#16. Protector

Even though Jimin had thought he should ask for a one-night thing, he couldn't. He had to keep his urges in check, because no matter what, Jungkook was bad news. He didn't want trouble. So, he ignored his curiosity for two weeks straight.

However, he couldn't keep his eyes off of Jungkook. The boy had posted a few pictures on his Instagram, and every time he looked at any one of them, he thought to unfollow the boy and just get the hell away from the feelings that were making him dubious, but he couldn't when the teen looked better in each picture.

He was in his bed, scrolling the Twitter feed when a notification popped up.

Jungkook is live.

He wanted to click, but he didn't, and the live also lasted only a few seconds. This was hard. Harder than the decision to stop seeing Momo.

Oh... What the hell?  Thinking to chuck it, Jimin tapped on the screen and the story loaded with Jungkook looking like an emo kid with his eyes smudged with liner, black clothes, and slick hair. He didn't look like a boy, he looked like someone in his mid-twenties, the way he had done his make-up.

Make-up? Do boys even do make-up?

Jimin had never seen any man wearing make-up, except for the ones who came on TV. He watched the story again and again until a new story popped up and he watched that too.

In the second one, Jungkook looked a bit tipsy and a man was holding him by the waist. The arm of the man was visible in the frame, but not his face.

Judging by the hand, it was muscular. Jimin wondered if Jungkook was with another tinder date. Did he finally find someone to enjoy with? And did the man look better than him? Nonetheless, he realized this was ridiculous. He was the one who rejected Jungkook. He was the one who was straight and getting jealous like this over the same boy... This was atrocious.

He flopped his phone away and slept, only to have wet dreams about Jungkook and when he woke up, he found his briefs wet with the amount of pre-cum he had oozed out. He took a deep breath and then picked up his phone, seeing numerous pictures of the teen, all suggestive and sexy.

Damn it. "No more!" He growled and uninstalled Instagram from his phone.

Jungkook was getting ready in the evening. Trying to get Jimin to text him first didn't work, but his heart had jumped out of his chest when he noticed that Jimin had seen his stories last night — a victorious moment. "Kookie!" His grandmother called and he immediately hid the make-up kit that he had borrowed from a classmate.

"Grandma," he grinned cutely at the elderly woman who had stopped by his door.

"Tell Taehyung to eat here. I am making your favorite Pizza at home."

The boy dashed and pounced at the lady, hugging her and kissing her cheek. "I love you. I'll tell him."

The grandmother gently rubbed Jungkook's head, thinking that she hadn't seen him this chipper in weeks. Jungkook always had mood swings. He was always melancholic around the time of his family's death anniversary. He never liked to talk about it, but his eyes told the story. Whatever was happening with him now, she wanted it to continue so that her Jungkook always looked this happy and this beautiful.

After successfully locking the door, Jungkook looked at the make-up bag. He wanted to wear it again, but then he didn't want to make his grandparents look at him weirdly, so he decided that he could do the natural look.

Once or twice, he did use Taehyung's boyfriend's make-up when he went to his place, and he loved it. This was another form of art to him, but the canvas was one's face.

He began to prep his skin to put some foundation on and then a little bit of blush, making it look like he had naturally pink cheeks.

Right after, he rushed out of the house and ran down the stairs to walk to the cafe he was meeting with Taehyung and his boyfriend.

He was grinning ear-to-ear, thinking how having older brothers was the best thing in the world. Even if he couldn't afford to see fancy places, Taehyung brought him everywhere, like the pub he went to last night.

He opened the cafe door and sat down at a table, taking out his phone and texting Taehyung.

I've arrived. Where are you?

Will take half an hour, Kook. Order anything you want while we arrive.

OMG! Why can't you keep it in your pants? We decided on the time. I am all alone.

Then look around. Talk to some people. Maybe you'll also get lucky.

"Yeah right!" Jungkook blew raspberries sarcastically, turning two heads at him.

He looked down when a man continued to stare at him, and his instincts told him, it wasn't good.

"Hey boy," the man, who looked in his thirties, said. "Wanna join me?"

"No, thank you," Jungkook spoke politely.

"Come on!" The man now got up, grabbing the drink in his hand to move to Jungkook's table. "You are sitting all alone. I can give you company."

If Jungkook's body didn't show it, his eyes were fearsome. This is what happens when you wear make-up in the daylight like some freak! "I am waiting for someone," Jungkook answered.

That was when another man put his palm over Jungkook's shoulder, making him jump in his chair and look up. His frightened eyes suddenly twinkled. "Is there a problem?" Jimin asked, eyeing the man standing in front of them with filthy hatred in his eyes.

"No, let's just go," Jungkook held Jimin's palm, and his mind went blank as he stood up from his chair. What was the convention here? Jimin had rescued him not once, but it seemed, twice now.

Why?

This told Jungkook something about Jimin. The man was a giver, a protector, someone who loved taking care of people, someone who couldn't see wrong, someone who loved taking the command in his hand, and he wanted that command from Jimin so he could obey him... In every way possible.
