His eyelids became lighter the moment he opened his eyes, he felt a pain going immediately across his head as he felt tired to leave the bed. He pulled himself up and his body was heavier than before.

Jisung thought that taking that long sleep would help him regain more stamina but it only got worse. He desperately needed toxic mushrooms and blueberries, he stomach growled at the thought of that and put his hand on his belly rubbing it slightly as he didn't need to leave his bed.

He looked around and didn't find his soulmate here "Minho?" He called standing up with a difficulty as he held onto the bed supporters to land on his feet which was shivering, his heart begins to beat in abnormal speed where he clutch into his chest and start panting then look forward to begin walking as he tries to reach the door handle "Minho!" he called once again but no one responded. Jisung was able to hear the chatters and laughs coming from outside the room, he was able to spot his soulmate's voice speaking in a loud voice "MINHO PLEASE...I WANT YOU WITH ME" he shouted fluttering his eyes close as he felt his body become heavier to lift the more he walked, jisung stumbled on his legs and started falling down in the ground thinking he would faint again without feeling his soulmate but Minho heard the last call and speed up to capture him in his arms.

Minho didn't feel jisung being heavy since he owns super strength but he can tell that something is wrong with his soulmate as he starts breathing heavenly while clutching into his clothes "jisung? Clover, are you hearing me? What is wrong with you?" The demi-fae couldn't handle the pressure anymore as he screamed in pain "MINHO IT HURT" by shutting his eyes shot while Minho's right eyes widened seeing him in such conditions... He got worried and held him closely not knowing what was happening suddenly with his soulmate.

"JISUNG!!! WHAT WRONG?? WHY ARE YOU SCREAMING?!" he shakes him again but the demi-fae kept panting from pain as he clutched more into Minho to speak in weak tone "moo-moonset please...i need toxi-" he couldn't complete because he felt the need to cough strongly so he did, Minho watched in fear while rubbing his back and then was surprised to see mint blood in jisung's palm. The vampire knows what his soulmate needed so he stood up lifting his soulmate in bridal way as he hurried down stairs where Changbin and Chan were chatting but as soon as they saw the two soulmates acting unusually and somehow concerning, they knew it was something serious.

"Minho what's goi-"

"i don't know what is wrong with him but he needs toxic mushrooms, do you by any chance have them?" Changbin listened as he looked at Jisung who was shivering refusing to open his eyes while there was blood coming from his nose, he nodded at Minho and quickly went to one of his treasures where he kept rare ingredients for magic spells, he search for few seconds hearing jisung calling his soulmate "Minho it hurt... Hurts so bad" for Minho to start calming him down "it's okay sung, changbin would get you what you need"

When he found what he was looking for, he immediately returned back to where everyone was and opened the small treasure in front of Jisung who had his eyes wide upon the strong smell of the toxicity coming from the mushroom. The others weren't fans of the smell.

The cap of the mushroom was black with blue dots, the gills were yellowish in color while the stalk was brown. The demi-fae took it and consumed it, it affected his hand by leaving black marks but as soon as he swollen it, his immunity was brought back and felt better. He stretches his arms and smile feeling better but no one around him was much happy like him in the room, he immediately dropped his smile and looked at Minho who put him down on the ground. The demi-fae could feel distress, confusion, and sadness coming out from his soulmate.

"jisung...what was that?" Minho asked with concern but the demi-fae stayed silent.

"it seems like he's ill" chan suggests which causes jisung to react since a fellow Faerie like him could tell something is wrong with him. Since it is rare to get a creature with mighty immunity to get sick in vain.

"is Chan right? Are you ill Jisung?" Minho asked again for Jisung's eyes to widen not considering his situation with three closed paths, he can't lie anymore because it shows through his actions that he wasn't okay and he didn't want to tell anyone about his illness. He doesn't want to bother them.

"i i...couldn't tell you before minho I'm sorry..." he closed his eyes letting out tears not wanting for his soulmate to start treating him differently because of how weak and ill he is "I didn't want to upset you that why I tried my best to hide it... i feel pain everyday but this one was... was very unbearable and the lost of my wings reduced a lot...a lot" he hiccup biting his lower lips fighting the words to come out to say no more but it useless when he already reveled so much "of my chances of living longer" when he finished, Minho didn't believe his ear, he felt destroyed and shattered to pieces upon knowing the big secret his soulmate hid from him this time. An ugly truth that led him to a path of fantasy.

All that love he received, all those promises jisung promised, all those words Jisung swear to him... Just to be able to hide perfectly the true side of him.

Chan and Changbin on the other hand didn't know how to act upon seeing the tears coming from Jisung's eyes while Minho was frozen in front of him. They agree to leave them alone to handle this by themselves.

Jisung hugged himself as he sniffed not actually believing he revealed his secret, the ugly truth that he didn't want Minho to know but here he is... The vampire didn't utter a word and was still looking at the ground with his hair locks hiding his face... The truth was too strong to bear for him and he can't figure out how come he didn't notice it before. Jisung was brave and powerful in front of him but now he knows that was only a layer above the illness he held all this time.

"how much...how much time d-do you have?" it was the only thing that matters to Minho at this moment. He gritted his teath and looked directly at Jisung with tears in his right eye and blood coming from his other eye coloring his white eye patch with red, the pathetic sight of him tearing up made jisung cry even more and hide his face with his palms "I don't know...but it will happen very soon" his sobs can be contained because it feels cruel to him. Jisung wants to share eternity with his soulmate, he wants to wake up to Minho's face every day, to hug him and kiss him everyday, to call Minho his everyday...

