When they arrived home, Chan was sleeping on Minho's bed since he needed rest and there were no other rooms for him to stay in so taiyo welcomed them alone and all three fairies left again to bring the mushrooms for Jisung.

Minho:“what's up with you and mushrooms? Is it another favorite food or something?”

Jisung shot him with a forced smile getting nervous on how to answer that, since mushrooms were part of his illness treatment alongside blueberries because this diet was important for him as well as for body activities that keeps his heart updated every month without getting out of line.

Jisung:“it's just another important meal for me, they have so much energy on them that is good for my health”

He finds an excuse to avoid telling him the reason for these mushrooms being an important meal in his treatment.

Minho nodded learning new information about his soulmate and he thought of the time he spent here so far and all the recipes that Jisung was using

Minho:“I see, then you'll let me cook something different with those mushrooms rather than that soup”

He exclaimed with Jisung chuckling, since he can't cook and Minho is volunteering himself to do that, he feels like him and his soulmate are completed.

Jisung:“if it feels like you are my wife and you're taking care of me, it's nice”

Minho shot him with a wide eye as his cheeks start to heat up feeling the same as Jisung and could sense that he wasn't lying but serious about .

Minho:“your...wife?”

He couldn't believe his right eye, it hasn't been a year and here's his soulmate calling him like that, and he thought that what they have was some sort of best friends vibe.

Jisung loves to see the flustered expression on his soulmate's face, it is so cute to watch him this way and it always causes his heart to beat very rapidly but he soon realizes that he mistook the noun and was quick to correct himself.

Jisung:“ohh shit...i meant my husband”

At this moment, Minho can't know if it jisung is acting like this or it the soulmate bond that's pushing him to say something like that so he was curious to know, he looked down at his lap averting his right eye to the side still blushing with playing with his fingers as he said the next sentence.

Minho:“what makes you say that?”

Jisung:“because when two decide to live forever, they are called husband and wife rights...but in our cases, it's two husbands”

That made Minho raise his gaze from the ground and look at Jisung who was looking back at him with heart eyes.

They made eye contact after, where both eyes were focused on each other as they study the others expression very closely since they naturally snuggled to one another. it was Minho's first time to wander his right eye  from Jisung's right brown eye to his green one then to his nose, to his fluffy cheeks where he found a mole decorating his left cheek and for the final thing his lips...he looked the longest at that fluffy heart shaped mouth as he licked his own lips out of thirst and the same lips were formed into a smirk that results in Minho to look at overall jisung's expression and found him with a silly smirk and wiggly eye brows since Minho was caught staring at his lips.

The vampire quickly jumped out from Jisung's gaze and hit him on his forehead for the demi-fae to let out “owww that's hurt” while scratching his new light bruise.

Minho:“I'm not your wife, we're not husbands... you never met a woman in your size before so that's why you're acting this way towards me”

He explained the reason he came up with yet Jisung still was unconvinced with the idea of finding a partner that is a woman, which caused him to wear a disgusting face.

Jisung:“the only woman I know in my life was my mother and she wasn't the best example”

He tried to remember her but his memory was so fuzzy and unclear since it had been seventeen years since he last saw that woman and he won't ever be in her sight again... He hates her with all of his might.

Minho:“not every woman is the same”

He fixed his palm on top of Jisung's nuckles trying to comfort him, he knows that humans are a sensitive topic to him -especially his mother- that's why he always avoid talking about them but if his soulmate want to find a partner to live long with, then a fairy or a vampire might help.

Jisung:“and what if I don't want a woman, what if I want you?”

This straightforwardness is getting out of control... Minho looked at him with a wide eye blushing again while looking at Jisung's serious expression, at that moment he knows that his soulmate had nothing to do with his confession and the demi-fae really wanted to have him as a partner to spend forever with.

But the vampire was strong to not fall for those eyes.

Minho:“you're saying nonsense again, don't talk to me”

He let out a calm tone with a disappointed expression making Jisung panic that he might have messed up and confessed at the wrong time.

After a few minutes, the fairies came bringing a lot of mushrooms with them that they picked up from the field, as they were fixing the kitchen to start cooking Minho and Jisung came to them and the vampire told them he wants to try a new recipe for the demi-fae and the fairies don't have a reason to go against that.

Where all four were making lunch, Jisung's eyes refused to stop following his soulmate because he was cute giving orders to the fairies to help him in cooking but his smile dropped once he remembered the talk they did earlier.

The red fairy noticed his sulking face so she flew from the kitchen towards the dinning table and asked him about his condition.

Remy:“What's wrong Ji?”

Jisung was about to answer her about Minho refusing to be his husband but then he remembered that he let his feelings control over him and forgot that he suffered from an illness.

He made a stupid move, instead of telling his soulmate about his disease he keeps building up fantasies and white lies over his ugly truth.

Jisung just wants to cry for letting Minho unaware of what awaits him and that is his death.

