Chan was swiping the pages of the guide book that Jisung had in his kitchen because it has a rounder and bigger table for all the books he read so far, apparently no one knows the way to the fairy land through this forest and the fairies were no help either since they were born to protect this forest and not going through the warning and banned walls.

Chan:"i can't believe that you have all those books about the forest yet there's no knowledge about the fairy land in your head"

He complains reading through the paragraphs not finding anything useful that could bring him back to the fairy land since both Jisung and Minho don't know about such a place which is useless to ask them about something they don't know exists.

The other fairy on the other side wasn't happy to be getting this treatment from Chan and he wasn't forced to know about this fairy land or whatever, the forest was his home for 17 years alongside the fairies and now he got his life partner, his soulmate... He can't ask for anything more.

Jisung:"that's because i'm not interested in living in the fairy land"

Chan shut the book with a little bit of force and looked at him with complete confusion and irritation from the words that came out from his mouth.

He cannot believe that Jisung isn't a little bit curious about the kingdom, it's every creature's dream to be there yet this man was blind to see that.

Chan:"you're a fairy...how come you were never interested in living alongside your origins"

The raven head furrowed his eyebrows at that question just for his eyes to wander around the house and spot his soulmate smiling with the fairies while picking up books from that reading area that could help Chan with his problem.

Jisung:"what I want for myself is to get stronger"

With a firm tone and strong gaze, he looked at Minho and remembered the day he found him almost dead in the forest and as much as he wanted to remove that memory from his head but he kept it to remind himself that Minho needed him and Jisung promised himself to be there for him until he died.

Chan saw how Jisung's eyes lit up with intensity while looking at the vampire and he couldn't but wonder what his true intentions of this wanted passion were.

Chan:"Stronger to do what?"

Jisung:"to be able to protect my soulmate, the one that I've been waiting for for over a decade...I wanna be stronger for Minho"

Chan raised his head a little bit impressed by that, he never witnessed such loyalty before and Jisung is ready to die for his soulmate which he found very interesting that those two got each other at least.

Minho:"what did I miss?"

The vampire brought those books from the bookshelves about the fairy kingdom where he put them in front of the blond fae who quickly switched books yet at the same time, Minho sat beside Jisung...closer this time.

Jisung:"Chan was just telling me about how I should be curious about fairy land since I was a fairy and I should search about my origin too"

Minho chuckled at how sarcastic Jisung's tone sounded to him, he thinks that there's nothing wrong to not be curious about everything and as long as Jisung is happy with what he have then that what matters.

Minho:"you don't want that? to know who you are?"

Jisung dragged a book towards him where he opened one page which consists of drawn pictures of what looks like the fairy kingdom but he immediately shut the book down -uninterested- and put his hand on top of Minho's cold one that was fixed on top of the table besides the book.

He looked at it for a brief time while rubbing his thumbs against his knuckles, Minho stared at Jisung's face and wondered what his soulmate was thinking about.

Jisung:"I know very well who I am and where I belong... The forest is my home, the fairies are my friends and I'm the guardian of the only person I want to protect and that is my soulmate"

He leans a little bit closer to whispering the last sentence in Minho's ear that turned red along with his pale cheeks where he let out a shy chuckle getting happy with the attention he's receiving from Jisung.

While the soulmates were being very domestic with each other, Chan had finally reached a chapter in the book his read and found what he has been looking for.

Chan:"YESS!! I FOUND A WAY!!"

He stood up from his place cheering for himself that he found a way to the fairy land, Taiyo that was sitting on his shoulders had flown away from there towards the book where it was open at some page with big fonts that said "THE FOREST SPIRIT"

Taiyo:"the forest spirit? Why haven't we thought about him before..."

Cham stopped swinging his hands against the air just to put them down and turned to look at the yellow fairy who was still fixed on top of the box not believing what she said and giving het a shocked face.

Chan:"you know about him?"

He took a seat on the wooden chair again with putting his both arms on top of the table and leaning his head closer for Taiyo to answer but he got that from another perspective.

Remy:"he's the true protector of this whole forest, me and the fairies were under his instructions for enough time to gain helpful knowledge for Jisung around the forest"

She explained having her arms crossed, her tiny eyes looking up with a smile thinking she knew it all, while her sisters just ughed at her showing off the information they all learned together.

Jisung approached the table to swipe the book pages reading so fast with his eyes and then he reached a part which says the origin of the forest spirit isn't just any spirit that had no attachment or died before, it says that he is still alive.

Jisung:"you think the forest spirit knows the way to the fairy land?"

He held the heavy book in his hands and kept reading about the mysterious appearance of the forest spirit 24 years ago along with this whole massive place birth which is weird since it all happened when he was born which is an unexpected coincidence.

The fairies were actually happy that Jisung is finally curious about the forest, well... If it wasn't for Minho's existence the fairy man would still refuse to read those books and go on adventures instead.