"I love you Minho...i have always loved you...i love you so much...i will love you until my last breath and I'll keep loving you even after my death" jisung had the courage to step forward and embrace Minho in a huge while the vampire felt speechless to speak having deja vu from past times when he lost two precious families and now he's about to lose the third. Why does things like this keep happening to him? Why can't he have his happy ending? Why do the people around him keep disappearing?

WHY... JUST WHY?

Minho broke into tears again ignoring the pain coming from his left eye and hugged jisung back, tightly and carefully not wanting to let him go "and I promised to do the same...I'll love you even if you are gone...i love you jisung, and I'll spend my time with you until your last breath" jisung smiled upon hearing that where he closed his eyes still having the feeling that he deserves none of this. The ability to love and be free, to express new emotions and adoration, jisung won't be able to fall in love the way he does with Minho.

Jisung would always be lucky to fall in love with such a phenomenal creation and Minho would always be grateful for his heart which chose such a magnificent creation.

"I'm happy it is you who my heart is beating for, moonset"

"I'm glad you were the one who owns my heart completely, clover"

Later that afternoon, Jisung and Minho explained everything to the others. The demi-faw wanted to go back to the fairy forest since the air there will help him be more adaptable to the side effects of his illness and both friends understand that and didn't see why they have to stop them from going to the place they feel the most comfortable in.

Changbin went to the village nearby to book a carriage for the two to be landing there in safety upon their loss of stamina, Jisung thought that Chan would come with him eventually but the Faerie refused to come and chose to stay with the demi-troll instead.

"huh? Why can't you come with us? I thought you wanted to go back to the fairy kingdom?" Jisung ask oblivious of what around him, he looked at his fellow Faerie friend who just chuckled seeing him clueless. He then received a pat on his hair for Chan to start speaking "I did but, to be able to open the portal I need a full gemstone and since a part of it is transformed by your own mana in that pendant, I can't use it to go back" he pointed at the moon-clover pendent Jisung was able to form with his mana. The demi-fae can't take it as he held the necklace and give a long stare thinking if there's a way how to undo his mana maybe that thing will help his friend who helped so many times.

"no! there has to be another way...i can't take away the thing you always wish for"

"I am fine jisung...you didn't do anything wrong, I was responsible for giving you my gem necklace and it helps you defeat the queen so it's not all bad" Chan tried to convince him that it not terrible of how Jisung had the best used to the gemstone better than him but he didn't want him to think it was his fault for being unable to control his mana.

Chan is aware that whatever power inside Jisung is most likely more stronger than any creature he met.

"how about your soulmate that is waiting for you there? And your mission?" that was what bothered Jisung because if he was in Chan's place and his soulmate is waiting for him in a kingdom that can be traveled to by using magic, he doesn't think he would be as calm as he is claiming to be. The other Faerie is amazing and Jisung knows he will never become as kind and patient as him. Chan saw how worried his younger friend look so he fixed his hands on his shoulders to make him look at him- once Jisung looked up the only thing Chan was able to do is smile "I already contacted them, my soulmate is furious of course but he'll understand and the fae king will find a solution eventually and in the meantime, I'll stay here with changbin" he did actually call them but it didn't last for long. The fae king told him that he would open the portal that connects the fairy forests and the fairy kingdom together will open after two months so that Chan would be able to go back without using a gemstone.

Minho finally meddle in holding his soulmate close comforting him using their soulmate bond "don't worry Clover, he would be safe here" he said for Jisung's soul to start relaxing while syncing with Minho's that was able to calm him down.

"I am really sorry Chan, you were never a harm the day you came to the forest and I was the one who wanted you gone so badly but now...i feel guilty to be feeling that way and I'm really sorry I caused you a lot of trouble" Jisung managed to say after building a lot of courage. He let his childish side get the best of him to dislike Chan before knowing him but he was aware of his actions and the only thing to fix his mistakes is by apologizing. While Chan felt happy to see how Jisung seemed more mature since the first day he met him, it was so good to have a mature mind at a young age and he believes Jisung would be an amazing person in the future, if the illness didn't took him sooner.

"It's fine jisung, we're good" it saddens him to be aware that Jisung's existence will disappear one day so he wanted to close this book with him and be friends at least.

Before Jisung could say anything Changbin shouted from behind "GUYS THE CARRIAGE IS HERE"

Minho was fast to walk towards it but Jisung stayed behind as he hugged Chan one last time then start running while waving at him with a smile. The Faerie was a bit surprised but he managed to replace them with a fond smile waving back at the other.

When both were situated inside the carriage, Changbin give the horse tamer the address on a paper and before he could go, the demi-troll turned to the soulmate to give his goodbyesb "take good care of each other you too and Minho...uhhh" he stumbles in his sentence and that gain the other's concern "what's wrong?" Jisung asked in a worried tone. Changbin was about to say something that relates about the demi-fae being gone but he is aware it a sensitive topic to both so he stick to the basics.

"nothing just promised me Min to be strong for him"

"I promise you! And thank you for helping us Bin, I'll always remember your good deeds"

With that being said, the horses get the permission to start moving for the carriage to be guided far away taking the soulmates to their own home.

But changbin feel like something unnatural is gonna happen, his senses were so strong and he just hopes those two won't do anything to go against nature.
