Jisung:"it's so huge"

As he walked up into the castle -where he spent his first childhood at- he couldn't but be amazed of how huge it is since his last day here, he was seven years old, so naive so small and always remember how he used to get lost here and there but with his huge curiosity and some courage, seven year old jisung was able to know every way and corner at this castle.

Mary:"don't get distracted, you're here on a mission"

She brought him from his thoughts not aware that she was taking a long way to the queen room.

And talking about the queen, Jisung wasn't pleased that he was going to be seeing that woman again.

Jisung:"i know it just...it brings so many memories"

Bad ones to be precise.

Mary:"what did you say??"

Jisung:"nothing...I'm nervous"

Mother Mary had to stop in front of the throne room and before getting in with Jisung, she brought his hands and held them up to comfort him, like the sweet woman she is.

Mary:"don't worry, as long as you're by my side nothing will happen to you"

Jisung felt weird trusting those words, looking at this woman that could be a good mother to him if he was her son but he didn't let his thoughts drift him away again and nodded at her.

He's not here to get distracted like she said, he's here to save his soulmate and bring him back home.

The huge familiar doors opened letting out familiar sounds that caused Jisung to startle a little, with his childhood memory of getting into these doors after him doing anything out of his mother's sight, he would always get punished for that.

They walked for a few seconds until they reached the beginning of the stairs and there him and mother Mary kneed into the floor to show respect for the queen.

Queen:"you're here again miss Mary and you brought..."

Her eyes went directly to Jisung who was waiting for his name to be mentioned so he could look up.

It is an etiquette he was taught when he was a child.

Jisung remembers every day he spent here, his brain will afford him a past memory if he needed it.

Mary:"let me introduce you to my son, jisung he was working outside the country with his father but unfortunately, my husband had died and he came back to me"

Jisung finally raised his head, his right eye going from the Royal guards to his mother standing alone in that throne.

He looked at her and didn't find the second floor that belonged to the king who was his step father.

He wonders if she eliminated him as well.

Queen:"that is unfortunate news but I really wanted a pair of young hands that are able to help me around, what do you say jisung? Will you be my servant?"

Jisung:"I'll do my best to help you, your Highness"

As if he will let her control him.

The cell felt boring as ever, birds chirping from the window and a lot of different voices from so many directions, the one who was supposed to be watching him is in her spell book reading not giving a damn he will break free any moment.

Trix:"you still not speaking?"

Minho sighed, it has been like this for the past two days and he's getting sick of it.

If he could find a way to break himself free from these cuffs.

Minho:"like I would surrender...it takes more than locking me here to talk"

Trix slammed her book rolling her eyes of how Minho isn't showing any signs of giving up... She might underestimate him from being weak and fragile because his patience and endure capacity is more than what she expected.

Trix:"if I didn't believe you, the queen wouldn't have been untrustworthy of me now...the forest is impossible to go through now because THE REAL GUARDIAN had refilled it with his mana"

Another team went to discover the forest yesterday but they found it impossible to go through the forest anymore and they reported that to the queen.

And you could never guess how that news made Minho happy... Since his soulmate is safe there.

Minho:"the forest is protected...I'm glad the Guardian finds a way"

Trix noticed the expression he was making, she knows that smile very well.

Trix:"ewww you're smiling like an idiot...don't tell me the Guardian is a woman and you two are in love?"

Minho was taken off guard by that to think that no one knows the guardian's gender and how she assumes that what is going on between him and jisung are love.

The vampire never saw his soulmate in that way.

Minho:"like I would tell you anything about my private life"

Trix:"ewww again, so it is real...ugh disgusting utterly disgusting"

Minho:"you're just jealous because you have nobody who loves you"

Trix:"UNBELIEVABLE!! You'll pay for saying such stuff to me"

She left after then leaving Minho with his thoughts which immediately went after Jisung... His soulmate was able to protect the forest while he failed to do it.

Maybe he was a guardian for a reason since he's the one saving him from that life-death situation.

Minho:"jisung...my soulmate and my dear friend, I'm happy you're safe and okay"

He called his name a bit out loud, his cold pale cheeks were starting to get hotter by each passing second knowing very well whar his bond was doing to him.

Weird... Yuna said that the bond can be felt whenever the two soulmates are close yet he refused to believe that Jisung might actually find a way to come here to save inside the castle.

Queen:"having fun getting hungry??"

He raised his head from the ground upon hearing the queen's voice approaching him from outside the cell.

Minho:"even if I were...I wouldn't tell you"

He refuses to give up his background, his soulmate name, Chan's position and any information about the fairies.

He would rather have his head slit than betray his friends and his emperor.

Queen:"you're too good for a vampire"

These sentences have followed him in the past sixteen years and he always gets irritated by how humans can be so stupid.

Minho:"vampires aren't always evil"

Just like when there are evil humans there are evil vampires and the same goes for good vampires and humans.

Queen:"YOU KILL US TO HAVE YOUR FOOD"

Minho knows very well who's the evil in between them.

Minho:"that's because humans didn't cooperate with us...sevil was actually thinking of a solution for both regions to be in harmony but you choose to betray us"

As a vampire who has been by his emperor side for so many years, Minho had discovered that Sevil isn't as evil as he expected him to be, he never hates humans but the Queen was spying on him and using his famous serums to build an army against him.

He thought that war isn't necessary when two regions live far away from each other.