Yuna:"of course he does!! He was a fairy before and he lives in the fairy kingdom too, his spirit was separated from his body under a spell the fae king had cast on him so he would be able to protect the forest from every intruder and evil spirits"

Everybody nodded with mixed emotions, all three including the vampire weren't sure if they would be in the same situation to get separated from your body and live as an invisible skinless living being... They respect his massive loyalty he got for the king.

Minho:"then where is his body?"

Remy:"back in the fairy kingdom, the spirit is tasked to protect this forest until the human race stops threatening our region"

The vampire race were just exactly like the fairies but less kind and peaceful but even with that much difference of personalities yet you can find lovers and life partners from both kingdoms but that isn't common since humans are after fairies because they are less easy to handle unlike vampires which was the forest spirit to protect anyone coming through because such a road to the fairy land exist in this forest.

Meanwhile, Jisung was more worried about the spirit not being able to go to where it belongs.

Jisung:"what if that didn't happen?"

He asks a dumb question for an obvious answer.

Chan:"the spirit would be stuck in this forest protecting it forever"

Yuna:"exactly"

There was a silence after everyone was aware of the true identity of the forest spirit and his sacrifice of his own life just to serve the king in protecting the fairy kingdom from unwanted intruders.

Minho:"so he's the only one who can help you"

He pointed at Chan with a confused look for the fairy to nod at him with a soft smile.

Chan:"yeah...but I am not in the condition to walk around yet so I have to wait for a few days"

Jisung didn't like the word "days" because he didn't handle Chan for two days and he can't do that anymore... He misses his lonely time with Minho where there's no one to interrupt them whenever they have their own time for themselves so he comes up with the best idea to avoid being away from the other fairy.

Jisung:"me and Minho can go together and ask him for you"

He raised his hand with an excitement filling his tone, Minho smiled at him for suggesting to go together to help Chan.

But little did the vampire know that wasn't Jisung intention in helping him out of hospitality like he did to him back then.

No... Jisung just wanted to get rid of Chan so he enjoys his full attention and time.

Minho was HIS SOULMATE after all.

Remy:"who's going to take after Mister.Chan?"

Remy asked a bit disappointed from how Jisung is behaving, not like how she raised him in the past 17 years but taiyo being the smartest yet more sophisticated than her two sisters, she actually noticed the fairy man's true needs on why he decided to go with Minho alone.

Taiyo:"us three, of course...who else...Jisung isn't going on a journey for us to accompany him, he's old enough for this task"

Taiyo decided to give Jisung the benefits of the doubt, while Yuna the most naive fairy out of all the three decided to agree with her yellow sister and go along against Remy.

Yuna:"she's right"

The oldest fairy sighed feeling defeated as nobody was on her side and against the idea of Jisung and Minho going alone together so she decided to let it slide for this time.

Remy:"anyways...you guys go and don't make it long"

Jisung actually smiled with his teeth upon receiving permission from the fairies as he turned his head toward the vampire and held him by his hand and looked at his right eye that wasn't seeing anything except for him.

Jisung:"let go, my soulmate"

Minho smiled at him, nodding his head letting out a chuckle as he was the one to start dragging each other towards the exit instead of Jisung who just let himself be dragged by his soulmate while chuckling along.

Something Minho wasn't expecting it to go out of track, away from their destination since Jisung decided to take him to the magical lake they visited last time.

Minho:"Mister jisung...where are we going? Aren't we supposed to ask the spirit and go back?"

The forest spirit's inn is in the opposite way, his soul lives in a massive thousands of years old tree... It was such a holy place but Jisung didn't like going there because of how many hours he had to endure getting lectured by the spirit.

Jisung:"where's the fun in that? I finally have you alone since Chan joined us, I want to enjoy you away from them"

His intention of having Minho to himself was revealed but the vampire was more worried about his soulmate's health condition so he moved his hand and put on top of his chubby cheeks and caresses it softly feeling his soft skin against his finger print.

Minho:"but aren't you tired from a long day of exploring?"

Jisung held minho's hand with closing his eye leaning to the wholesome touch that caused his stomach to aches, he went on a forest stroll this morning and Minho didn't want him to get anymore tired which the fairy find adorable that he's getting taken care of.

Jisung:"my day passed with only thinking about you, I couldn't focus on my hunting today"

He suddenly chooses to be straightforward and confesses that he only was thinking about him all day and it leads Minho to let go off his cheeks and get flustered.

Minho:"ohh...i see..."

After finding the perfect spot at the lake, Jisung went to the place that had his eyes on and quickly put the fabric on top of the grass to avoid being dirty.

He walked to Minho again to go behind him and start pushing him from his back towards the space where he pointed with his hand at the fabric hugging the ground.

Jisung:"sit over here"

Minho didn't complain and obeyed his soulmate as he slowly went down to sit on top of it while Jisung followed his actions after seconds and kept staring at him which caused him to be confused.

Minho:"what are we doing?"

