SAMJEON BLAST— SMPA reveals the reason, however still sceptical

Jongno District, Seoul: The blast at the government medical centre, Samjeon-dong, has been a matter of interest in the eye of the general public of Seoul for a while now. Every single citizen was in search of an answer regarding the same by the government of South Korea and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, commonly known as SMPA. The incident had taken place on 27th May 2019, while carrying out the post mortem of Han Jinwoo, a proprietor of a daily essentials store in Jamsil-dong. The bomb was said to be implanted in Jinwoo's body, but the culprit was unidentifiable.

On 31st May 2019, a press conference was held at the headquarters of SMPA with Prosecutor Choi Yujin, Senior Superintendent Lee Minho, Senior Inspector Lee Yubin and Senior Inspector Choi Jongho on the head table. The basis of this press conference was to update on their investigations. Officer Minho said, "The degree of crime is no doing of a teenager, as caught on the CCTV in Jamsil. So far, we suspect that a group of people, may it be a mob or a mafia clan, can be behind it. This also explains the presence of a sensory bomb at the blast zone, which was activated when it came in contact with atmospheric nitrogen."

Officer Lee Yubin continued, "Although we still are unable to identify who the masked teenager might be, we are still working on it perpetually. And it won't take us much time as we have increased the security checks at the railway station and are keeping a track of every single person entering or leaving the border of Seoul. Please cooperate with us for the time being." Prosecutor Yujin, however, refrained from disclosing any additional details, although people say that SMPA knows much more than what they are letting on.

Furthermore, Chief Justice Min Yoongi was found tweeting about the case, confirming the existence of a suspect. No one has a clue who this might be, some deeming that it is the masked teenager from Jamsil-dong.

Now the question is— if this is not the masked teenager under suspicion, then who is it?

Jaemin adjusts his glasses on the bridge of his nose, darting a gaze full of pride towards the old editor. "Nothing, sir. It just caught my interest."

Old Kwon lowers the manuscript from his line of sight. "Handling a case like this can be dangerous even for you."
