After the longest hours of Eddie's life, besides dealing with the Upside-Down of course, he was finally let out of the courtroom as an innocent man. Some people walked by congratulating him while others scowled at him still fully convinced that he should be locked up or banished from the town.

Walking out Eddie massaged the side of his head as he felt a massive headache starting to form.

"Hey, Eddie, you okay there?" Steve asked as they walked to his car. "Um, yeah, just a headache is all. Might be from the stress of today." Eddie answered as Steve nods entering the driver's side.

"Okay, well, since we're in the car feel free to take a nap. Maybe that might help you a bit." Steve suggests as Eddie gets into the car as well. "Yeah, I think I'll do that," Eddie says leaning his head on the window, slowly closing his eyes as the vehicle began to move.

"Eddie, hey, it's time to get up." A voice called out, at first Eddie just shrugged it off thinking that it was Steve who was trying to wake him up but eventually, the voice became more clear and it sounded strangely like... (Y/n)! Eddie's eyes flew open as he noticed he was out in an open field, (Y/n) stood a few feet away from him with a smile on his face, and no bite marks in sight. "Took you long enough, I was starting to think you forgot about dear old me." (Y/n) says lifting a hand to his forehead pretending as if he was going to faint.

"I-I, (Y/n), but-but you... You're supposed to be..." Eddie begins to stutter as he scrambled onto his feet letting the last words die in his mouth. "Dead?" (Y/n) asked the sky suddenly became a dark gray as thunder could be heard and lightning struck the world around. The gray turned into red as the field around them looked similar to the Upside-Down.

"Yeah, I am, no thanks to you! You left me there! I gave up everything to buy you guys more time and what did you do? You left me there to rot!" (Y/n) says as the bite marks start to appear all over his face, his eyes begin to cloud up as the light is sucked out of them. "I gave away my whole life for you, I never had the chance to be a kid because I wanted to make sure you had a better chance at having a good life... You killed me." (Y/n) says as Eddie watched with wide eyes tears streaming down his face as he shook his head.

"No, no, no, I-I didn't! I didn't do it! I didn't mean to!" Eddie shouts as he steps back trying to get away from (Y/n) but with every step he took (Y/n) took one as well. "(Y/n)... (Y/n) would never say that. No, no, he wouldn't. He'd-"

"He'd what? Tell you that he misses you? That he's glad you made it out? That it didn't hurt giving everything up for a selfish brat? Well the thing is that not everyone says what they mean." (Y/n) stepped closer a sinister smile on his face. "Truth is I despised you, with every fiber of my being, I wished nothing more for the day where you'd grow and I could leave to make my own life." (Y/n) says, Eddie felt like the field was huge but at the same time so small as he couldn't escape (Y/n), instead he tripped on his footing and landed on the ground.

"But your dumbass couldn't even graduate high school on time, all those late nights helping you with homework when all I wanted to do was sleep. I would have thought failing once would give you the advantage but no you failed twice!" (Y/n) kneels down in front of him. "You were a heavier burden than you'd like to admit." (Y/n) says before he collapsed on top of Eddie forcing him to lie down on the ground.

"Eddie! Eddie!" Eddie's eyes flew open as he lifted his hand onto his forehead he felt the sweat that was dripping down it. His eyes darted around the car before he realized it was all just a bad dream and that Steve was standing outside the passenger seat concerned. "Hey, hey, hey, you're okay. It was just a nightmare, you're okay Eddie." Steve says holding out his hand for Eddie to take, the other nods and steps out of the car ignoring Steve's hand and heading back over to the door. Steve frowned but decided to give the guy his space as he unlocked the door to the home.

Eddie rushed inside and made a b-line for his room closing the door and locking himself inside letting the tears fall as he runs up to the closet and pulls out his brother's jacket, quickly he slipped it on and pulled out a box on the top shelf. Opening the box he pulled out (Y/n) bracelet and put it on, the pick still attached to it, and he ran back to his bed laying down and curling his legs into his stomach.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry." Eddie cried as he tried to stay as quiet as possible. "I didn't mean to leave you, I didn't want to leave," Eddie muttered as he held the bracelet close to his heart.

After a couple of hours, Eddie had exhausted himself from crying and ended up passing out on his bed.

And deep within the Upside-Down laid a figure on the ground, it wasn't hard to miss them as they were the only person for miles to come. In the silence his eyes flew open revealing blood-red eyes, his nails were claws, his teeth grew fangs, and his skin had lost some of its color. Scars littered his face as well as his arms and neck.

"Kaiser, I see you were finally able to join me." A voice rang out as the male stood up turning to find the sound of the voice. "And you are?" The man asked raising an eyebrow as he looked the other up and down.

"I am the one others call Vecna, you may use that as my name," Vecna says as Kaiser nods his head still weary of the other. "And I am? I can't seem to recall my memories." Kaiser asked as Vecna shook his head.

"None of that matters to you anymore, you are Kaiser one of my trusted soldiers, you work under Lieutenant Kas. That is all you've ever been and all you ever will be." Vecna says taking a step forward and standing face to face with Kaiser. "Now that we have that out of the way I have a mission for you. Kas, our lieutenant, has yet to join us the plan was to have you both here today but it seems as though life had other plans. I need you to retrieve him for me." Vecna says looking down at Kaiser who nods.