Queen:"like we don't need heartless blood suckers creatures like you to be our allies...it's better if it stays this way"

He wishes he could suck this woman's blood and kill her for how heartless she is.

Minho:"it is your loss...you'll regret both of your words and actions"

Queen:"and you'll regret not confessing and cooperating with me"

Having an alone time after that nonsense from both the witch and the queen is what Minho wants to clear his mind from anything and switched into picturing himself with Jisung.

It's so weird that he feels his soulmate so close to him like he would pop up in any moment from now but the vampire just laughs at himself for being so delusional.

He heard the door of the cell get opened again and he could swear that he will never get any peace here but instead of those two, a suspicious looking man with a cape on enter with a bucket shouting "your food is here!!"

Minho:"food? Sorry mister but I think you got the wrong cell"

He watched as the man put down the bucket and got down on his knees in front of Minho, his hands going to his cape hood to reveal his face.

Minho's left eye suddenly got wide when he saw who was behind that hood.

Jisung:"I think I am in the right one"

He's not dreaming right?

Minho moved from the floor and moved closer to his soulmate using his knees.

It was really his soulmate.

Minho:"sung...you- you came for me..."

Jisung cupped his cheeks feeling sad to see Minho in this situation, he started rubbing his thumb against his cold pale cheeks which were getting hotter the more he rubbed them more.

Jisung:"you're my soulmate so of course I would come to save you"

The vampire felt so happy that he was about to cry upon seeing the demi-fae again... He wanted to hug him so bad.

Minho:"how about the fairies? Are they safe?"

Jisung:"they are fine, I had to drop them at the forest spirit since I didn't want them to come with me"

Minho:"you shouldn't be here sung, it's dangerous"

Jisung smiled and leaned to leave a light kiss on the other's pointy nose, suddenly getting the courage to make a bold move on his soulmate after realizing how he feels for him but it seems like Minho is so slow to pick that... That Jisung loves him more than just a friend.

Jisung:"I care about you Minho, you are my soulmate and I came here just for you, to bring you back to the forest, to our home"

Minho blushed upon hearing Jisung calling the forest "their home" but he realized his situation and it can be dangerous that both of them cannot handle it.

Minho:"sung...the queen she-"

He put his finger on his mouth shushing him knowing already what that woman was able to do but he got a plan.

Jisung:"I know...she hasn't changed a bit"

It is sad to know that his mother was the same woman from seventeen years ago, the only thing that didn't change is her youth since she has been wearing an immortal necklace she stole from Sevil like how Changbin explained.

Minho:"changed? Wait...you know her before?"

Jisung just realized that he hasn't told his soulmate about his mother's identity but now isn't the right time since he doesn't have time to waste... He would tell them to teleport back to Changbin's house.

Jisung:"no time for chit chat, I'll teleport us back to Changbin's shop with this"

He stands up, holding one of Minho's cuffed hands and turning on the gem necklace with his mana with wishing and wanting to get out of here with Minho just like how Chan taught him.

But as the gem grows lighter, Minho realized that Jisung was making a mistake.

Minho:"WAIT JISUNG YOU CAN'T-"

A huge wave of light blinded him but as soon as he opened his left eye again, Jisung was no longer gone.

Minho:"it is useless to cast magic while I'm like this"

When he first opened his eyes, he succeeded in getting into Changbin's workshop but the only thing missing was his soulmate.

Jisung:"what happened? Where's Minho? I swear he was in my reach"

The demi-troll dash towards him the moment he hears his voice, since he knows right away that Jisung mess up, he grabbed his collar end brought him closer with angry expression.

Changbin:"did you use the necklace powers while he was cuffed up?"

Jisung lookee clueless but he nodded anyway and at that time, Chan approached them after going towards Changbin and pulled him away from the demi-fae.

Chan:"jisung...you waste a teleportation chance because you didn't let Changbin explain to you what is in there"

Jisung:"i-i don't understand...what did I do wrong? I only wanted to save him"

He looked at his hands, having the urge to cry not believing he failed again.

Changbin:"look...if you wanna be back there, you have to use the necklace again to go to the palace"

He put a hand on his shoulder to comfort him but Jisung raised an eyebrow not understanding why he should teleport back.

Jisung:"why don't we wait for mother Mary instead??"

He turned to look at the demi-troll who already lost it and got enough of his stupidity.

How is he chosen to be the Guardian of the fairy forest if doesn't think like a proper guy.

Changbin:"YOU DUMB NUT!! mother Mary is a gardener there and she won't be back in three days, you think you can wait for that long considering Minho's condition"

Jisung:"n-...no"

Chan:"if you are going to use it again then let us explain to you what you need to do"

Jisung felt guilty that he let down these two and couldn't save Minho, he clutch into his necklace, the sorrow and sad feelings morph in powers that gather in his palm that travel tothe magical gem stone.

The demi-fae wasn't aware he was filling the necklace with mana again.

Changbin:"this time...don't blow it up or you'll get your wings ripped off from your back seriously this time"

Jisung knows the consequences of having his wings ripped, his heart countdown will decrease and he won't be having much time to live after that.

So he needs to be careful.

Chan and Changbin showed him the way to use the necklace properly.

When Jisung was ready to go, he knew what his heart wanted and what his soul needed so he closed his eyes holding onto the necklace to teleport again into the castle.

But as he arrived close to Minho's cell...

Four guards surrounded him.

Jisung:"ohh...shit"
