"Do you think I'm a kid?"

Yerin stared at his face with bored eyes as he smiled at her cheekily. They were now standing in front of the amusement park, bunking their lectures. She never thought that he would waste his bet on this.

"You are wasting your bet, you know?"

Jungkook just smiled at her and said, "Believe me, I'm not wasting it. You are gonna live the best day of your life."

She just shook his head at him. She had never been to an amusement park. She used to request her parents to take her there like any other child, but her parents always stayed busy in their work and said that this place was no fun. They convinced her that this place wasn't for high standard people like them.

"This place is just a waste of time. What do people do here? Shout and scream at the top of their lungs?" she raised her eyebrow at him, while he looked at her stunned. He slightly wrapped his arm around her shoulder before making her face the rides.

"No, Yerin, It's wrong. Today I will let you know what real happiness is," he wiggled his eyebrows at her while she chuckled slightly before muttering a small 'Let's see' and walking beside him.

***

Her legs wobbled as she looked down from the roller coaster ride she was sitting on. Her eyes further widened when she looked at the rounded track of the ride. The feeling of nausea was already developing in her stomach. She looked at Jungkook as he smiled at her. She awkwardly smiled but it faded once the ride shook a little. She screamed and pleaded, "Oh, God! I don't want to ride this. Stop, I need to get out of this."

Jungkook widened his eyes before settling her back on her seat while muttering apologies to other people sitting around them. He said as he tried to calm her down, "Stop, Yerin, it's just starting. Now, you can't go down."

She stared at him in horror as she shook her head. Before she could utter anything more, the ride started with a jerking push. Yerin screamed at the top of her lungs while Jungkook laughed at her as the ride commenced and took turns. After an eternity, when the ride slowed down and her throat turned sore, she thought it was over now. However, she realized that they were actually ascending the largest loop. Her face turned pale but she felt Jungkook's grip tightening on her hand as she heard him, "Don't worry, Yerin. I'm here."

The ride reached the top and took a pause before descending down fastly, which made her scream, "Fuck you, Jeon Jungkook."

"Anytime, Lee Yerin."

She sipped her boba tea, trying to soothe her sore throat. Jungkook was still laughing at her, which made her irk at his behaviour.

"Can you just stop laughing now?"

He laughed out loud again as he said, "Why, sweetheart? Who said it was for kids?"

She rolled her eyes, ignoring the fact that they already had almost ten rides, and she was shouting like a dying duck in every freaking ride. It was already nearly evening and they already ate the lunch. Now, they were roaming around the small game shops in the fair.

Her eyes landed on the shooting game and she smiled at the sight. She was determined that she would definitely win this small game. She took her steps toward the small shop while Jungkook followed her. He finished his drink as he looked at her taking the pass. She held the shooting gun and aimed at the balloon.

Jungkook chuckled at her when all her shots gained small prizes and not the main prize, which were two bracelets. Her last shot was left as she sighed and positioned the gun. Her heart suddenly paced up as he placed his hand on her while positioning the shooting gun correctly, his chin rested on her shoulder.

"Focus, Yerin."

She shivered as his breathy voice hovered over her neck. He shot the bullet and it straight burst the central balloon, making them earn the main prize. He smiled at her as she looked into his eyes, "You were not focused at all, Lee yerin."

His eyes seemed to hypnotize her as the world faded away. He broke the eye contact and received the prize from the old man, who blessed them with a good future too. He handed her the bracelet as she stared at them. He started walking toward the last ride of the day, which is the iconic ferris wheel, while Yerin followed him from behind.

After a long wait, they were able to occupy their seats in the ferris wheel. Yerin's eyes shined as she looked at the sunset from the higher altitude. He smiled at her slightly and said, "Do you like it?"

She glanced at him briefly before turning toward the magnificent view again, "To be honest, I never thought it would be this much fun. Thank you, Jungkook. But, minus the roller coaster ride."

He laughed at her reply as she decided to keep her gaze toward the view. Jungkook always loved to see the sunset whenever he visited there, but this time he was more interested in treasuring the precious smile of Yerin at the moment. He knew what this feeling was, but still chose to ignore the fact right now. He just wanted to see her happy right now.

Yerin slightly glanced at him, before losing herself in his dark orbs. A magnetic pull made her come close to him. She slowly leaned toward his lips but frowned when he turned his face the other way.

"If you think I'm using your body, Yerin, then there is no need to do this."

She frowned upon his statement as she contemplated what happened. However, she soon realized that it had something to do with the night when she came home drunk. She sighed and said, "Did I say this on that night?"

After not getting any response she realized that it was definitely the reason. She whispered, "Jungkook, I'm sorry if I hurt you that night. I just blabber things when I'm drunk-"

"You don't blabber things, Yerin. You speak out your feelings that you have buried in your heart. Do you really think that about me?" his eyes glistened with tears as she looked into his eyes. He held her hand in his as he continued, "Believe me, Yerin, I never used you for pleasure. I hope you know that it was never that case. Never. Not even the first day."

Tears pricked her eyes as she leaned toward him and caressed his cheek. She whispered, "I trust you, Jungkook. I really do."

She slowly placed her lips on his to which he responded by pulling her closer. He cupped her face in between his hands as he tilted his head in the kiss. He softly kissed her back while she wrapped her arms around his neck. Their lips moved in sync while the background was clouded with the orange trails of sunset.

They both stepped out of the elevator as it dinged open. They both stopped in front of her apartment. She smiled at him brightly as she said, "Jungkook, it was really the best day of my life. Thank you so much. "

He smiled back at her before saying, "I'm glad that you loved it, sweetheart."

They both bid good night to each other as she turned toward her apartment. However, she halted her steps and turned around to look at him. He looked at her confused as she looked into her purse. He smiled when she made him wear the bracelet and saw her wearing the other one.

They both knew the fact that these were couple bracelets, but still chose to stay quiet and smile silently within themselves. She looked at him before leaning toward him and placing a small kiss on his cheek. She quickly went inside while he froze on his place.

This small 'cheek-kiss' had far more impact on his heart than those other kisses shared by them.
