#21. A Gift

Jimin was getting ready to leave the hotel and do some shopping for his family. His mother always wanted shoes from a brand that was created in Singapore, so he checked out a little early, leaving for the shopping mall.

He called his mother and after positively sending pictures back and forth, he bought one pair of lavender shoes. His father needed a Japanese flashlight, which he thought was a ridiculous request, but he bought one anyway.

And then he thought about Jungkook. Should I also buy anything for him? Nothing too expensive or meaningful, but something.

Since Jimin was the one who proposed the one-night thing, it was a favor he was asking regardless of whether Jungkook wanted to sleep with him earlier or not. This time, he knew that Jungkook was ready because he asked for it, and it only seemed fair that he returned the favor by buying something for the teen in return.

But what?

There were numerous brands, from economic to luxe. He wanted something that wouldn't come off as awkward either.

He walked into a make-up brand and started looking around. "Hello, sir. Are you looking for something for your wife or girlfriend?" The staff asked, looking at the shoe bag Jimin was holding in his hand.

"Um... Yeah. I don't know anything about make-up, but I'd like something which one can use on a daily wear basis?"

"Sure, sir," the girl led Jimin to sit on a high chair in front of the mirror. "What is the complexion of the person you want the make-up for?"

"Close to my skin. I think it's exactly like me."

The girl nodded and pulled out various samples. She started explaining their uses while applying them over the back side of Jimin's hand, to test the shades. "So this one is the main product... The foundation?" Jimin asked after the girl was done explaining.

"Mhm, but if you want you can also buy a fixer so that your foundation stays for a long time and is non-transferable."

"I'll take them," he picked the two items.

"Nice," the girl chirped happily. "That would be 175 dollars. But shopping above 150 has an offer. You can choose the brush sets from here worth equal to your total bill amount. Would you like that too?"

Jimin shrugged. 175 SG dollars weren't exactly cheap, so free stuff looked like a great deal. "Can you help me choose?" He requested.

Jungkook was fidgeting with his fingers. After plunging into the mishappening, Taehyung was not supportive of his online dating. He strictly monitored his whereabouts by always calling him twice a day — which Jungkook thought was bearable — because it was at least the man wasn't texting him every hour to check on him. But if Taehyung wasn't with him, his grandparents didn't allow him to step out of the house.

"When is Taehyung going to get here?" His grandfather asked, looking at him sitting in the dark by the window.

"He's almost here." Jungkook lied. Jimin was supposed to pick him up, and he was feeling anxious now.

"Come here, Kookie. Why are you staring out of the window like a zoo animal? He'll get here when he gets here."

Jungkook gulped when his phone buzzed with a text and he saw a car slowly pulling over in front of the house. He jumped. "He's here!"

His grandfather laughed as he hugged him. "Don't wait for me and go to sleep on time. I am a big boy now. I'll be back on time."

The grandfather chuckled, knowing that Jungkook wasn't exactly a kid anymore and he wanted to go out and socialize, maybe he also had a girlfriend, and the elder understood. This was the age to be free and have fun. "I won't. But come soon because otherwise, your grandma will start panicking like last time."

Jungkook nodded his head and bolted.

On the way downstairs, he dialed Taehyung's number. The man disconnected once, so he dialed again, this time, ferociously.

"What is it, Kook?"

"Hyung, I was wondering if you wanted to play something tonight?"

"Tonight?" Taehyung sounded unsure, which was what he wanted. "I can't tonight, but maybe the day after tomorrow?"

"You busy with Jin Hyung?" Jungkook chuckled nervously, wanting to know the man's exact whereabouts.

"I wish, but I have work, so we are pulling an all-nighter. I am busy, kid. I'll talk to you later, hm?"

"Okay!" Jungkook announced happily, now relieved that he didn't have to worry about Taehyung calling him, or his grandparents, which the man often did if he didn't pick up his call.

He rushed and opened the familiar car's door to get inside. Jimin looked at him and smiled nervously. The boy was in all denim attire when he was in an all-black ensemble. "You look gorgeous, Jimin." The boy grinned confidently.

Jimin heaved a sigh. There was no point in feeling nervous. They were doing it and he needed to man up and be the confident self, just like he was with women. "And you are adorable." He revered. It wasn't a lie anyway. He did find Jungkook adorable. That was why he wanted to have sex with him.

It had Jungkook blushing.

Jimin was driving towards his home soon. "So..." He began after a few seconds. "How experienced, or in your case, how inexperienced are you?"

Jungkook pressed his lips together, making the mole under his bottom lip visible to Jimin, which he had never realized was there. The man loved the placement of the mole. "You know it's not exactly a homosexual land we are living in. Our community has to hide and then the options are limited. The only way I could get anything was if someone was available in the queer group at school. But nothing romantic. Everyone is in their trying phase. The only offers I got were for gentle kissing or touching or pretty extreme domination and forcing fantasies."

Jimin realized that it really was a whole different world for them. When he could date proudly in front of the whole world, people like Jungkook were hustling for the bare minimum.

"But there are a few homosexual couples. I sure understand what you mean... You can always talk to your family and close ones, right? Wouldn't they be supportive?"

"Mabe they will," Jungkook shrugged and Jimin didn't want to press further. This was Jungkook's personal matter.

"I am sorry," he laughed. "You mentioned the straight men coming to you too. How did that happen?"

"Well," Jungkook crossed his legs on top of one other and got comfortable, surprising Jimin yet again. How could Jungkook trust him so easily? If Jimin was in Jungkook's place, he would have called the guy over at his trustworthy place for anything, but here Jungkook was, going all the way to his home. This was the generation of stupids. Thankfully for Jungkook, Jimin wasn't a psychotic murderer or a red moon in the grey sky. "He came to us after knowing about our community at school. I sucked him in the toilet at school and having a cock in my mouth was fantastic, even if he didn't exactly taste good, but I mustn't have been any good since he quickly jerked himself onto the floor and left."

"Don't you think you should be with someone who respects you?" Jimin was asking a personal question again, but the story Jungkook told didn't really sound good to his ears and he could imagine what kind of effect it must have had on Jungkook's mind and self-esteem.

The teen shrugged again.