Jisung:“nothing, I'm just hungry”

He received his plate where he stared at it with guilty eyes that raised his head meeting Minho's gaze, the vampire noticed that his soulmate wasn't feeling mentally unwell and he thought that it might be because of his rejection.

Jisung is being ridiculous.

Minho:“don't sulk too much and consume your food”

The demi-fae sighed where he picked up the wooden fork and dug into his plate where he couldn't find himself stopping until he finished his food.

Jisung:“this is good..what is it?”

Minho chuckled seeing his soulmate finishing up his meal with a wide smile asking him what the ingredient was which was something simple.

Minho:“mushrooms salad, I mixed all the mushrooms with lettuce and olive oil”

Yet the vampire is still impressed by how he can eat those toxic mushrooms that can kill anything except for fairies.

Chan:“you guys are already here?”

The other fairy joined them after he heard some noise when he woke up, he decided to join them and learn about their journey to the holy place of the forest tree.

He took a seat besides Jisung who didn't like being near him, maybe he just got sensitive of the topic of being abandoned and not getting born in the fairy kingdom like Chan, he thought he was jealous because of that but looking at another creature like him cause him to almost vomit everything that he ate.

Minho:“we arrived an hour ago”

Jisung looked at Minho who looked back at him where they started staring at each other again, the vampire was quick to avoid his gaze from how embarrassing it was in front of someone and that made the demi-fae smile. He felt grateful that he wasn't born in the fairy kingdom, he felt grateful that he got abandoned. Because who would meet Minho if something like that didn't happen to him, Jisung was so happy that everything led to Minho at the end.

Jisung(💭):«I'm happy you found me»

His soulmate would be his first and last happiness in his cursed life.

Chan:“sorry I couldn't welcome you, I slept while waiting for you guys”

He scratched the back of his neck feeling a bit ashamed that he couldn't be there when they arrived from a trip that was consistent in helping him, but Minho soon smiled and wanted to assure him the opposite.

Minho:“it's fine and we found something that might be helpful for you”

Chan's eyes were lit with sparkles from hearing that and he could finally see himself stepping his feet into the fairy kingdom again.

Jisung:“the forest spirit said that you need some gem necklace to be able to suppress the banned walls of the fairy kingdom”

His smile immediately dropped and his eyes went wide upon hearing what Jisung just said about the necklace.

Both soulmates noticed the sudden change of aura around Chan.

Chan:“ohh no”

Minho:“what's wrong?”

The fae touched his bare neck once the vampire wondered what was wrong with him and at that very moment, the blonde fae caught Minho's gaze and shook his head.

Chan:“i don't have that necklace”

Jisung:“WHAT?!”

His voice reached all across the house where the fairies joined this conversation and his mind couldn't function the way Chan stuck to live here forever, he doesn't want that.

In the meantime, Minho was unlike Jisung, he was worried about his other fairy friend safety where he put his cold hand on chan's shoulder and titled his head to the side to ask him about the necklace.

Minho:“you don't remember when you left it?”

Chan tried to remember by closing his eyes replaying the memories of how he succeeded in escaping from the human queen after she stripped him from his wings, he remembered how fast his legs took him out from that massive castle towards this forest where he lost all his stamina and fall onto the ground unconscious to find himself inside of house the next day.

Chan:“I remember when I was running away from the human kingdom, it was around my neck but the moment I opened my eyes, I was in your house and...”

Minho held his chin closing his right eye to remember if he actually brought Chan with the necklace or not yet again, he was the one who treated his wounds and his hand mechanical memory isn't familiar with the action of removing a necklace.

Minho:“it was not there”

The room went into silence not expecting Chan to lose the only tool that could take him to the fairy kingdom, and it irritates Jisung.

Jisung:“you got to be kidding me”

He doesn't want that, he can't let another person live in the same house with him and Minho, he would have to build him a house away from them.

That sounds like a good idea.

Chan:“I might drop it somewhere at the place Minho collected me from”

He said looking at the vampire who nodded his head.

Minho:“then we can go there tomorrow and start searching for the necklace to help you go back to your home”

Chan smiled while getting up and holding the vampire's hand with his as he felt grateful that not every vampire is bad and Minho is the best example of them.

He thought that Minho can be a great leader and emperor for his own race but he doesn't know that the person in front of him hates that empire and his own race to death.

Chan:“I owe you a lot Minho, you are so kind”

Minho smiled back happy to be able to help others as it was his favorite thing to do even before coming here so he felt grateful that Chan found them instead of something else.

The view of the two smiling at each other made Jisung feel sick and he almost wanted to vomit what he ate again.

Jisung(💭):«this is annoying»

The next day, all the three woke up and got ready for their mission today that consists of finding the necklace that belongs to Chan which could help him to get back to the fairy kingdom, since Minho & Yuna know the way towards the place where they found Chan last time so they were responsible for leading the rest into the woods.