Jisung:"picnic"

He immediately answered him without blinking and still looked at his soulmate's right eye.

Minho:"picnic?"

It is time for Jisung to look somewhere else from minho's right eye, he's now looking at his lips admiring that bright red pink color he have as natural beauty but Minho wasn't affected by it since he know his soulmate is innocent and naive unlike him but his only concern is to know what's inside his mind at this moment.

Welp, Jisung is just thinking of kissing Minho at this point but he still doesn't know why he want to do that and he won't be able to do it until he finds out... His innocence would be a pain in the butt throughout the whole volume.

Jisung:"yes! It's a short picnic without food so we're just going to sit and talk"

He tried to not think about kissing his soulmate in this moment and decided to enjoy his time with him instead, he finally answered Minho's concerns who just smiled thinking about his intentions being pure and innocent just like him.

Minho:"I don't mind that"

The fairy man gives him a smile then turns to look around their surroundings to find it unbelievable like last time.

Jisung:"it nice isn't it?"

Minho nodded looking around the trees and fireflies while listening to the sound of water emanating from the waterfall near them as he started to relax with nature.

Minho:"yes...the place is phenomenal"

Jisung wasn't paying attention to the nature around them anymore as he kept looking at his soulmate for the 53472th time and he won't ever get sick of it.

He took it as a chance to look at Minho even closer and study his facial beauty from his lashes that were visible to his pointy nose that looks perfect, there was a beauty mark mole on the side of his nose and his lips were shaped like a bow, his silver hair shines against the fireflies light and pointy ears were getting red out from the chilly temperature around the area.

Jisung was lucky to witness such beauty.

Jisung:"very phenomenal"

Minho turned to him once he said that and found him looking at him with fondness he recognized very well but that didn't make him anywhere flustered because he got used to his soulmate's personality by now.

Minho:"you're supposed to look at the view not me"

He chuckled that out but Jisung was quick to change the topic.

Jisung:"have you had a picnic with anybody before?"

Minho's smile dropped and his right eye got widened upon getting this question and as much as he hated to answer it but he refused to be secretive from his soulmate.

Minho:"yes I have...it wasn't too long ago"

Minho's tone wasn't the best and Jisung noticed that so he furrowed his eyebrows and put his hand on top of Minho's who looked at him with a dumbfounded expression.

Jisung:"you wanna talk about it?"

The vampire hide his right eye with his hair as he looked to the left, not sure if he should open to his soulmate or not. yet seeing how Jisung is mindful to ask him if he was okay talking about something that disturbs him, made Minho realize that the other deserve to know about him and about the truth.

Minho:"it is about the humans that I used to spend my time with before coming here, we all used to go on picnics with the orphan kids and Valeria-uhm... That the nun of the orphanage"

Woah, he hasn't spelled her names since the manipulative swap and he doesn't want to remember that day because hell, he was so awkward and new to everything and everyone.

Jisung:"you miss them?"

He tightened his grip around Minho's hand, not knowing why he's feeling jealous that someone crept Minho's mind instead of him. but he try to look at it from the bright side, and maybe these humans weren't bad like the humans the fairies told him about and it actually made Minho happy before.

Minho:"well, yeah sometimes...but being with you makes it better, I get distracted so I'm glad you are an immortal like me...we don't have to fear anything"

Jisung froze as Minho grabbed his hand and put it on top of his cold pale cheeks while listening to his words.

Yes, true that both of them were immortals and can live longer than humans... but in Jisung situation, his condition can't let him live longer than 5 years. He's getting weaker and weaker and if it wasn't from the treatment he got from the fairies that consist of training his heart with going to those journeys and outings to avoid the heart strike that could kill him along with the cure of the toxic mushrooms and blueberries he consumes every day which were good for his disease.

Up until now, Jisung was living his life just to stay alive and to fulfill his dream of meeting Minho, but he knows it won't last long and he needs to tell him about it.

Jisung:"Minho...i have something to-"

His sentence was interrupted by Minho putting his head on his shoulders with squeezing his eyes not imagining how life could be without Jisung.

Minho:"please don't die on me, I can't handle losing you as well"

Jisung wanted to cry, cry so bad because Minho's only wish was for him to stay alive and that the thing Jisung can't do to him... He can't live with him forever.

Jisung:"we should go search for the forest spirit"

Minho's other free hand was wrapped around Jisung's waist with shaking his head against his neck not wanting these moments with Jisung to come to an end as he loves to spend all of his time with him not wasting it on anything else.

Minho:"can we stay here for a little bit before we go? I'm beginning to relax"

Jisung did the same by putting his other hand on Minho's waist and copy his action of putting his head on the other shoulders, where both didn't know that they were intentionally cuddling and the warmth of Jisung's body fused with Minho's cold body temperature give indeed the best outcome and neither of them was feeling hot or cold... It was the magic of their bond or maybe because they are so into each other to notice.

Jisung:«I really should tell him the truth before it's too late»
