𝕳er reflection often spoke to her, making her feel hopeless, drowned by her own sour thoughts.
      Mina never really saw herself as anything more than a shadow, walking among the dark shadows of others just to avoid any unwanted attention. Afraid of what life has to offer, she is always living within the past, constantly reliving the chaos of her own mind.

The clouds are as boring as ever..
When can I leave this place?
Why haven't they come back for me yet-
Mother, why did you leave me here.. to fend for myself..? I miss you.

Wiping the tears from her eyes, Mina stands up shakily from her bed. She walks softly to the window to get a closer look at the night sky. A sky once so so beautiful now ruined and tainted by past memories and unresolved trauma. Each breath she takes is shaky and sharp. Her hair hangs in her face as a mask to hide her struggle to contain her emotions.
Mina reaches out and touches the glass, her fingers frail and cold sticking to the icy surface with ease.
      "I want to leave.. but I can't, she might come back while I'm gone." Mina whispers to herself as the door opens quietly. "Hey, hun. Who are you talking to?" Her foster mother asks her with a hurt expression on her face. Mina stays silent, not having the energy to respond or even make another sound, and removes her hand as she rests her forehead against the window.
      A few stray tears escaping from her eyes as she thinks about her mother. Oh, how dearly she misses her.. she often wishes she could just put an end to her pain, but that would be selfish..