Chan:“you sure it's from here”

Minho nodded his head with giving him a smile, there was a tree trunk on their way where he thought of Chan's injured leg so he held his hand and guided him through the obstacles where the blonde smiled and muttered a small “thank you”

As soon as he let go of his hand, Minho turned to him again to answer his confusion of the way to the place where they hoped to find his necklace.

Minho:“yeah, Yuna was with me that day and she also knows the way”

The blue fairy did a peace sign toward the demi-fae who felt uneasy remembering that day Minho brought a stranger to his house.

Jisung:“i should have woken up early and gone with him that day”

He regrets oversleeping in that day and since then he has been waking up early before everyone else just to prevent something similar from happening.

Remy was just like Jisung not liking the way Minho brought another fairy here but she had to be polite and not cause a scene since it would upset the vampire and her sisters because they are fond of Mr.Chan over there.

Remy:“don't worry, we will find this necklace eventually, give it to him and then send him off”

Jisung chuckled at her straightforwardness yet he couldn't but be happy that Remy was feeling uneasy like him because of the presence of the blonde.

Jisung:“hopefully we will be able to do that”

Everyone stopped when they looked at Minho not going further, he kept looking back and forth from three directions separated by trees in the middle. Chan was confused as hell not understanding the reason why everyone stopped walking until Minho spoke in the next sentence.

Minho:“i feel something in three directions...do you want to split up?”

Chan“why?”

Minho smiled as he looked back at everyone assuring them that everything is okay, while it was completely the opposite.

Minho feels three souls that invaded the forest and he believes those were intruders, he doesn't know how they got in but he can't risk going there with his soulmate and Chan. So he needs to distract them with the separating plam.

Minho:“it would be easier, we would meet in this same spot again if we found something”

Jisung frowned not liking the idea that his soulmate suggested where he started walking towards him and held him by his elbow still refusing to accept this.

Minho was taken off guard by his soulmate seeming vulnerable for the first time to him where he could feel Jisung's soul being scared and insecure, the exact opposite of what it usually is.

Jisung:“I'm not going without you”

The vampire hugged him by wrapping his arms around the demi-faw scooping him with his biceps and for Jisung to snuggle his face on his soulmate's chest while climbing his hands on his thick shoulders feeling at ease now that he is in his embrace.

Remy:“come on Ji, you've been going on journeys alone since your childhood”

Those fairies are dumb to think that Jisung can live without his soulmate after discovering him... Nothing can take his Minho away from him and he would make sure to protect him at any cost.

The fierce feelings came back and Minho smiled knowing that Jisung is brave to not let those insecurities bring him down.

Jisung:“it's not about me, I'm worried about his safety”

Jisung let go of Minho's shoulders and fixed them on his waist bringing him closer with a strong tone which brought his soulmate back. The vampire was grateful for how important he is to Jisung and to let him know that there's no need to be worried about him.

Minho:“look at me...I'm going to be okay, I'll bring you some blueberries if I find some”

Jisung felt his heart sink not knowing why he got this feeling that Minho isn't going to come back or something bad would happen to him...that why he leaned his head to collide it against his soulmate's feeling scared again.

Jisung:“promise to come back?”

Minho furrowed his eyebrows feeling the sorrow coming from Jisung again, he felt useless at the moment before getting closer and brushing their nose together with closing their eyes.

Minho:“I promise, clover”

Jisung looked at Minho with shining eyes, his lips curled up forming a satisfied smile because his soulmate had called him by that, it made him so happy that he hugged him again for the vampire to let out a sound "oof" but he soon put a smile himself knowing that the demi-fae was happy he called him his clover.

Now each one has a nickname for the other.

The other fairy looked at the two being happy in each other's embrace, he felt a sting in his heart remembering his own soulmate that he left at the fairy kingdom and upon looking at both Minho and Jisung, he couldn't but miss his soulmate and his home.

Chan:“I'm sorry for helping me cause you all this stress”

Since he came here, he always felt like a burden for taking all the space and time from their life, more  like a homewrecker.

But he's grateful that they were very kind to even help him go home.

Jisung:“I was mad at you but you are the reason Minho called me by clover, so I don't have a reason to hate you anymore”

Chan chuckled still amazed by the other's straightforwardness, it reminds him of the time he was still immature like him... He shivers remembering the bad old days, he used to rebel causing troubles until the king picked him up and with that he was able to meet his soulmate.

Minho:“you are so weird”

Jisung:“no, I'm your clover and you are my moonset”

The demi-fae giggles looking up at his soulmate with an adoring smile for Minho to widen his right eye realizing how adorable Jisung can be, the vampire might fall in love with him at this case.

Chan:“I think I'm going this way”

He pointed at the left road where Minho did a relief sigh glad that Chan didn't pick the way which leads to those intruders.

Minho:“I'll go this way”

He starts walking towards the way he feels the intruders are coming from leaving the safest way to his soulmate to take but before he could face what outcome him from troubles, Jisung called him from behind...

Jisung:“Minho...please be careful and come back to me safe”

Minho tuned towards the demi-fae as he smiled at him with nodding his head unaware that he won't be coming back after that call.
