"O-oh! What kind of welcome is it gonna be?" Blind Specter suddenly perked up, no longer scared. His translucent tail was wagging around a little, "Like... Almost like a Halloween welcome? Phantom's, that would be awesome!" He said in enthusiasm, seeming excited.
"That depends on what you want with your crew." The owner of the land spoke in regards of an reply. He already thought the Specter would probably be a cure for Cagney's so called 'problem', moreso stress or lack of socialization.
Sure enough he did communicate with only Hilda Berg, but that's just ONE person. At some point, he's gonna need to find another friend since she wants to become a Pilot, and that's surely a busy job and she won't be around in that same Isle all the time, anymore. And he's already got a job! That's in his Isle and it's mostly gardening and keeping the plants safe.
Since the Specter had an interest in hanging out with the Carnation since he looked it, the Devil nodded a little and had a small chat with Dice in the back office.
Cagney was in some questioning mood, but shrugged it off with his thorns and looked at Hilda, who had already found her interest with the books in the main office.
"Whoa! Did you guys know Devil had many books about our favorite things?" She said, fumbling with a book she had found, showing it to them. It had to do with romance comedy.
The flower furrowed his brows a bit, "Romance comedy isn't my thing." He wasn't mad, upset or irritated already, he was just confused.
"I like comedy! Just romance kind of messes with me, heh." Blind rubbed the back of his 'head'.
Hilda shrugged and put it back, "How about gardening, decorations or such?" She asked, looking back to them yet again.
Cagney of course nodded, and so did Blind.
This made Berg think a little, 'If they nodded at the same thing... Would this mean they're probably meant to be?' She had questions, by now. She was also the one to try to find Cagney someone he would love, mostly women since he would claim he was heading for straight, but all the women had denied him since he was either "too viscous", "needy", "rude", ecetera. Which it was all a lie! He only disliked people because they disliked him! She seemed to be the only one that at least gave him a chance.
Even since she was good friends with Cala Maria and Baroness Von Bon Bon, they gave him a chance, mostly making the Carnation nervous since he wasn't used to being around many girls.
But she had different thoughts on what he actually could be, maybe he wasn't exactly straight? More of a bisexual? Or could he be more– her questions were interrupted by Devil and King Dice re-entering the room.
"We know how to make your stay much more pleasant for you and the Express!" King Dice announced, a large smile spreading across his cube-for-a-head.
The others Devil tail swished around, "We aren't telling you though. But what's your favorite foods? Songs? Drinks?"
Timeskip because I said so.
It's been a hour and a half and now the group was leaving, giving their goodbyes to the Casino owner and the right hand man.
"Golly, that was good! But now I must return to my train..." The blue ghost said, noticing T-Bone left.
"Awe man... Well, we'll see you again?" Hilda asked, she really wanted to get to know the ghost more, but didn't stop him from needing to go.
"Yeah! Of course!" The translucent Specter grinned, and looked at Cagney.
The Flower looked back with a small smile, "Yes... We will. I'll be missing you."
"Me too! Now I'll see you! Bye!" With that, Blind Specter went out of his way back to the Express....
AAAA WRITER'S BLOCK.
That's what took me a bit to get this published! Yeah... It's bad if it took almost over two months to get something out..
