"I'll be back in the morning though."
Jungkook nodded at Yerin's response. She said that she needed to go to her parents' house for dinner with Eunwoo's family. It had already been almost one year since they were 'fake dating' and she dreaded that they were going to ask about the marriage soon. She wished that it shouldn't be right now, at least.
Jungkook stepped out of the elevator, followed by Yerin. They both walked toward their respective apartments. Surprisingly, the awkwardness had already reduced between them. It had been two weeks since Jungkook told her about Mina cheating on him. In these two weeks, she had noticed the obviously visible hints from Mina.
She punched in the password before opening the door. She once again glanced at him and gave him a small smile to him before entering the apartment. Thankfully, they hadn't done anything heated in the last few days. However, they definitely weren't able to forget those two intense nights.

Yerin was sitting at the dining table beside Eunwoo. She was wearing an elegant off-shoulder, knee length white dress, paired with a beautiful heart-shaped pendant and white heels.
Their parents talked occasionally to each other while eating dinner. She was grateful that the talk about marriage was not held today. However, she knew that the marriage proposal would be discussed at the next dinner for sure.
She glanced at Eunwoo, who was sitting on his chair, wearing a royal blue-coloured suit, with his hair swept pack. He looked handsome as always.
"So, Yerin, you are ready to handle the company along with Eunwoo, right?" Mrs. Cha said, smiling at Yerin, but the question made her frown.
"Handle the company?" she glanced at her parents as she hesitated. "But I'm doing law, mam."
Everyone chuckled at her statement except her and Eunwoo, which made her frown even more. Mr. Cha said, "So what, dear? You are the one and only daughter of a businessman, and you'll be handling the company."
She glanced at her father, who hinted at her not to say anything. This was unbelievable for her. She was enraged at the fact that she fought with them before pursing law, and they still had the audacity to bring this topic. Her parents had always forced her to do business, but she had a great interest in law, and it took her a long time to finally convince them to let her follow her passion. Now, when she had come so far with her dream, they wanted her to handle a freaking company.
"But law is my passion. I'm so close to being an attorney. I can't handle a company," she said while her parents exchanged panicked glances. She looked at Eunwoo's parents, who appeared a little disappointed by the situation.
"Oh, dear! Mr. Lee didn't tell you," Mr. Cha asserted before looking at her father. "You said that she was okay with handling the company. You know that she can't be an attorney, right?"
She widened her eyes at his statement as she looked at her father, who responded, "Don't worry, Mr. Cha. We didn't talk to her until now. It's alright; she would be okay with the company. It was just her interest in studying law. Nothing much."
Tears pricked her eyes as she heard her father's words. How could he think that it was just an interest, when he knew that it was her passion and dream? She decided to utter some words but was stopped by her mother, who held hand under the table. She glanced at her mother, who just hinted for her to stay quiet.
She glanced at Eunwoo with her teary eyes. He looked into her eyes before looking down at his feet. He slowly whispered, "I'm sorry, Yerin. I can't go against my parents."
She looked down at her food while clenching her jaw. A few tears rolled down her cheeks as she picked up her spoon. People around her just wanted to crush her dreams.

Yerin stepped out of the elevator before walking toward her apartment. She immediately left her parents' house, just after Eunwoo's family left. Her parents tried to stop her, but she didn't want to stay with them any longer.
She stood in front of her apartment door while tears rolled down her face. With her shaking hands, she pressed the first digit of her password but stopped and looked at Jungkook's apartment instead. She wiped her tears before walking toward his apartment and ringing the doorbell. After a few seconds, Jungkook opened the door. He got shocked to see her standing outside at this hour.
He noticed her red, teary eyes, which concerned him as he asked, "What happened, Yerin? Didn't you say you would come in the morning? And why are you crying?"
His questions abruptly came to an halt as she hugged him tightly before breaking down in tears. He slowly wrapped his arms around her and whispered comforting words to her in order to calm her down.
She sobbed hard, which made his heart clench a little. He wondered why he was feeling this because he had never felt this way before, not even with Mina.
He swiftly closed the door before bringing her inside the hall and making her sit on the couch. He made her look at him and asked, "Yerin, will you tell me what happened? Please, first, stop crying. Are these tears worth it? Stop it, Yerin."
He softly pulled her into a hug as she tried to normalize her breathing. She sobbed hard and hiccupped as she tried to take a deep breath. He rubbed her back to make her feel relaxed.
She looked at him once she calmed down a little. She placed her palm on his cheek before caressing it slowly. He looked into her eyes while she stared at him with the same intensity.
"What happened, Yerin-"
"I want you."
He froze at her statement as his eyes widened slightly. He was going to ask her the same question but stopped when she said, "Right. Now."
She leaned in and placed her lips on his while he closed his eyes at the touch. He slowly wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close before kissing back.
Their lips moved in sync as the kiss grew heated with each passing second. She pulled him closer while wrapping hands around his neck. He tried to pull away, but she didn't let him go. He forcefully broke the kiss before looking at her. He gasped for air before saying, "Not until you tell me what happened. You need to tell me what happened before getting this, Yerin."
"I just want you, Jungkook. Please stop asking what happened."
He shook his head in refusal and stopped her from coming closer. He said, looking into her eyes, "Not until you tell me who made you cry."
He looked at her teary eyes as she replied, "They want me to throw away my passion and walk the path they chose for me." She leaned on him while he leaned away as she continued, "They want to control my life."
His back touched the couch behind him as she leaned in more. "They don't want me to live my life the way I want," she said, closing the gap before capturing his lower lip between her own lips. She kissed him delicately and passionately, her tears trailing down their lips and mixing their saltiness into the kiss.
He placed his hand on the back of her head and kissed her back, feeling the emotions in the kiss: her need for love in this world, her need for a person who would always stay by her side.
His hand trailed down her back and rested on her waist. She whispered, while her lips still hovered above his, "I want you, Jungkook."
He continued the kiss and picked her up before taking her into his bedroom to give her what she wanted: To give her love.
