Jungkook walked inside the elevator before clicking the button of his floor on the panel. He leaned against one of the walls and sighed. There was too much going on in his life recently for him to differentiate what was wrong or right. But he knew one thing for sure: Yerin would not be leaving his mind.
The elevator dinged open, and he stepped out. He walked toward his apartment but halted his steps when he saw the scene unfolding in front of his eyes. A middle-aged couple was talking rudely to Yerin while she stood there with her head down. Jungkook assumed they were her parents, as the woman looked a lot like Yerin.
"You are seriously such a headache. Why don't you just stay with us? What do you get by staying in this apartment?" the woman shouted at her, while Yerin raised her head to look at her.
"Because you both don't understand me. That house of yours is suffocating me. I don't want you to control me and my life decisions," Yerin replied. Her eyes shook with vulnerability when her mother raised her hand at her but was stopped by her father.
"Stop, Hyunji. Let her live here if she is being so stubborn. She is doing a good job of proving that she is actually a brat. Let's go," the middle-aged man, who was supposedly her father, said before moving toward the elevator, followed by her mother.
They both walked past Jungkook, entering the elevator. Jungkook walked toward Yerin but stopped when he heard little sobs from her. Now, he understood why she was seeking love.
She was definitely not loved enough.
He slowly tapped on her shoulder, making her flinch at the touch. She turned around and hastily wiped her tears after looking at him.
"You-"
Her sentence was cut off by a sudden hug, leaving her shocked. She tried to break the hug but stopped when he whispered in her ear, "It's alright, Yerin. They will understand you one day."
Tears flowed down her eyes as she squeezed her eyes shut. Unintentionally, she wrapped her arms around him too. She just wanted love in this world but couldn't get it.
"I understand you, Yerin. I really do," he whispered in her ear again, making her burst into tears. She cried for a full five minutes while he held onto her.
After calming down, reality hit her as she broke the hug. She looked into his eyes, which held concern for her. She quickly muttered 'sorry' before stepping inside her apartment. Jungkook sighed at her behaviour. He never wanted to make this mess. Now, he questioned himself too about why he said yes that night.

One week went by without any chaos, and Yerin was thankful for that. However, the tension between Jungkook and Yerin never faded away. There was still a feeling lingering around them, and Yerin hated how she was feeling. She knew that she shouldn't feel this way and that it was wrong. Absolutely wrong.
Mina and Yerin planned to go shopping on the weekend, and therefore, they were standing in the mall right now. However, Yerin didn't know that the boys would be joining them too. Mina said that she needed Jungkook to help her choose her dress, as they had always done their shopping together. Subsequently, she decided to call Eunwoo for Yerin as well.
They both were looking for the clothes while the boys were getting bored in the ladies' area. Mina would occasionally call Jungkook to help her choose a dress, but he just replied blankly. Yiren could see the pain in Mina's eyes, which made Yiren internally curse Jungkook in all types of languages.
Yerin looked around at the dresses and became confused by two of them. One was a full-length dark maroon dress, and the other was a knee-length black silky dress with spaghetti straps. She held the two dresses in either hand and turned around.
She said, gaining the attention of the other three, "Which one will look better on me?"
All of them carefully analyzed both the dresses, trying to find a good fit for her.
"Black one."
"Maroon—"
Eunwoo and Jungkook uttered at the same time, making their heads turn to each other. Eunwoo looked at him suspiciously, prompting Jungkook to look at Yerin.
"I mean, she looks great in bold colours, and the red colour palette suits her," he explained, looking at Eunwoo.
Yerin looked at her feet, realizing that on club night, she had worn a wine-red dress, which defined the reason for Jungkook choosing the maroon dress.
Eunwoo nodded his head in acknowledgement before saying, "I know, she looks good in red, but the black dress is much better."
They both looked at each other, a different kind of tension developing in the room. Yiren sensed the tension and said hastily, "I'll try both."
She quickly moved toward the changing room after taking both dresses with her. She walked toward the changing room but found it occupied. She waited there patiently, while looking at the dresses.
'Now, what kind of mess is this?'
A lady came out of the dressing room as she bowed at Yerin a little. Yerin stepped inside and turned around but got shocked when she saw Jungkook getting inside, too.
He closed the door while looking into her eyes. Yerin tried to protest but was suddenly slammed against the wall, with his palm resting on her lips. He reduced the gap between them by leaning in, causing her to push herself back. He looked into her eyes, making her lose her mind. It felt like his eyes were hypnotizing her as the world seemed to fade away.
He removed his hand from her mouth and rested them on her hips. He leaned closer, making their noses collide with each other as he asked, "What are you doing to me, Lee Yerin?"
She sucked in a deep breath when his lips made his way down to her neck. He moved his lips sensually while she tried hard not to make a single noise.
"I'll not lie, Yerin," he said as his lips travelled from her neck to her jawline, making her arch her back at the sensation.
"I'm freaking attracted to you."
He instantly placed his lips on hers, pulling her closer by her nape, while the kiss became sensual with every passing second. Eventually, she gave in. Her mind went blank as she kissed him back, her hands resting on his chest as she winced.
"No, don't make any noise here, sweetheart," he whispered before capturing her lips again. Her mind was playing tricks with her. She wanted to stop but also didn't want to. She didn't know what was happening to her. She knew it was wrong.
"Yerin?"
A voice came from outside along with a knock on the door. It was Eunwoo. She tapped on Jungkook's shoulder to stop, but he didn't. Instead, he pulled her closer.
She forcefully detached her lips as she cleared her throat to speak but couldn't when his lips invaded her neck again. She tightly squeezed her lips, trying her best not to make any sinful noise.
"Yerin, you are inside, right?"
She took a deep breath before saying, "Y-Yeah, Eunwoo." A sigh was heard from outside.
"Ok, I'll be waiting outside. Come out after changing your dress."
She said a quick 'Ok' and focused on Jungkook. She slightly pushed him away, which made him look at her with half lidded eyes.
"You're tough, huh? I thought you'd definitely make some noise," he whispered, his lips curving into a sinister smirk.
She looked down at her feet, trying to hide her red face, before looking at him again. "I need to change the dress."
He nodded and backed away, leaning his back against one of the walls, crossing his arms over his chest. She raised her eyebrows as she said, "I need to change. Turn around."
He let out a breathy chuckle before responding, "Why don't you change in front of me? It's not like I haven't seen you like that before."
Heat crawled to her face, making her glare at him, to which he smiled mischievously.
"Ok, fine," he said before turning away, giving her the privacy to change her dress. She looked at him for two minutes, ensuring that he would not peek, and then she changed the dress. Jungkook could hear the sound of the clothes rubbing, sending chills running down his spine.
When he was sure that she was done, he turned around to look at her. She looked absolutely stunning in that black dress, but he definitely believed that the maroon one would suit her better.
She looked at him as he whispered, "Beautiful." She moved backward as he caged her in his arms again. He continued, looking deeply in her orbs, "But believe me, Yerin. The maroon one will look the best on you."
She looked at him as he moved back and gestured for her go outside when Eunwoo called out for her once again. She carefully went outside, ensuring that Jungkook wasn't visible from the outside.
He sighed as the door closed.
"This is so messed up, yet feels so good."
