He walked out of the elevator and took steps toward his apartment, his eyes were hollow as he walked like a lifeless human. He wasn't able to understand what happened with him. Mina was not cheating on him, but he was actually doing so. He cheated back just to avoid his pain, but now his heart was filled with guilt. He was guilty that he considered Mina as a cheater and a villain when he was himself wrong.
He was feeling regret that, somehow, he manipulated Yerin to think that Mina was a cheater. Yerin hated Mina just because of him. He leaned himself on the wall of the hallway as tears flowed down his eyes. Suddenly, Yerin opened her door to look at him. Jungkook looked at her before entering her apartment without saying a word.
He sat on the couch while Yerin looked at him worriedly. She wondered why he was crying. She sat beside him before resting her palm on her shoulder. He looked up at her with his teary eyes, when Yerin asked, "What happened, Jungkook?"
He shook his head making her sigh, tears started pricking her eyes as she decided to utter some words, "Eunwoo said yes for the marriage."
Jungkook shockingly looked up at her, his eyes widening at the fact uttered by her. She stared into his eyes and said, "He said that he fell in love with me in this one year."
More tears rolled down his eyes as his hopes started to shatter in front of his eyes. His lips trembled as he said, "Mina told me that-"
He choked on his tears, making him rub his face harshly. He said while keeping his hands on his face, "She said that she was not cheating on me. It was my dad who forced her to do all this," Yerin's eyes widened with shock as a single tear rolled her eyes. He continued, "She was never wrong, Yerin. I freaking doubted her, when she was not wrong at all. I'm sorry for making you distant from your own best friend. I'm such a bastard."
He cried out his heart while tears endlessly flowed down her eyes. She burst out in tears as she cursed herself for doubting Mina. They both cried for what seemed like an eternity before Yerin said, "So, we were the wrong one, Jungkook."
He looked at her as she continued, "We were villains at the beginning, and we are villains at the ending too."
He held her hand, ready to utter some words but was interrupted by Yerin, "You know what, Jungkook? Let's stop this drama now."
His eyes were filled with tears as he listened to her, "I can't take this guilt anymore, Jungkook. I thought that finally I would be able to forget about this mess, but no, it became worse. We already have to live with this regret, Jungkook. And I don't want to increase my regret and guilt more."
She removed her hand from his grip before turning away. Jungkook tried to talk but couldn't gather the courage to do so.
"Don't try to talk to me again, Jungkook. Let's end this whole game."
He nodded his head at her statement, before standing up and walking out of her apartment. Yerin burst out in tears the moment he left the place. She was definitely devastated and didn't know how to handle this anymore.

Jungkook walked toward the cafeteria when Mina joined him with a smile. She once again apologized for the misunderstanding. She held his hand as she said, "I'm really sorry, Jungkook. It was a wrong move to agree with your father but I was forced. I'm glad you still chose me even after all this drama."
He nodded at her statement, but his actions did no justice. His face and eyes were devoid of any emotion. He followed her to the table before sitting beside her. He glanced at Yerin who focussed on her food.
Yerin looked up at Mina before standing up and hugging her. Mina was startled from her actions but soon teared up and wrapped her arms around her. Yerin broke the hug and whispered, "I'm sorry, Mina."
Mina shook her head and said, "You weren't at fault, Yerin."
It was an apology for the fact that Yerin started ignoring her from Mina's point of view. But, in reality, Yerin was apologizing for every wrong deed she did behind her back. It was all wrong. She should have stopped this, but instead continued this nasty game without any guilt.
He looked away and glanced at Eunwoo, who was looking at Yerin with a small smile on his face. Yerin sat down on her seat beside Eunwoo.
"By the way, Congratulations to you both. I got to know that you both are getting married soon," Mina said excitedly with a bright smile on her face.
Eunwoo responded with a smile, "Thank you so much, Mina. I hope I'll be a better partner for her."
Yerin smiled slightly at him while Jungkook seemed to frown at his statement. He wasn't liking the idea of seeing them together as a couple. It wasn't a big deal when he knew that Yerin didn't like her. His mind wandered in all the mess. She was being forced into a marriage she never wanted. She didn't like him and this was so wrong.
He glanced at Eunwoo before his eyes travelled to his hand which was holding Yerin's. He clenched his jaw at the sight, while his eyes filled with tears. He wasn't going to lie to himself anymore now. He had developed feelings for her. Yerin was ignoring him for the last few days. This avoidance was piercing his heart. He wasn't liking it at all, but decided not to cross his boundaries.
Yerin told him not to talk to her anymore and he was following that only. He tried to stop thinking about everything, about the feelings that had developed in his heart for her, but it couldn't be denied anymore that he was in love with her.
