"Yerin, I just realized that Jungkook is living in the same building as you," Mina said while trying on her dresses.
Yerin looked at her and panicked before saying, "Oh, really! I didn't know. You know I don't pay much attention to my neighbours."
Mina chuckled at her before nodding her head. She went to change her dress after finalising the one she wanted.
"So, which one would you like to choose, ma'am?" the saleswoman asked Yerin while pointing towards the dresses.
Yerin had already tried both dresses, and somehow, both looked fabulous, making her confused again.
She looked at both dresses before switching her glances between Eunwoo and Jungkook. She gulped and said, "I'll have both of them."
The saleswoman was going to pack them when Jungkook interrupted, "Well, I don't think you can choose two," his eyes staring into her soul as he continued, "You should choose only one."
She looked at Eunwoo when he suspiciously raised one eyebrow at Jungkook. Nobody noticed Jungkook's tone, but Yerin definitely understood that his question wasn't about the dresses. It was no longer related to dresses.
She contemplated for several minutes before saying, "I'll go with the m-maroon one."
The response made Jungkook lips curl upward slightly. She chose the maroon dress. She chose him.
The saleswoman went to pack the dress while Mina pulled Jungkook toward the food court. Yerin looked at Eunwoo, who responded with a sweet smile before saying, "It's alright, Yerin. You should choose whatever you like."
He led the way toward the food court, while Yerin's mind lingered on her thoughts. It felt like this opinion wasn't related to dresses either.

She walked out of the elevator and directed her steps toward her apartment. She entered the passcode before stepping in and closing the door afterwards.
Subsequently, the doorbell rang, making her frown. It felt like someone was just waiting for her. Her eyes widened when she realized who was standing outside. Based on what had happened in the changing room and which dress she had chosen, she definitely knew what would happen if she opened the door. She knew that if she opened the door, she would not be able to stop herself, and she didn't want that. However, she still ended up opening it after the third bell rang.
Jungkook swiftly entered the apartment as soon as the door opened, trapping her between his arms and the door, closing it afterwards. He leaned in before whispering, "Will you repeat what you chose earlier?"
He wanted to hear again that she chose the maroon dress. He closed the gap, his lips hovering over hers, waiting for the answer. She breathed heavily at the intensity.
"Maroon one-"
He instantly slammed his lips onto hers, making her shut her mouth. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he deepened the kiss. His hands travelled from her hair to her hips, helping her to wrap her legs around his torso, which she did.
He carried her to the couch in the hall, not breaking the kiss. He made her sit on the couch before hovering over her, their lips not leaving each other even for a second. His hands made their way to her face, cradling it delicately.
She detached her lips while breathing heavily, and looked into his eyes. She shook her head before saying,"We need to stop, Jungkook."
He caressed her lips with his thumb. His eyes refused to leave her lips as he said, "Then we should stop." He waited for her to move away but looked into her eyes when she cradled his face instead.
"But I can't stop myself."
His lips hovered above her as he whispered before pulling her into another passionate kiss, "Then don't stop, Yerin."
They continued to devour each other while their minds forgot about all the mess they had created. His lips travelled to her jawline, followed by her collarbone, making her wince in pleasure. One thing led to another, and they ended up making the same mistake again.

Jungkook stirred in his sleep before sitting up on the bed. He looked beside him and again found no one next to him. He sighed and stood up to dress himself.
He walked out of the room before settling himself on the couch. He looked around the apartment but didn't find Yerin. It was sunday, and that meant they had no classes, which definitely indicated that Yerin had left intentionally.
He looked up at the door when it clicked and found Yerin entering the apartment. She froze in her spot, looking at him as she said, "Y-you didn't leave?"
Jungkook just responded with a blank stare, making her nervous as she looked everywhere but at him. He sighed before asking, "What happened, Yerin?"
She looked down at her feet before looking up at him, her eyes glistening with tears. "I don't know, Jungkook. Whatever we are doing right now is not good. You know what this is called, right? You know who we are, right? We are cheaters, Jungkook. Fucking cheaters."
His eyes softened looking at her. He moved toward the kitchen, pouring himself a glass of water before gulping it down. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she looked at him in disbelief.
"How can you be so chill, Jungkook? You know that we are wrong, right? You know that we are the villains here?"
He looked at her as he felt an unusual clench in his heart while observing her messy state. He nodded his head at her before saying, "I know we are the villains, Yiren. I know."
She licked her dry lips before asking, "Why are we doing this, Jungkook? Even when we know that this is wrong? When we know that we will regret it in the end?"
"I know it's wrong, Yiren, but I'm not regretting it."
She looked at him in disbelief, the feeling of rage building up in her, making her raise her voice at him. "So, you're saying that you feel no regret cheating on my best friend? You are really a bastard. Just freaking tell me why the hell are you cheating on her! Do you have no shame-"
"Because your so-called best friend is cheating on me."
She stopped in the middle as she processed the information he had just uttered.
"For the last two months."
She shook her head at him. It wasn't possible. She knew Mina, and she definitely knew that Mina wasn't that type of person.
"Lies. All lies. Now you are blaming her so that you can cover up your dirty deeds."
He sat on the kitchen counter before shaking his head with a tight-lipped smile, as he said, "That's why I wasn't telling you. Why will you believe me instead of your best friend?"
She looked at him as he continued, "I loved her. I truly loved her, gave her my everything, and cared for her. I even fought with my father, my only family, for her. What did she give me in return, Yerin? Betrayal?"
Tears rolled down his cheeks while she actually felt the heartbreak in his words. It made her wonder if Mina actually cheated on him because the feelings depicted by this man did not seem fake at all.
"It all started two months ago when she began ignoring my calls and texts, followed by avoiding all the dates I had planned. Whenever I made a plan, a new assignment of her would pop up out of nowhere. I actually thought that it was just my mind playing tricks on me, and I never doubted her. It all carried on until I caught her red-handed one month ago. I went to her apartment to pick her up but found her apartment door wide open. When I sneaked inside, I found a boy on top of her, and they were kissing each other-" he chocked on his own tears before hiding his face behind his hands. Yerin walked toward him and gave him more water to drink.
He refused and hugged her instead. "What did I do wrong, Yiren? What was my fault here? Was I not enough for her? She made me the villain. I'm not that strong, Yiren. I'm not even that good a person either. If she cheated, I'll fucking cheat back. I don't care what the world thinks of me."
She hesitantly rubbed his back as he hugged her more tightly. Maybe they actually weren't the villains? Even if they were, the situations made them the villains.