"I will do as you command, but how will I find the lieutenant if I have yet to see him?" Kaiser asked as Vecna stepped closer putting his hand on the other's forehead. "I have that all taken care of, this is the man you will seek, I ask you that you bring him back here alive." Venca orders as he peaks into Kaiser's mind making sure that all memories of who he once was were completely and utterly erased, only leaving the picture of a man, a man named Eddie Munson.

"I will not disappoint," Kaiser says as he picked up the spear and shield that laid on the ground, putting the spear behind him as he heads for the opened gate. "I know you won't."

The sun began to set as both Steve and Eddie were now asleep, considering all the chaos that had gone down this was the first night where everything felt peaceful and as the town went to sleep a monster lurked around the corner. The four chimes of a clock could be heard in the distance.

On the top shelf of Eddie's room, (Y/n)'s radio whirled to life as it began flicking through channels on its own, stopping on a station that had been playing For Whom The Bell Tolls by Metallic. The sudden noise startled Eddie as he woke up his eyes darting across the room before they settled on the radio. The male raised an eyebrow as he stood up walking over to it and pulling it off the shelf looking it over to see how it could have possibly turned itself on.

Eddie was about to turn it off when he heard the sound of his window open making him turn around to see a man standing there, the two stared at each other for a bit before Eddie realized who it was, his hands grew sweaty as he lost his grip on the radio making it fall to the ground the music still blasting through its speaker.

"(Y/n)?" Eddie asked as the man had the same face and hair as his brother, clothes as well but the eyes were off, or maybe it was due to the lack of light in the room as the moon was the only light he had. The intruder's eyes weren't soft and welcoming but instead cold and unforgiving and their nails were claws. "I don't know anything about (Y/n), but he is certainly not me, all I know is that I am here for you at the orders of Vecna," Kaiser says staring down at the man who looked to be just as confused as he was a while ago.

"What? Vecna? (Y/n) do you not hear yourself? You're (Y/n) Munson, my brother! Please please tell me this is all a nightmare, I'm just dreaming this up right?" Eddie asked, his brother was actually alive but didn't even recall his own name, there was no way that this wasn't a dream or a nightmare I should say. "Well, if you don't come with me now you'll end up wishing it was a dream." Kaiser tilts his head to the right waiting for Eddie's response.

"(Y/n) this is getting out of hand, if this isn't a dream then you need to snap out of this, (Y-" Kaiser snapped grabbing Eddie by the neck and slamming him into the wall. "Would you quit using that name, he is not me and I am not him, Vecna said I need to take you alive but he never said anything about roughing you up before I do. So how about it ready to find out if this is the dream you claim it is." Kaiser says tightening his grasp on Eddie's neck, the claws just barely piercing the skin as small streams of blood flow down Eddie's neck.

"Please, don't do this," Eddie mutters trying to get some air as the tears that he thought he had run out of came streaming down. "You did this to yours-" Kaiser began but was quickly cut off when he received a bat to the head making him let go of Eddie who was now on the ground gasping for air.

After recovering from the blow Kaiser turned back around to see who had hit him and there stood Steve winding up for another hit as he watched Kaiser snarl as his fangs began to show, Steve's eyes widened as Kaiser charged at him.

"Wait Steve don't, it's (Y/n)!" Eddie yells making Steve lose focus as he turned to look at Eddie, Kaiser took the opportunity and tackled Steve to the ground hitting the floor with a bang. "Steve!" Eddie shouts watching the two struggle against each other as Kaiser tries to bite Steve, Eddie frantically began to look around the room for anything that would help but all that was left was Steve's bat which had been thrown across the room when Steve fell to the ground.

Quickly Eddie made his way to the other side narrowly avoiding the two men who were fighting on the floor, picking up the bat he got behind Kaiser and raised the bat up. "Please, forgive me (Y/n)." He says striking the bat down hard making the other yelp as he grinded his teeth from the pain. Steve took the chance to throw Kaiser off of him and quickly stood up. "Thanks," Steve says as Eddie nods holding the bat tightly as the other stood back up.

The three stared in silence as Kaiser looked between them and for a split second Eddie could swear that the monster's eyes grew soft as if for one split second (Y/n) was able to break through Vecna's control before they became dark and dull again. Kaiser snarled one last time before jumping out the window, making Steve and Eddie flinch as they prepared for another attack that never came.

"Okay, you're staying in my room for now, we'll share the same bed if we have to," Steve said breaking the silence as Eddie walked over to the window, his eyes scanned the area for any sign of them but Kaiser was gone. "Eddie? Did you hear me?" Steve asked once more snapping the other out of his thoughts, only to give Steve a small nod, Steve shook his head and walked over to Eddie grabbing the bat with one hand and Eddie's hand with the other pulling him out of the room.   

(A/n): This is not cannon to the story it's just a fun little chapter I wanted to write cause I love the Kas/Eddie theory but depending on season 5 it just might be, but that is something we'll have to wait for.
